Restaurace v Lung Fu Shan Country Garden

This was my first time visiting for the lunch buffet since the restaurant renovation, and it was for a friend's birthday. The food quality was very high, with oysters, king crab legs, sashimi, chilled shrimp, and chilled conch available. While the variety wasn't extensive, freshness was paramount. It was a shame that on a Saturday, the restaurant was only about half full; I hope business improves in the future. The biggest surprise was the bar staff, who made specialty drinks for guests on the spot. Besides regular coffee or tea, she could also prepare iced lattes (no ice, no sugar) or coffee tonics. My friends and I were all very happy, eating and chatting slowly from 12 PM to 2:30 PM. It was a great weekend activity, and I highly recommend everyone try it!

Bufet v Hong Kong Ocean Park Marriott Hotel „Horký humr, sněz, co můžeš, nepřekonatelný!“ je bezkonkurenční volbou pro bohatý bufet „velké spokojenosti“. Nabízí širokou škálu chutných čínských i západních jídel a cena je „kup jeden, dostaneš jeden zdarma“, což je skvělá hodnota za peníze! Ale protože jsou všechny druhy jídla super lákavé, i když sem chodím na bufetovou večeři jednou až dvakrát měsíčně, opravdu nemohu ochutnat všechno jídlo! Takže se nemusíte bát, že by fronta na „horkého humra“ byla… delší než „armáda“, mnoho lidí, včetně „mě“, sní jen půlku nebo jednoho humra, protože si šetří „místo v břiše“, aby ochutnali různé lahodné pokrmy. Brzy s překvapením zjistíte, že „nikdo nestojí ve frontě na humra, protože ostatní lahůdky jsou už pryč!“. Kromě toho jsou číšníci zdvořilí a „rychlí jako blesk“ při odklízení talířů, jsou to profesionální „specialisté na odklízení talířů“, ale neodklízejí mimozemské UFO „létající talíře“. Takže v nedávno zveřejněných, léta tajných „UFO souborech“ z USA rozhodně nenajdete stopy ani informace o „generaci specialistů na odklízení talířů“ z bufetu „The Pier Kitchen“ v Hong Kong Marriott Hotel! Haha!

This time, we booked the dinner buffet for a birthday celebration. The last time I visited was three years ago for the lunch buffet. While the variety of food isn't extensive, the quality is excellent. I'm grateful to the restaurant for arranging a window seat for us this time; the view was lovely. The evening atmosphere is much better than during the day. There weren't too many diners, and everyone was very orderly when getting food, allowing us to enjoy our meal in a quiet and comfortable environment. 👍🏻 A special mention goes to the attentive staff who constantly checked if any plates needed to be cleared. They even prepared a small cake and took photos of us with the night view from the window sill. 🙂 The theme of this buffet was Japanese cuisine, featuring dishes like sukiyaki and caviar wagyu sushi, which suited my current preference for lighter meals. Additionally, the ginseng chicken soup had a strong ginseng flavor without being too overpowering; I had three extra servings! The desserts were decent, and there was a good selection of homemade gelato flavors. One highlight was the unique baked goods; I even made my own mini pineapple bun. 🤭

Absolutně dokonalý zážitek z obědového bufetu! Vřele doporučuji restauraci The Astor ✨ Tento obědový bufet v restauraci The Astor jsem si vyzkoušel/a speciálně a celkový zážitek lze popsat jednoduše jako „velmi spokojený/á“. Poloha, obsluha i kvalita jídla, to vše zcela předčilo moje očekávání! Skvělá a dostupná poloha 📍 Restaurace se nachází v hotelu Eaton, její umístění je velmi praktické. Po výstupu z autobusu nebo stanice metra jste tam za chvíli, což je nesmírně pohodlné. Celkový design interiéru restaurace je velmi osobitý – spojuje v sobě nostalgický retro filmový nádech a moderní, stylový komfort. Hned po vstupu se člověk cítí uvolněně a příjemně. Bezchybný personál a servis 💯 Chtěl/a bych obzvlášť vyzdvihnout přístup všech pracovníků v první linii v daný den! Od usazení ke stolu přes sklízení talířů až po kuchaře u jednotlivých pultů s jídlem – všichni se usmívali a byli nesmírně zdvořilí. Sklízení prázdných talířů probíhalo velmi rychle a obratně, takže se na stole nikdy nehromadily, a personál navíc neustále sledoval potřeby hostů, což vytvářelo pocit vřelého přivítání. Špičková kvalita jídla – mořské plody a další speciality 🦀 Nejvíce mě ohromila rozmanitost a kvalita pokrmů! Mořské plody byly velmi čerstvé, studené mísy s ústřicemi, kraby a dalšími delikatesami se doplňovaly bleskovou rychlostí a nikdy nebyly prázdné. Výběr teplých jídel byl pestrý – ať už šlo o rostbíf, pečenou jehněčí kýtu, chutná hotová jídla nebo vytříbené dim sum, dochucení bylo naprosto přesné a bylo znát, že si kuchařský tým dal opravdu záležet. Závěrečná dezertní část byla dokonalou tečkou, výběr zmrzliny a různých jemných dortíků byl obrovský a svou úrovní si nezadal s luxusními cukrárnami. Shrnutí: Restaurace The Astor ukázala velmi vysokou úroveň jak v prostředí, tak v obsluze a jídle, a navíc nabízí skvělý poměr ceny a kvality. Rozhodně jde o zážitek, ke kterému se budu chtít zase vrátit, a vřele ji doporučuji všem, kdo hledají skvělé jídlo a prvotřídní servis!

