Sapporo Jozankei & Great Buddha Head Cultural Immersion Day Tour

Prompt and on time, from pick up to the places in the IT. Time alloted to each site was adequate. We enjoyed the Shiroi Koibito Chocolate Factory, Hill of the Buddha and the Jozankei Onsen town where we were able to soak our tired feet for free. Though it was raining a bit at some of the places, overall it was a great and enjoyable tour. Special mention to our tour guide Alex who provided us with so much information about the different places we went to. He was also always around when you have questions.

Nice, smooth & convenient way to see a lot of tourist sites without driving or navigating on your own via public transport. Our tour guide Vivi was wonderful! She met us inside the hotel for departure meeting point (with her white tour flag). She spoke well in multiple languages including English. She was very detailed, clear, & knowledgeable throughout the tour. Vivi explained to us about each stop while we are transiting before stop. Clear instructions & time when to meet back up on the bus! Also, Vivi was very helpful with ordering food & buying admission tickets - THANK YOU! Our bus driver provided smooth ride & kindly offer us umbrellas when it rained. Improvement suggestion is more time at some stops (we did not have enough time some places & did see everything). More time prefer: the shrine, seafood market (lunch), beer museum. Less time prefer at Hill of Buddha/statues. Tips for travelers - bring cash, a small towel if you use the free foot baths, bring umbrella for rain.

Our guide was Emma. Most people on the tour bus was punctual and the bus could leave on time except for the last 2 stops where this one guy was late to the bus. And then again late for the last stop. From the start, emma already mentioned the importance of being punctual as there were other people in the tour and bus driver had strict working hours to adhere to in Japan. Eventually we left to go back to the city without the guy as he was almost 10 mins late and nowhere to be seen. I believe best efforts were made by Emma in trying to contact him before deciding to leave the place without him. (saw his 1 star review on klook). Try the snow crab instead at the seafood market. i think the king crab is kinda overrated.

Although we traveled as a big group, Emma was able to provide guidance in English, Mandarin, and Japanese! The itinerary was perfect- we hit so many places- the timing given was just enough for each location. Emma gave great recommendations on how to maximize our time at each point of interest, including a nice lunch recommendation! Thanks to Emma and the clear time schedules given we completed our day and made lasting memories!

The weather was sunny and the whole day's journey went smoothly. Tour guide was helpful and understanding. Driver was friendly and patient. There was many items on the list but there was no rush and time was sufficient.

Very well planned tour with sufficient time at each stop. While Shiroikoibito Park was closed for the day, the tour guide, Vivi extended the time allocated to each of the other stops. Vivi was well-versed with the locations, and was informative and approachable. She was also well spoken in both English and Mandarin, and I appreciated that she would display the return time on her tablet at the front of the bus during our exit — a practice many tour guides no longer do but is helpful for photo-taking and tracking.

It was an amazing tour - our guide was super nice and kept us entertained. even as a solo traveled you don’t feel left out. We went by bus which was really comfortable and clean. The different spots we saw were just as described - I liked how we were able to explore on our own: I’d say it’s a great idea if you just want to see a lot of places in a day. I’d recommend it mostly for people who didn’t go to those places and like to explore on their own, or for people who don’t know where to go in Hokkaido - it helps you get a good view of a lot of things. The only thing I’d recommend is to bring water bottles and be ready for the last two stops - they are the hardest because it’s pretty far so you tend to get off the bus sleepy - but we recovered pretty quickly. It was 1000% worth it for the price - it was way more convenient than organising it yourself and you get a guide. I met a lot of nice people including the guide - I’m very happy with my experience.

The destinations on this tour were wonderful, with a nice variety of attractions that made the day interesting. It rained on the day of our tour, though. Vivi was friendly, attentive, and very patient, especially with tourists who came back late. Everything was well-organized, and the timing at each stop was managed smoothly. Overall, it was an enjoyable tour that made for a great experience.

It was a fun tour. The guide is very knowledgeable about the places and also fluent in three languages which was admirable. what i want to suggest is to extend time in some parts of the itinerary if they knew that some of the places we’re visiting do not have many establishments open. We toured on Golden Week and most places in Jozankei were closed, so we were just idle. We would have loved to spend more time at the stone heads and buddha.

I enjoyed all of the stops except for Shiroi Koibito Park. If you are traveling with children, it's a fun spot! Although it was a packed day, the timing felt well paced. I would have enjoyed a bit more time at the shrine in the morning and at the Hill Buddha (because there were sakura to view a bit further out from the statues that I didn't have time to see up close). But such is the nature of group travel!
