Hanoi Cooking classes

This was one of my favourite experiences in Hanoi. The local market tour was a great way to learn about Vietnamese ingredients before heading back to cook. The instructors were friendly, knowledgeable, and made everyone feel welcome, even if you had very little cooking experience. We made several delicious traditional dishes, and the recipes were explained clearly so I can recreate them at home. Everything was well organised, the kitchen was clean, and the atmosphere was fun and relaxed. I left with a full stomach, new cooking skills, and a much better understanding of Vietnamese cuisine. The food was absolutely delicious and has definitely made me want to eat Vietnamese food again when I get home. I would highly recommend this class to anyone visiting Hanoi.

This was a highlight of our trip. Best experience and had fun learning about everything. My husband and I enjoyed so much and we can’t wait to try everything at home. Vy was so great and patient in teaching us and sharing a lot of insights about everything❤️ We would definitely recommend this to our friends! 🥰

A very fun experience for us, we get to hands on make the baguette and this is the first time making a bread from scratch. We also learn alot about the Vietnam coffee. Alex is so friendly and make the class so much fun.

This cooking class was absolutely fantastic! Our instructor was really humorous and engaging, and he spoke English at a slow, clear pace — even people with basic English could follow along easily. He walked us through different Vietnamese spices and ingredients, and we picked up lots of useful English food vocabulary during the session. The whole class was very hands-on: he made sure everyone got involved and took part in every step, so we fully understood how authentic Vietnamese dishes are made. It was such an enjoyable, educational experience, highly Recommend it

Lucy is a great guide! Had a good time in cooking class with fds! Recommend!

Since I was the only person who signed up for the class this time, the instructor taught me one-on-one. I was worried because I'm not very good at English, but at all the key moments, the instructor used a translation app to explain the ingredients and how to make the dishes. We actually went shopping at the market (they even bought me sweets!), and after the lesson, they sent me photos, videos, and even the recipes. Not only do you get to eat delicious food from that country, but learning how to make it makes traveling even more enjoyable! I definitely recommend this experience to anyone who loves cooking! I can't wait to try making the dishes at home while remembering this experience!! It was such a wonderful lesson that leaves you feeling that way!

Chef Hung-Pickle thought us the secrets behind making amazing pho, bun cha, and spring rolls. The tour started with buying fresh ingredients in a local market then to cooking in a gorgeous kitchen, grilling in the backyard, and even rolling up fresh noodles. Such a fun hands-on experience. Totally recommend — 5 stars all the way!

An absolutely fantastic experience—I'd say it was perfect! From the morning market shopping session, to the pick-up and drop-off transport, to the cooking venue and the staff's attitudes—everything deserves full marks from me!! The dishes we made were incredibly delicious too haha, and I also made a lot of new friends;) It was my last day in Hanoi, and I'm so glad I chose Dine with Locals~

I had a very informative time making Vietnamese pho and local-style coffee at the cooking class. Pho: I was able to learn in detail from the process of making the broth to preparing the noodles and toppings. I am very satisfied to have gained tips on recreating the deep, local flavor at home. Coffee: I learned how to extract and make Vietnam's signature rich and sweet coffee using condensed milk and cream. The process was not complicated yet tasted wonderful, making it very practical. Thanks to the instructor's kind explanations and systematic guidance, even beginners can easily follow along. I highly recommend it for the opportunity to enjoy the dishes you make yourself.