I'd been wanting to try the dinner buffet at Yamm ever since I saw a YouTuber review it, so when I found a discount on Klook, I booked a table right away. All the food was delicious. The abalone and fish maw were tender and flavorful. They even had scallops for sashimi, which is quite rare. The cold appetizer selection was extensive, featuring lobster, bread crab, crab legs, razor clams, lobster claws, clams, mussels, snails, and more. The wagyu claypot rice, wagyu sukiyaki, and roast beef were all excellent. The char siu was lean yet juicy, and the Peking duck was also tasty. They offered grilled prawns, tempura, and foie gras toast. The dessert variety was impressive; you could even add red beans to your tofu pudding, which looked and tasted great. There was a wide range of hot and cold beverages, including juices, self-serve iced and hot lemon tea, coffee, and a coffee machine for various coffee drinks. The ice cream was individual cups of Häagen-Dazs. I wanted to go back for more of so many dishes, but my stomach was already full. I haven't had such a delicious buffet in a long time. The restaurant was well-staffed, plates were cleared quickly, and each food counter had dedicated personnel, so no one person was serving multiple counters. Food was refilled promptly, so there was no rush to grab items before they ran out, allowing us to enjoy our meal at a leisurely pace. Full marks!

On May 29th, we visited the Kowloon Whampoa Harbour Grand Hotel to enjoy a lavish buffet lunch (12:00 PM - 2:30 PM). The price was reasonable and offered excellent value for money. There was a wide variety of food, and the quality and taste were guaranteed to be delicious. The hotel staff and servers provided excellent service. We've dined here many times and have never been dissatisfied. Our table was conveniently located near the food, which was perfect as one of our party was an elderly person who requested easy access to the buffet. The environment was pleasant with bright natural light from the floor-to-ceiling windows, though the air conditioning was slightly insufficient, which wasn't a major issue. Regarding the food, there was roast beef, which is my favorite, as well as salmon sashimi, octopus, fresh scallops, and fresh red shrimp—all fresh and varied. The cakes and desserts were satisfying. There was a slight shortage of cutlery, but it was replenished quickly, perhaps because the kitchen couldn't wash and replace it fast enough. Overall, I give it a five-star rating; it was a satisfactory experience.

The restaurant was at full capacity, and the food selection was good. Staff were quick to clear dishes, and the chefs were enthusiastic and polite. Due to the limited space, although they managed to fit in a lot of food options, the tables were a bit small and close together. In the middle of the dining area, there was a birthday cake celebration for guests to take photos, and someone played the guitar and sang birthday songs to add to the atmosphere. After the photos, a bell rang, and everyone could line up to get a mixed fruit Napoleon birthday cake, which tasted quite good. The best dishes that evening were the grilled ox tongue skewers and the Thai cucumber and abalone dish, which each person received a plate of. Most of the time, the Royal Garden buffet is in an enclosed space with few window seats. I was so happy to get a window seat tonight, allowing me to watch the Victoria Harbour laser show at 8 PM.

The buffet restaurant offers beautiful sea views and comfortable seating, with a reasonable variety of food. However, the hot soup dishes were disappointingly cold, not hot. The male staff member who cleared plates and served ice cream and desserts had an excellent attitude. A major drawback, though, was that precisely at 9:30 PM, when the buffet was scheduled to end, most of the chefs and staff collectively made loud, clanging metal kitchenware and cutlery noises that everyone in the restaurant could hear! This method of clearing metal utensils and rapidly removing food made it seem as if guests were not allowed to stay even one second longer! It was quite startling and embarrassing for customers, almost as if they were being rushed out. All the guests, including a foreign family of three who had arrived late and only had an hour to dine, quickly got up and left the restaurant with me and other patrons. In all my years of frequently enjoying buffets at various hotels in Hong Kong, I have never encountered a hotel restaurant where, precisely at closing time, most of the chefs would display displeasure and deliberately create loud metallic noises, subtly hinting for guests to leave quickly. This was a rare and unsettling experience! Adding to this unpleasant experience, there was a huge, terrifying painting at the restaurant entrance when I left. The painting had a dark, somber tone, depicting only two expressionless men and a child staring directly at you, with terrifying, bottomless black eyes and no whites. It was incredibly eerie and disturbing! No wonder I had previously seen comments from guests saying their seats were in front of this giant painting. I couldn't understand why such a terrifying and unsettling painting of men and a child would be displayed at the entrance of a five-star hotel's high-end restaurant. Seeing this horrifying painting as I left only deepened the unpleasantness of this buffet experience!

We celebrated my husband's birthday, and the food quality was excellent with a good variety. The grilled scallops were served in small batches, but luckily there weren't many people in line, so we managed to get some twice. There was also a wide selection of desserts. While there wasn't unlimited soda, there were many other drink options, including iced tea, iced coffee, and even a DIY marshmallow station. We received a complimentary birthday cake with a personalized plate, which my husband really enjoyed. The waitstaff provided high-quality service as well. We will definitely come again.
