This was my first time visiting for the lunch buffet since the restaurant renovation, and it was for a friend's birthday. The food quality was very high, with oysters, king crab legs, sashimi, chilled shrimp, and chilled conch available. While the variety wasn't extensive, freshness was paramount. It was a shame that on a Saturday, the restaurant was only about half full; I hope business improves in the future. The biggest surprise was the bar staff, who made specialty drinks for guests on the spot. Besides regular coffee or tea, she could also prepare iced lattes (no ice, no sugar) or coffee tonics. My friends and I were all very happy, eating and chatting slowly from 12 PM to 2:30 PM. It was a great weekend activity, and I highly recommend everyone try it!

The Hong Kong Ocean Park Marriott Hotel's buffet, "Steaming Hot All-You-Can-Eat Lobster, Unbeatable!" is the ultimate choice for a satisfying and abundant buffet. The food selection is rich and delicious, featuring both Chinese and Western dishes, and the buy-one-get-one-free price offers great value! However, because all the food options are incredibly tempting, even though I come here to enjoy the dinner buffet once or twice a month, I truly can't try everything! So, don't worry about the line for the "hot lobster" being longer than an army; many people, including myself, only eat half or one lobster. The reason is to save room for exploring all sorts of other delicious foods. You'll be surprised to find that soon "no one is queuing for lobster, because all the other delicacies are too good!" Also, the staff are polite and incredibly quick at clearing plates, true professional "plate-clearing specialists" – but they don't clear alien UFO "flying saucers." So, you definitely won't find any trace or information about the Hong Kong Marriott Hotel's "Pier Lounge & Bar" buffet's "generational plate-clearing specialists" in the recently declassified U.S. "UFO flying saucer files"! Haha!

This time, we booked the dinner buffet for a birthday celebration. The last time I visited was three years ago for the lunch buffet. While the variety of food isn't extensive, the quality is excellent. I'm grateful to the restaurant for arranging a window seat for us this time; the view was lovely. The evening atmosphere is much better than during the day. There weren't too many diners, and everyone was very orderly when getting food, allowing us to enjoy our meal in a quiet and comfortable environment. 👍🏻 A special mention goes to the attentive staff who constantly checked if any plates needed to be cleared. They even prepared a small cake and took photos of us with the night view from the window sill. 🙂 The theme of this buffet was Japanese cuisine, featuring dishes like sukiyaki and caviar wagyu sushi, which suited my current preference for lighter meals. Additionally, the ginseng chicken soup had a strong ginseng flavor without being too overpowering; I had three extra servings! The desserts were decent, and there was a good selection of homemade gelato flavors. One highlight was the unique baked goods; I even made my own mini pineapple bun. 🤭

Highly recommend The Astor restaurant ✨ I specifically came to The Astor restaurant for their buffet lunch this time, and the overall experience can only be described as "extremely satisfied." Whether it was the location, service, or food quality, everything completely exceeded my expectations! Excellent and convenient location 📍 The restaurant is located in Eaton HK, and its location is very convenient. It's just a short walk from the bus stop or MTR station, making it extremely accessible. The overall design of the restaurant is very distinctive, combining a nostalgic, retro cinematic feel with modern and comfortable elegance. The moment you step in, you feel relaxed and happy. Impeccable staff service 💯 I particularly want to commend the service attitude of all the front-line staff that day! From the host seating guests, to the plate clearers, and the chefs at each food counter, everyone was smiling and incredibly polite. The plate clearing was very fast and efficient, never allowing empty plates to pile up on the table. They were also constantly attentive to guests' needs, making everyone feel truly welcome and well-cared for. Extremely high standard of food quality (seafood & food) 🦀 What amazed me most was the richness and quality of the food! The seafood was incredibly fresh, and cold dishes like oysters and bread crabs were replenished very quickly – I never saw an empty platter. The hot food selection was diverse, whether it was roasted beef, roasted lamb leg, flavorful cooked dishes, or exquisite dim sum, the seasoning was just right, clearly showing the culinary team's dedication. The dessert section was the perfect ending, with a wide selection of ice cream and various delicate mini cakes, all of a standard that rivals high-end dessert shops. In summary: The Astor restaurant demonstrates extremely high standards in terms of environment, service, and food, offering excellent value for money. This is definitely a dining experience that makes you want to visit again. I highly recommend it to all friends who seek delicious food and quality service!

