You can only redeem it at a green automatic ticket machine that can scan passports (at Fukui Station, only machine #5 works, and it must be marked with "5489"). ⚠️ You can select Chinese on the machine. The redemption process is slightly different from what's described in the app. I ended up asking a staff member for help with the redemption, and I found that their sequence was to first scan the passport, then directly select QR code scan, and then follow the prompts to issue the ticket. ⚠️ After the ticket is issued, you need to reinsert it into the machine to select the date and seat. Because I was worried about not being familiar with the process, I exchanged my ticket a day in advance, which was very wise. This way, I wasn't rushed on the day of travel.

A must-buy. For non-reserved seats, avoid rush hour after 5 PM; there are plenty of empty seats, and you don't need to specifically reserve the last row for large luggage. This trip, we flew Tigerair, departing on Sunday and returning on Thursday. We exchanged our tickets at Kanazawa Station, but the machines couldn't issue them, so we had to get a number at the counter and wait for some time. For the return trip, with a lot of luggage, you can take the Shinkansen to Komatsu Station and then a taxi for 2200 JPY. If you're going to Fukui, you can transfer from the Shinkansen to the Echizen Railway without buying another ticket. We originally planned to use the Fukui Pass, but there were no seats available for the new sensation XR bus WOW RIDE. You must visit Aeon and Yamada Denki at Shin-Takaoka Station. The water at Kurobe Gorge Railway wasn't blue, which was a bit disappointing. Be sure to make a reservation for Manpuku Yakiniku; it's a must-try.

This pass is very convenient and has great value to ride JR pass. We just got our pass tocket from Tokyo station and booked seats to Itoigawa and Nagano for the 1st day to get familiar withbJR train and ticket system. We also reserved the ticket between Tokyo and Osaka on the 2nd and last day, which is the main purpose of this pass. Then, we used this pass to travel between Osaka and Kyoto for 2 days, where we ride every half hour express HARUKA

Fast delivery. We received the exchange couple within few days. We went to Nagoya station to exchange the pass and also reserved our seats. We visited Gero, Shirakawago, Kanazawa, Fukui, Tsuruga. We took JR train, express bus and Shinkansen train. Very worth it

Clean, comfortable bus with a very relaxed and kind driver. 3x breaks for bathroom visit. And everything on time.
