Nijo Market is a famous fish market right in the middle of Sapporo. As you walk through the narrow paths, you’ll see lots of small restaurants and stalls selling all kinds of fresh seafood. One dish you have to try is the seafood bowls. It usually has salmon roe, sea urchin, and snow crab on top of soft rice. These rice bowls are a great way to taste the freshest seafood the market has to offer. You can also buy great local ingredients here, whether you're looking for top-notch seafood, fresh vegetables, or Hokkaido’s special dairy products. It’s also close to cool spots like the Sapporo TV Tower and Odori Park, so it’s easy to include in your day of exploring Sapporo. Whether you want to try the freshest bites or you’re searching for unique local gifts, this market has something for everyone. Plan a trip and enjoy the exciting flavors and culture at Sapporo's Nijo Market!

Guide Son Sook-kyung was really the best. She always arranged her time so that we could arrive about 5 minutes earlier than other groups, so we could take pictures and enjoy ourselves very comfortably! She even created a group chat to tell us about good restaurants and helped us make reservations. There was a slight communication error with the Genghis Khan restaurant, which caused a delay in our entrance, but even though the tour was over, she contacted us directly and helped us resolve the situation! She was really the best guide!! If I go again, I would like to schedule a day when guide Son Sook-kyung leads. I will replace the schedule and scenery with photos. It is such a beautiful place.
