This was such an amazing experience ! The best I’ve had since arriving in Japan! Yuki is very nice and welcoming, and she has the cutest cat ever 🥹. We talked a lot and I got to know her - I had a lot of fun making the Wagashi Sweets with her (she’s the best sensei you’ll find). She spoke English pretty well and we didn’t have any trouble understanding each other ! Mine didn’t turn out that great but I was so happy with them and they tasted amazing ! I don’t usually write comments on Klook but if I could I’d rate her a 11/10. I’m really thankful to her for welcoming me into her home (even when I was late) and taking the time to teach me and learn to know me better. I’ll for sure be back !

Had a wonderful time looking at the lush, bright colours of Sapporo. Our guide Sunny, was fun, entertaining and shared cool insights/quirks about each place. Visiting the countryside definitely gave me a breather and relax from the hustle & bustle of the city. Although the crowds at the spots were quite much, it's best to do in the peak season to watch the flowers in full bloom.

The trip turned up to be surprisingly enjoyable despite we were too early for lots of flowers . The Blue Pond was spectacular despite the drizzly weather. Trip to Shikisai No Oka was truly eye opening and we truly immersed ourselves under the cool summer day. Farm Tomita never disappoints us with the chance to taste the ice cream and melon with the beautiful flower views. lastly must comment the guide Yan who patiently explained all the places of interest in English, Chinese and Japanese.

We had an awesome time on the Furano Biei tour with Jenny! She was super organized and messaged us the day before with a helpful checklist of what to bring. During the tour, she shared really cool historical facts at every stop without making it boring. Plus, her food recommendations were spot on—she knew exactly what local specialties to try and where to get them for the best price. Highly recommend her!

Fantastic 5.0
Victoria was very professional and kind, carefully introducing and looking after everyone throughout the trip. She even spotted us at Shikisai-no-Oka and specifically suggested we go play with the alpacas. It turns out they are really cute and love to eat. Lunch was also quite good; we even got to have a BBQ buffet. Grilling the BBQ meat with kimchi instantly turned it into Korean-style stir-fry, haha! All the food was fresh and delicious, and the skewers and pumpkin tempura were perfectly to my liking. Regarding the all-you-can-eat melon, it was sweet and tasty, and available right from the start. Of course, I had a piece first to get things started (haha) before heading to the buffet. There was only one downside to the entire trip: sitting next to "Chinese people" on the bus. They were incredibly energetic, like "espresso," keeping you super alert at all times because they talked non-stop and loudly, preventing you from resting, relaxing, or calming down. Even when our guide Victoria was speaking, they had to talk at the same time. Seriously, wherever Chinese people are, bad luck follows! I was the unlucky one! (っ ˃̣̣̥᷄︵˂̣̣̥᷅ )っ⁾⁾

What to know before visiting Sapporo

Quick overview of Sapporo and what draws visitors

Sapporo is a winter-centred destination where tours, outdoor & sports activities, and sightseeing spots like cable cars and observation decks lead visitor bookings. Demand peaks in January and dips in September, so the city’s yearly rhythm swings between a busy winter season and much quieter late summer. Expect a mix of snowy-season activity bookings and steady interest in year-round sightseeing.

When to visit for crowds and prices

According to Klook booking data, January is the busiest month while September sees the lowest demand. Prices typically rise into the winter: Klook’s data shows the priciest month around January and the cheapest around August, with mid-year months showing modest variation. If you want lower prices and smaller crowds, plan for late summer months; if you want the peak-season atmosphere and winter events, aim for January and the surrounding winter months. In Sapporo, demand and prices mostly move together—peak demand aligns with higher prices in winter, while quieter months tend to be cheaper.

Tips for travellers from Global

Most visitors book around a week ahead on average, though last-minute bookings are still possible (about a day out) and early planners often book a few weeks in advance. For short-notice flexibility, many tours and activities can be secured a day or two beforehand; if you’re travelling in peak winter months, consider booking earlier to lock in popular outdoor experiences. Use Klook to compare options and secure tickets or tours that match your travel dates and pace.
