The salon’s location is perfect — very central and easy to find, right in the heart of Dotonbori. I got my hair done by Haruna, and I honestly couldn’t be happier with the result! She’s talented, fast, and fun to talk to. My hair is very long but she knew how to style it. We even used Google Translate to chat, and it worked perfectly — she made the whole experience enjoyable and comfortable. If you’re visiting Osaka and want a great haircut or style, I absolutely recommend booking with Haruna! 💇🏻‍♀️✨

Although the bus ride was a bit long, it was so lucky to see the snow and experience snowfall. Having coffee at the cafe, enjoying the snow scene outside Lake Biwa with the heater on, was very relaxing. Playing with snowboards or just playing in the snow outdoors was also great fun. The price and the tour guide were both reasonable, and the tour guide was also nice. Anyone who wants to go skiing, play in the snow, or see snow scenery can give it a try.

For those thinking of doing this, stop stalling, and purchase now, this is insane. Osaka was amazing by night, and it suited us, we chose the 90min 8pm session and it was unreal. Be sure to have your international driver's permit before travelling, for us, it was though the RACV in Victoria 🇦🇺. Have your passport (physically with you) aswell, without both, you will not be able to participate. The karts themselves are 50cc 2 bangers, and hook along at around 60-65kph, definitely not a toy. Normal road rules apply, you must use the indicators, stay within the lane, and stop at red lights as you would driving a registered vehicle. My son(21yo) and myself had an absolute blast, yep, dressed in costume, and we had 2 teams of 6 karts, which was fun. It was a pretty quiet journey out to Osaka Castle, before heading back through town where the street lights, onlookers and atmosphere really kicked in. 5 stars for the team at Akiba Kart, our Japan highlight for sure, must do 🙌🏻

Experience: First time skiing ⛷️ Challenged myself with two skis, my friend chose a snowboard, but surprisingly the same instructor taught both 🤣 Ski equipment: Absolutely must buy ——— ski gloves 🧤🧤 Helmets and ski goggles can be rented on-site Tour guide: This time our tour guide was Mia, she proactively contacted us beforehand to confirm the meeting location and time, very friendly! Safety: I don't know why the first pair of skis I rented didn't fit, and the second pair I exchanged for were easy to detach from the ski boots (huh). If possible, I still recommend paying special attention when renting... Oh oh oh right! The instructor we were paired with this time taught using a "feeling-based" approach, and because it was a group class, one-on-one explanations weren't possible. Later, the tour guide Mia spent extra time guiding me step-by-step, which helped me finally get the feeling of successfully gliding 🥹🥹🥹🥹 Best MVP of this experience ⭐️⭐️🌟🌟 Scenery: There's a photo spot (?) behind the cabin that looks like a mirror of the sky 🤣

We had an excellent and awesome experience at Mt. Rokko Snow Park with my family. It was extra special because I was able to share this snow experience with my parents and my child—something I’ve seen before but truly wanted them to experience as well. Our tour guide was amazing—very kind, patient, and attentive. She made sure everyone was comfortable, guided us clearly, and looked after us throughout the trip. We felt well taken care of from start to finish. The snow activities were fun, safe, and perfect for families. Everything was well organized, stress-free, and truly memorable. This tour is absolutely worth it, especially if you’re traveling with family. Thank you so much to our dear tour guide, for making our day so special. Highly recommended! ❄️☃️🙏

The city’s most iconic landmark stands as a proud reminder of Japan’s feudal past, even though the current structure is a modern reconstruction housing an engaging museum. Explore Osaka castle park, especially during cherry blossom season.

Tip: The best photo spots are along the outer moat of the Osaka castle area and Nishinomaru Garden, where the castle dramatically contrasts with the modern Osaka skyline, a perfect reflection of Osaka’s warlord heritage and merchant-city roots from the Edo Period.

National Museum of Art, Osaka (NMAO)

Head underground to discover rotating collections and modern art installations, a sleek, contemporary contrast to Osaka Castle’s historical atmosphere.

Shitennoji Temple

Founded in 593 AD, Shitennoji is one of Japan’s oldest officially administered Buddhist temples. Its symmetrical layout, central pagoda, and peaceful gardens make it a serene historical escape within the city.

Osaka Bay Area

One of Osaka’s most historic districts, Tennoji is home to Shitenno-ji Temple, founded over 1,400 years ago and considered one of Japan’s oldest Buddhist temples. Towering above the area is Abeno Harukas, Japan’s tallest skyscraper, featuring an observation deck with breathtaking citywide views.

Northern Osaka impresses with the futuristic Umeda Sky Building, where the Floating Garden Observatory delivers panoramic open-air views of the skyline. Just steps away, Grand Front Osaka brings together stylish shopping, dining, tech stores, and cafés in one modern, vibrant complex.

Osaka's Bright Lights and Exciting Nightlife

Dotonbori & the Glico Man Sign

No visit to Osaka is complete without experiencing Dotonbori’s neon extravaganza. Feast on takoyaki, explore narrow alleyways, and snap a photo with the iconic Glico Man, an Osaka bucket-list moment.

Modern Osaka Views and Family-Friendly Fun
