Reviews summaryFor this trip to Osaka, high-quality transportation is essential. Purchasing the Nankai Electric Railway round-trip ticket (Kansai Airport - Namba/Tengachaya) was incredibly convenient and easy (all seats are reserved, so no need to compete with other passengers for a spot). Plus, choosing the appropriate disembarkation point based on your accommodation, for example, getting off at Tengachaya if you're staying near Tsutenkaku, makes the train journey smooth and the distance quite short (highly recommended). It's also worth mentioning that using the electronic QR code for entry and exit is convenient and eliminates worries about losing your ticket. There's no need to fret about family members or large groups; simply scan one by one for smooth entry and exit. This design perfectly meets travelers' needs and is very thoughtful (electronic tickets are super highly recommended).
When traveling from Kansai Airport to Namba, Osaka, I took the Rapi:t Limited Express train, and it was a particularly memorable experience as it was the first mode of transportation I used upon arriving in Japan. Initially, I considered several options for getting from the airport to the city, but in the end, I felt that choosing the Rapi:t was an excellent decision. The biggest advantage was that the travel time was significantly shorter and more reliable. It only took about 40 minutes from the airport to Namba, allowing me to quickly get to my accommodation even after a tiring flight. The clear schedule made it much easier to start my itinerary. Upon arriving in Japan, immigration procedures can take longer than expected, so not having a long commute afterward was less physically demanding. Another great benefit was that it had reserved seating, so I didn't have to worry about finding a seat or standing. When you're traveling with luggage, guaranteed seating is a bigger advantage than you might think, and the generous seat pitch allowed for a comfortable journey. The interior was also clean and quiet, which was satisfying as it allowed me to briefly recover from the fatigue of the airport. The process of using it was not difficult either. If you booked in advance, you could exchange your voucher on-site and board immediately. The station signage was also well-done, making it easy for first-time users to find their way. I particularly liked that it connected directly from the airport, simplifying the travel route. While the price is higher than regular trains, I felt it was a worthwhile choice considering the time saved and the comfort provided. Maintaining good condition at the beginning of a trip is important, and I believe the Rapi:t helped me achieve that. Overall, I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to start their first journey after arriving in Japan comfortably. If I visit Osaka again, I will definitely use it without hesitation. I believe it's a highly satisfying mode of transportation, especially for those with a lot of luggage or who want to reduce travel stress.
most economy way to Namba via nankai train! great train and on time as well! seat reservation process: really quick 5 minutes prior to take the train and can change x1 time if reach the train station early. just scan the QR code will do! price: affordable
My recent trip on the Nankai Electric Railway's Limited Express Rapi:t from Kansai Airport to the city center was incredibly comfortable and smooth. The train's exterior has a futuristic design, and its blue body is very striking, immediately giving a sense of quality distinct from regular trains. Inside, the seats are spacious, the layout is well-designed, and there's convenient luggage storage, which is very thoughtful for travelers. The ride was stable and quiet, and the journey from Kansai International Airport to the city center was efficient. The direct route, without transfers, saved a lot of time and energy. Overall, it not only enhanced the convenience of the trip but also significantly improved my first impression of Osaka, making it a highly recommended mode of transportation.
very convinient ride to and from the airport. make sure to book it before your trip then just reserve seats after immigration. ride to airport was almost full, make sure to reserve seats earlier. luggage storage going to the airport also gets full, good thing our seats were at the back, we got to use the space there
Quick and easy to use. We can just book this as we land in Kix so it is not highly dependent on flight schedules which might be delayed. It gets us to Namba the quickest. Will Book again on our next trip to Osaka.
A quick and comfortable way to travel to Kansai Airport from Namba! Very convenient to use, you’ll just need to reserve your seat online beforehand and then scan the QR code at ticket gates on the day itself. Seats were comfortable, just wish there was a bit more space to fit luggage in between. I don’t like to put my luggage at the luggage area in front so I usually put mine at my seat. My legs were a bit cramped.
Super convenient mode of transportation, with seamless connections that make getting around effortless. It links directly to the airport and also connects to Osaka’s main stations, so you can move between flights, city centers, and key destinations quickly and without hassle. Highly recommended!

Highly-rated, comfortable, and fast limited express train connecting Kansai Airport (KIX) to Namba, Osaka, praised for its reserved seating, ample luggage space, and quick ~35-minute journey, making it a popular choice for travelers with luggage, though the standard Airport Express is a cheaper, slightly slower alternative for light travelers.
