Fantastic 5.0
This was my first trip to Japan, just my son and me. Japan was an unfamiliar place for me, and I was a bit scared because it was my first time selecting a destination and planning everything, and while I know some Chinese characters, I don't speak Japanese. However, after arriving, the process of taking the Rapi:t train and finding the Hiyori Hotel from Namba Station went more smoothly than I expected. While it might be normal for others, accomplishing each step felt quite amazing to me, haha. Plus, as soon as we arrived, a kind Korean student employee at the front desk greeted us, and unfamiliar Japan quickly began to feel familiar. My mood was at its peak! But then, I suddenly started to develop a fever. My body was getting weaker, but my son was completely focused on finding character figures rather than his mom's well-being... 😂 Still, I understood, as the main purpose of this trip was for my son, who had been singing about wanting to buy figures in Japan, haha. After finishing our shopping and returning to the hotel around 7 PM, my fever had already exceeded 100.4°F (38°C). I immediately asked the Korean employee at the front desk for help, and they promptly found a nearby hospital that could treat foreigners. It was less than a 10-minute walk from the hotel, so even I, who am terrible with directions, could easily find it. The hospital had nurses who spoke foreign languages, and since I can speak Chinese, I was able to communicate directly, receive a diagnosis, examination, and medication prescription, and returned to the hotel a little after 9 PM. While I was at the hospital, the Korean employee took care of my son, who was waiting at the hotel. They gave him snacks, and it seems my son spent his time making takoyaki in the lounge and catching Pokémon. 🥹 Getting suddenly sick in an unfamiliar country was truly overwhelming, but thanks to the help of the staff, I was able to receive treatment safely. I am grateful to the Korean employee who greeted us brightly and kindly assisted us from the day we arrived until the day we left, and also to the other staff members. Thanks to them, despite the unexpected incident, my first trip to Japan with my son ended with good memories. Thank you very much! 🙏

Fantastic 5.0
The hotel’s location is one of its biggest advantages—it’s close to almost everything, including the train station, tour meetup points, tourist attractions, restaurants, and shopping areas. The hotel also offers plenty of amenities for guests. They provide sleepwear, and you can even borrow an umbrella if needed. Check-in starts at 3:00 PM, while check-out is at 11:00 AM. The self-service check-in and check-out machines make the process quick and convenient. There are vending machines and a laundry area available on-site, and some floors are equipped with microwave ovens for guest use. Overall, it’s a comfortable and convenient place to stay, especially for travelers looking to explore the city.

Fantastic 5.0
I chose to book the Namba Oriental Hotel because it's not only a 3-minute walk from Namba Station, but it's also right in the heart of attractions like Glico and Dotonbori, so you definitely won't get lost. If you're coming from Kansai Airport, just take the local Express Train, and Namba is the very last stop. 🫶❤️

Fantastic 5.0
Osaka Hotel Granvia makes me feel deeply that it's my home in Japan when I travel to Osaka; it's so familiar. This is already my third stay. Among countless options, I always choose this one because no other hotel can compare. With the Grand Green park half-completed, walking through it, whether day or night, is incredibly relaxing and fully satisfies the healing sensation of traveling abroad. Hotel Granvia itself represents the best in food, clothing, housing, and transportation. There's a Harves supermarket on B1, and numerous major shopping malls. Most importantly, the connecting passages between each mall are exceptionally well-designed, which is one of the prime examples of Japanese railway economics at its finest. All its amazing qualities speak for themselves.

When planning our first trip to Japan with the kids, I was debating where to stay, and this place was a perfect pick! It was such a relief and so welcoming to find a Korean staff member at the front desk. The hotel was within walking distance of Namba Station, Dotonbori, and Shinsaibashi. It was quiet at night, but there were convenience stores (FamilyMart, Lawson) nearby, which was great for late-night snacks. The real highlight, though, was the large public bath on the 17th floor. After walking 20,000 steps each day, I could relax and recover in the bath, ready to walk another 20,000 steps the next day! We also tried the breakfast, and the natto and tofu were delicious; overall, the food was quite good. Next time I visit Osaka with the kids, I'll definitely choose this hotel again. We had a wonderful stay!

I absolutely loved my stay at Candeo Hotels Osaka The Tower. The location is excellent, the staff are attentive and helpful, and the breakfast is high quality. The rooftop spa is amazing, with breathtaking views over Osaka. The room and the hotel in general were very clean, comfortable, and well maintained, with everything needed for a pleasant stay.

Love the place, super quiet but luxurious quality. Room is spacious enough for a solo traveler like myself. Staff are friendly as well. Subway station is just outside the hotel. 7eleven, starbucks and various restaurants are all around the area. Has direct access to a drugstore as well, perfect for your grocery. Would definitely reco to my family and friends! Thank you guys! 🙏

This hotel provides basic amenities, has an Onsen on 4/F for hotel guest, and closes to JR Namba station. It’s not far to get to local attractions and other cities for sightseeing.

The location is convenient, less than a three-minute walk from Nihonbashi subway station, and right next to Dotonbori. The room has a Japanese feel, and there's free ramen for a late-night snack. After a hot bath, you can also enjoy free popsicles. Highly recommended!

More about Osaka hotels

What staying in Osaka feels like

Staying in Osaka spans a noticeable range: the top-tier rooms run about 4.8 times the cost of the most affordable economy options, so there’s clear room to move up (or down) depending on budget. The best balance between price and comfort sits in the premium tier, making it a solid choice for travellers who want good value without stretching to luxury.

How the hotel classes compare and who they suit

Economy rooms sit at the budget end and are markedly cheaper than the rest, suiting cost-conscious travellers or short-stay visitors who prioritise price. Standard rooms step up from economy with more comfort and a moderate price increase, appealing to travellers seeking a reliable mid-range stay. The premium tier offers the best value trade-off between amenities and cost and is the biggest sweet spot for most visitors; moving beyond premium to luxury is the largest price jump. Luxury rooms command a noticeably higher rate than premium and are aimed at travellers who prioritise extra space or indulgence and are willing to pay for it.

When travellers book

Rooms are typically cheapest in 6月 and most expensive in 10月, so a budget-led trip fits best around 6月 when rates dip. Travellers usually lock in a room about 39 days ahead, and availability tends to solidify more as the priciest month approaches.
