such a lovely experience cooking authentic Korean dishes. Jia the chef and instructor was lovely, inviting and very explained everything well. the Japchae and Jaeyuk was delicious and I’ll definitely be making it when I’m back home! Thankyou Jia
the location is at a very peaceful town. the studio itself is very clean and new. Our instructor and her assistant was super super friendly and guided us step by step and gave us tips along the way. Also had a very pleasant conversation with the instructor during the whole session, and we just felt super comfortable and at home during the class. For our session, we made bulgogi and bibimbap. We were provided with all the ingredients (I must say, the ingredients they provided were SUPER fresh and high quality), so the class was very smooth; the recipes were also provided. At the end, we were able to eat the food we had made during the session. throughout, they were very efficient in helping us clear dirty dishes so our tables were always neat. would definitely recommend this to my friends when they come to Seoul :)
The class is excellent value for money, especially for beginners! I booked my spot for August 14th around 9 pm on August 13th and received confirmation soon after. Despite the last-minute booking, Chef Jia graciously accommodated me, and I ended up being the only participant that day! The class is very foreigner-friendly, as Chef Jia speaks fluent English. She’s approachable, knowledgeable, and never hesitated to answer any questions I had. Since it was just the two of us, we had some wonderful conversations during the cooking class. Chef Jia was also kind enough to join me in eating the bulgogi and bibimbap we made together. She even recommended some great dessert and coffee shops nearby. I highly recommend her class and would love to come back to learn more from her!
My daughter and I enjoyed the cooking class. The small group and interaction made it easier ask question or receive assistance from the instructor (Jia). The vibe was relaxed and fun. I also had fun meeting and chatting with my classmates 😊. Definitely recommend reserving a cooking class with Jia while in Korea!
Jia was such a joy to learn from and not only shared her cooking knowledge but also cultural. The kitchen and space were very professional and clean. We cooked glass noodles, spicy tofu and spicy pork which were all delicious!! We even had some special delicacies at the end made by chef Jia herself. No need for hesitation, go ahead and book, it’ll be worth it 😊
I really liked the cooking class and enjoyed it a lot! The instructor is very friendly and talked with us much about the korean cuisine and the korean food culture. She not only showed us how to make the dishes, but also the importance of the different ingredients. The instructions and help made it easy to recreate the food, which was very delicious! The smaller amount of participants made it a relaxed and fun cooking experience.
Highly recommend trying out this cooking class - everything was well-prepared and Jia really made it very straightforward + it was a dish you can definitely make it back in your home country so long as you have access to some sort of Asian mart :) Had a great time!
Thank you very much Jia and Minji for this lovely cooking class and education about korean cuisine history. Everything was well prepared and we received the printed recipe aswell. The menue was so good and well balanced, the explanations were thorough and adaptable to different ingredients. The house was newly rennovated and it looks beautiful - great pleasure to cook there. We were lucky to get recommendations by Minji and Gia on where to enjoy Seoul.
My daughter and I had a wonderful time in Jia's cooking class. When we enter the cooking studio, the ambience made us very comfortable and welcoming. The exchange of conversations and sharing of Jia's life experiences made us feel relaxed. Chef Jia demonstrated how to cook three dishes on that day - Japchae, Bibimbap and Jeyuk Bokkeum which are the more popular dishes among many korean dishes. Later, we had hands on experience of cooking two dishes ourselves. I am glad I had chosen the right cooking class!
I enjoyed every minute of it. Learning how to make the bulgogi sauce and bibimbap from scratch was a pleasure. The information about the dishes were interesting as well. They also used a personal blend of gochujang sauce which is lighter than those bought at the supermarkets.
