The redemption process is slightly different from what's described in the app. I ended up asking a staff member for help with the redemption, and I found that their sequence was to first scan the passport, then directly select QR code scan, and then follow the prompts to issue the ticket. ⚠️ After the ticket is issued, you need to reinsert it into the machine to select the date and seat. Because I was worried about not being familiar with the process, I exchanged my ticket a day in advance, which was very wise. This way, I wasn't rushed on the day of travel.

A must-buy. For non-reserved seats, avoid rush hour after 5 PM; there are plenty of empty seats, and you don't need to specifically reserve the last row for large luggage. This trip, we flew Tigerair, departing on Sunday and returning on Thursday. This pass is very convenient and has great value to ride JR pass. We just got our pass tocket from Tokyo station and booked seats to Itoigawa and Nagano for the 1st day to get familiar withbJR train and ticket system. We also reserved the ticket between Tokyo and Osaka on the 2nd and last day, which is the main purpose of this pass. Then, we used this pass to travel between Osaka and Kyoto for 2 days, where we ride every half hour express HARUKA

Fast delivery. We received the exchange couple within few days. We went to Nagoya station to exchange the pass and also reserved our seats. We visited Gero, Shirakawago, Kanazawa, Fukui, Tsuruga. We took JR train, express bus and Shinkansen train. Very worth it

We bought the 7 days rail pass for Kansai Hokuriku area. When we arrive at Kansai Airport, we used this pass to take a train from osaka airport to fukui . Of course you have to change train a few times but it is manageable for us even though we had three big luggage. We also took shinkansen from Fukui to Toyama and shin osaka to okayama. If you travel s lot within these 7 days, this pass is for you.however, if for only one trip, it is not worth it..
