Reviews
I am so glad I joined this day tour. Our guide, Sunny, was very passionate and explained the history and sightseeing spots of Hokkaido beautifully in both fluent Chinese and English. Sunny also recommended some amazing local delicacies and souvenirs to buy. Although the weather wasn't perfect (which no one can predict), it was still a lovely journey, and we were given ample time to explore every location. While the fireworks weren't the most beautiful I've ever seen, it was still a worthwhile experience overall.
Recommended day tour especially for non-drivers! Allocation of time for each stops of the itinerary was on-point and the tour guide, Ms Chen made the tour a pleasant one. But…whether you can view Mt Yotei, pray hard for it! Aside from that, all’s great!
Our tour guide, 白さん, was absolutely incredible and made this entire day trip an absolute joy! He speaks both Japanese and Chinese flawlessly, effortlessly switching between languages to ensure everyone felt included. Standing in the wide-open green meadow with a scoop of their incredibly fresh, locally crafted gelato was pure bliss. It was a perfect "little joy" to kick off the afternoon. Shōwa-shinzan: Seeing this active volcanic lava dome up close is awe-inspiring. 💡 Pro-Tip: If time permits during your stop here, don't forget to take the ropeway up Mount Usu! The gondola ride offers breathtaking, panoramic bird's-eye views of the expansive crater lake and the surrounding wilderness. It is a spectacular addition to the trip if you can squeeze it in! The absolute highlight of the day is the Lake Toya Long-Run Fireworks Festival. Watching the vibrant colors explode directly over the dark, crystal-clear water of the lake was an unforgettable, magical experience.
A gd choice despite is a mandarin speaking tour which Guide Tenzo helps to explain important pieces of information in english language with care and patience. show us around each of the places n offering his help to capture beautiful photos. A kind soul.
Robin was so good in translating Chinese and English. I was a bit shy coz I’m the only one who doesn’t speak Chinese, but robin make effort for me to understand everything. This trip was very memorable and was so good. if you wanna visit Hokkaido /sapporo don’t miss this . the fireworks was fantastic ❤️🫶 the view of lake was fascinating. worth the penny 🫶
I was travelling with 2 elderly who are in their 70s. We enjoyed the trip and our tour guide was Mei Fang, who’s a very nice lady and can speak mandarin. This suits my 2 elderly very well! The itinerary was very relaxed and not too rush the pace was just nice and our tour guide shared alot of interesting stories, history and very informative. We luv listening to her and she was very caring and gave us a ride back to hotel. We really appreciated her as I was very glad as my elderly were tired to walk back to our hotel after the trip ended. Though we were a bit disappointed with the typhoon weather, resulting our cruise cancelled. We were refunded the money for the cruise. We hope to join Mei Fang’s tour again for our next trip to Hokkaido.
it was a wonderful experience! our tour guide and driver were really nice! the fireworks was good enough to watch at nighttime. Lake Toya was so beautiful and we also had a great time at Lake Hill Farm.
Chen Mei Fang guide was very good in explaining the history of Hokkaido . instructions was clear and she told us what is look out for , including in Hokkaido. the place is easy to find. the bus was clean and comfortable. the stop is very short. lake hill farm was very picturesque as the weather was very good. the fireworks was very nice. the lake is very beautiful. overall the trip is a very relaxing one. if you don’t do the onsen or the fireworks then you will have a lot of free time
This is a summer-exclusive event where you can watch fireworks over Lake Toya for free in the evening. However, for an enhanced experience, you can pay extra to watch them from a boat. Watching from a boat is recommended because the fireworks are launched from multiple locations, and the boat can follow the fireworks barges. The tour starts at 1 PM, spending the day exploring Mount Yotei and Lake Toya. Dinner by the lake is self-arranged, but options are very limited, so it's advisable to bring your own bento box or dry snacks. After watching the fireworks at 9:15 PM, you'll return to Sapporo around 11 PM. Our guide, Mila, was very responsible, providing clear explanations for each location and sharing a lot of information about Hokkaido, as well as recommending many local specialty foods.
Our tour guide, Sunny, who holds a Ph.D. from Waseda University, has lived in Japan for many years and speaks both English and Chinese exceptionally well. Throughout the bus journey, she provided detailed and enthusiastic explanations of various attractions, their history, and cultural aspects, demonstrating extensive knowledge. Upon arriving at each site, she also recommended popular souvenirs and restaurants, saving us the trouble of searching and potentially making poor choices. This trip gave us a deeper understanding of Hokkaido, Sapporo, and Lake Toya. We hope to return someday to see the snow and go skiing. Thank you again, Sunny! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
