Seoul Cooking classes

My daughter and I had a wonderful experience learning how to make kimchi from scratch. The ingredients were prepared for each station so we did all the chopping and layering the ingredients between the leaves of the napa cabbage. It was a small class so we got to meet other people traveling as well. We got to take home the kimchi and cant wait to make several dishes with it. Kimchi tofu stew, kimchi fried rice and as a side dish. The class was less than an hour so we were able to fit it in to our busy schedule. We also had delicious kimchi pancake after the class was completed. I'm happy we took the class and definitely recommend to a anyone wanting to learn how to make kimchi.

This cooking class was a huge highlight of our trip to Korea! Our chef was not only incredibly talented but also so accommodating, making the entire process feel seamless. We didn’t just follow recipes; we received explicit, easy-to-follow instructions that still allowed for creativity. Beyond the food, we loved learning about the cultural significance behind the ingredients and techniques. We prepared an authentic Korean meal, a main dish, and a variety of side dishes (banchan), which were all spectacular. There was so much food we couldn't even finish it all! If you are in the area, this is a must-do. Highly recommended :)

We chose this specific cooking class because they offer other Korean dishes aside from the basic options (bibimbap, japchae, bulgogi) we knew how to cook. Upon booking, they confirmed via whatsapp our schedule and what menu we want to cook. We chose haemul samgyetang (chicken ginseng soup with seafood). Ester was a very good instructor. She introduced the recipe and provided clear instructions. She also made additional cucumber salad for us to eat with the dish we cooked. Highly recommended if you want to try Korean cooking class!

I love this cooking course. Jiny speaks good English and was very welcoming. Small group cooking feels at ease, Jiny concentrated on each individual making cooking feels at ease. I learnt to cook authentic Korea dishes with detailed recipes from Jiny. 👍

An absolute MUST-DO experience in Seoul! Our family took a cooking class yesterday with Park, and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish! Park was absolutely amazing. His English is fantastic, making communication completely effortless, and we had so many interesting conversations throughout the session. The dishes we prepared were not only extraordinarily delicious, but also visually stunning—true works of art! A huge bonus for families: we brought our 4-year-old daughter along, and Park was incredibly welcoming and accommodating. He included her in the process in such a wonderful, engaging way, making her feel so special and involved. Our whole family enjoyed every single moment. This was easily one of the highlights of our trip to Seoul, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. Seoul Foodventure is probably one of the best cooking experience around. The class was compact and hands-on. We cooked our food almost from "scratch" and ate lunch together. The lesson weren't too hard and our instructors were very knowledgeable and we got to learn a bit of the cultures. The Mangwon market we visited was really fun if you like to mingle with local aunties and uncles as it wasn't swarmed with tourists. Totally recommend this if you're still considering.

I cannot reccomend chef pano enough. this experience was truly a cultural exchange. chef pano was very attentive and engaging. His studio was beautiful, spacious, and very clean. The stroll through the market was so fun and interesting! Chef Pano even bought some chicken feet for us to try because we mentioned it. This was such a beautiful afternoon getting to know the chef and sharing a little about us too. Thank you Chef for a wonderful introduction to Korean cuisine!

What an amazing experience with Junghee at her home and the market. First, we visited the Korean market where she explained various Korean meats and vegetables while providing some street food samples. Then, we went up her beautiful apartment where she was set up for the lesson. We made chicken bulgogi, bibimbap, a tofu stew, and a Korean pancake. The class we easy to follow and Junghee’s lively nature and engagement made it fun. It was a great exposure to Korean culture through food. Highly recommend this tour.

Lovely experience with warm and welcoming host, Jennifer. She explained the history about the dishes and the ingredients. Went with my daughter and we made our favorites, gimbap, tteokbokki, pajeon and army stew. I will highly recommend this to anyone who want to learn more about Korean cooking. 💚💚💚