On May 29th, we visited the Harbour Grand Kowloon in Whampoa to enjoy a sumptuous buffet lunch (12:00-14:30). The price was reasonable and offered excellent value for money. There was a wide variety of food, and the quality and taste were guaranteed. The hotel staff provided excellent service. I have patronized this hotel many times and have never been dissatisfied. Our table was located near the food, as requested by one of our two guests, an elder, making it easy to access the dishes. The environment was pleasant with bright natural light from the floor-to-ceiling windows. Although the air conditioning was slightly insufficient, it wasn't a major issue. Regarding the food, there was roast beef, which I particularly enjoyed, as well as salmon sashimi, octopus, fresh scallops, and fresh red shrimp – all fresh and varied. The cakes and desserts were satisfying. There was a slight shortage of cutlery, but it was replenished quickly, perhaps due to the kitchen not being able to wash and replace them fast enough. Overall, I give it a five-star rating and am completely satisfied.

I've wanted to try Yamm's dinner buffet ever since I saw a YouTuber review it. Klook had a discount, so I booked a table immediately. All the food was delicious. The abalone and fish maw were tender and flavorful. They even had scallops for sashimi, which is rare. There was a wide variety of cold dishes, including lobster, bread crab, crab legs, razor clams, lobster claws, clams, mussels, and snails. The wagyu claypot rice, wagyu sukiyaki, and roasted beef were all very tasty. The char siu was lean and juicy, and the Peking duck was also good. There were grilled prawns, tempura, and foie gras toast. The dessert selection was extensive, and you could add red beans to the tofu pudding yourself; it looked good and tasted great. There was a wide range of hot and cold drinks, including juices, self-service hot and cold lemon tea, coffee, and a coffee machine for various coffee types. The ice cream was Häagen-Dazs cups. I wanted to encore many dishes, but my stomach quota was full. I haven't had such a delicious buffet in a long time. The restaurant was well-staffed, plates were cleared quickly, and each food counter had dedicated staff, so no one person was serving multiple counters. Food was refilled quickly, so there was no worry about things running out if you weren't fast enough; you could eat at your leisure. Full marks!

Due to the limited space, although they managed to fit in a lot of food options, the tables were a bit small and close together. In the middle of the dining area, there was a birthday cake celebration for guests to take photos, and someone played the guitar and sang birthday songs to add to the atmosphere. After the photos, a bell rang, and everyone could line up to get a mixed fruit Napoleon birthday cake, which tasted quite good. The best dishes that evening were the grilled ox tongue skewers and the Thai cucumber and abalone dish, which each person received a plate of. Most of the time, the Royal Garden buffet is in an enclosed space with few window seats. I was so happy to get a window seat tonight, allowing me to watch the Victoria Harbour laser show at 8 PM.

The buffet restaurant offers beautiful sea views and comfortable seating, with a reasonable variety of food. However, the hot soup dishes were disappointingly cold, not hot. The male staff member who cleared plates and served ice cream and desserts had an excellent attitude. A major drawback, though, was that precisely at 9:30 PM, when the buffet was scheduled to end, most of the chefs and staff collectively made loud, clanging metal kitchenware and cutlery noises that everyone in the restaurant could hear! This method of clearing metal utensils and rapidly removing food made it seem as if guests were not allowed to stay even one second longer! It was quite startling and embarrassing for customers, almost as if they were being rushed out. All the guests, including a foreign family of three who had arrived late and only had an hour to dine, quickly got up and left the restaurant with me and other patrons. In all my years of frequently enjoying buffets at various hotels in Hong Kong, I have never encountered a hotel restaurant where, precisely at closing time, most of the chefs would display displeasure and deliberately create loud metallic noises, subtly hinting for guests to leave quickly. This was a rare and unsettling experience! Adding to this unpleasant experience, there was a huge, terrifying painting at the restaurant entrance when I left. The painting had a dark, somber tone, depicting only two expressionless men and a child staring directly at you, with terrifying, bottomless black eyes and no whites. It was incredibly eerie and disturbing! No wonder I had previously seen comments from guests saying their seats were in front of this giant painting. I couldn't understand why such a terrifying and unsettling painting of men and a child would be displayed at the entrance of a five-star hotel's high-end restaurant. Seeing this horrifying painting as I left only deepened the unpleasantness of this buffet experience!

We booked a table through Klook for the semi-buffet dinner at the Lobby Café in Hopewell Hotel, Wan Chai. The restaurant has a stylish decor, and the tables are well-spaced. The food selection was appropriate; that evening, the seafood included crab legs, shrimp, and mussels, along with roast beef, Western soup (cream soup), Chinese soup (lotus root and pork hock soup), poached chicken, sushi, Parma ham, cheese, pork siu mai, and crab meat salad. The salad greens were very fresh. Desserts included Movenpick ice cream, chocolate bread pudding, and chocolate soufflé, all of which were delicious. Food was refilled quickly. If you inform the restaurant in advance for a birthday celebration, you can receive a complimentary dessert and a personalized message.
