Transport in Osaka

For this trip to Osaka, high-quality transportation is essential. Purchasing the Nankai Electric Railway round-trip ticket (Kansai Airport - Namba/Tengachaya) was incredibly convenient and easy (all seats are reserved, so no need to compete with other passengers for a spot). Plus, choosing the appropriate disembarkation point based on your accommodation, for example, getting off at Tengachaya if you're staying near Tsutenkaku, makes the train journey smooth and the distance quite short (highly recommended). It's also worth mentioning that using the electronic QR code for entry and exit is convenient and eliminates worries about losing your ticket. There's no need to fret about family members or large groups; simply scan one by one for smooth entry and exit. This design perfectly meets travelers' needs and is very thoughtful (electronic tickets are super highly recommended).

Since it was my first time in Osaka, I didn't do any research beforehand and got a bit lost trying to find my way. I also had a little trouble finding my tickets because I had paper tickets instead of QR codes. I scanned the QR code at the ticket machine, issued the tickets, selected my seats, and received two physical tickets. There's also a counter right next to it where you can get an Icoca card, so minors or those without Apple Pay can handle both at once. They'll issue an Icoca card for 2000 yen.

I bought this pass as I travel a lot using public transport. so it’s more cheaper and buying multiple one way tickets. just activate and scan the qr code. it’s sufficient for those who rely on metro heavily in a day.

Reserved the Kansai Airport Limousine Bus to the Umeda/Osaka Station area via Klook and it made our arrival in Japan much easier. Instead of navigating multiple train transfers with luggage, we were able to head straight to the city comfortably after landing at Kansai International Airport. The boarding process was organized, and the staff efficiently handled passengers’ baggage. The bus itself was spacious, clean, and comfortable, making the journey relaxing after a tiring flight. Ticket redemption through the Klook app was also simple and convenient, with clear instructions provided beforehand. Travel time felt smooth and hassle-free all the way to Umeda.

If you plan to explore the Northern Kansai region, this pass is a must-buy, as it covers all reserved seats without any additional charges. We used this single pass for our trips to Maizuru, Amanohashidate, Fukuchiyama, Yumura Onsen, Kinosaki Onsen, and Kobe before returning to Osaka! It's incredibly cost-effective for a two-day trip to Amanohashidate and the surrounding area! Kintetsu 5 days Pass was totally worth it as I was shifting places from Osaka to Kyoto to Nara then Osaka, this pass covered unlimited train ride gave me a wonderful experiences in Japan especially during spring season. I was abit worried coz of digital pass which is QR code (can’t keep screenshot to enter, QR will reload after 5 minutes) but as long as you got stable internet, it would be fine. please read the instructions carefully before buying so that you will be familiar with. In my case, I didn’t use the 5 days pass right away, at first I tried to use local train by using ICOCA once I landed in Osaka then used it for 2 days then got to know the train routes then I started using on my 3rd day. recommended 🫶

Great value if your itinerary covers east of Kyoto and accessible by Keihan line. Return trip from Osaka already paid for itself. Doesn’t cover city buses though
