Thank you Ruly, Putro, and our Ijen guide Eddie for taking such good care of me! This 2D1N trip is highly recommended and perfect for anyone who wants to visit both volcanoes in the minimum amount of time. We had 7 people in our group, so the car wasn't too crowded and the ride was comfortable. Day 1 (Bromo): We didn't have an official guide on this day. The jeep driver simply dropped us off without sharing any details like where to go, what to do, or what time to head back to the jeep. Fortunately, Ruly kept in touch with me via messaging and successfully guided me to the viewpoint, so I didn't experience any trouble. We stayed at the DreamLand Hotel, which was clean, decent, and exactly as pictured. Day 2 (Ijen): The hike is exhausting for those who don't exercise or hike regularly. It's very steep at the beginning up to the volcano rim, and equally steep going down to the crater to see the blue flame. The path is narrow and crowded, so you must be extremely careful. Our guide, Eddie, was fantastic—he showed us an easier path to see the blue flame and personally helped me through the difficult, rocky sections. After the tour, they dropped me off at the port, and Putro kindly helped us with the ferry tickets. there are some extra on-site costs: health certificate IDR100K, drop off to Ketapang Harbor IDR650K, single room surcharge IDR375K (highly recommended for solo female travellers as they don't necessarily arrange same gender roommates for shared options), gear rental e.g walking stick IDR50K each

i had my 2D1N Mount bromo and ijen tour with Ritzy, super amazing tour guide. He is amazingly fluent in english and has the kindest heart, takes care of us throughout the tour and ensured that we are okay the whole time. He even has amazing photo taking skills and took so many amazing pictures for us. He briefed us so well for our trip and made sure we knew what was happening and what we need to prepare as well. Truly and sincerely recommend him and this tour group to others who other interested ! 🥳🥳

The tour guide was excellent, and thanks to Hans for assisting us throughout, ensuring a safe completion of the trip. We all had a great time, and the restaurant where we had lunch was also quite good, with nice views and tasty food. The one-day itinerary was quite strenuous; for someone who doesn't exercise much, it was a bit challenging to complete. However, since we were already there, we had to persevere and finish it. The volcano and waterfall in Surabaya probably aren't easy to visit. It was a very memorable experience.

The tour was really amazing, all the guides very nice. Would like to thank our driver Fauzi who took really good care of us and brought us around safely. Just expect to not get much sleep but that doesn’t matter as you’ll still have a good time. Accomodation very good for few hours of sleep.

Our driver was also professional, punctual, and made every long journey comfortable and safe. We especially appreciated the effort our guide put into taking beautiful photos and videos for us at every destination. Thanks to him, we captured many unforgettable memories with the amazing views of Ijen, Tumpak Sewu, and Mount Bromo. Highly recommended for anyone looking to explore the beauty of East Java with a professional and caring team!

Our trip to Mount Bromo and Tumpak Sewu was incredible. We were blessed with a clear, full view of Bromo at sunrise. Just a heads-up: the hikes are much steeper than expected! The trek down to Tumpak Sewu involves very narrow, high stairs, but the waterfall is worth every bit of effort. Our guide and driver, Sunny, was amazing—patient, friendly, and kept us comfortable the entire time. Regarding accommodation, we were moved from Artha Cottage to Harmoni Guest House. It was a nice substitution, especially with the stunning view of the Semeru volcano. Highly recommended for anyone up for a bit of a climb!

I recently visited the spa with my mum, and I cannot recommend it enough! The staff were incredibly courteous, kind, patient, and attentive, especially when it came to ensuring my mum’s comfort. We had booked treatments in advance, but when we arrived, my mum was unable to climb the stairs to the treatment room. Instead of cancelling our appointment, the staff were so patient in dealing with the situation and provided us with alternative options and kindly rearranged a treatment for her on the ground floor, ensuring she could still enjoy the experience. It was such a thoughtful and reassuring gesture that made all the difference to our visit. The treatment itself was wonderful, relaxing, professional, and thoroughly enjoyable. If you’re looking for a spa with exceptional service and a genuinely compassionate team, this is the place to go. Highly recommended!

The driver will pick you up at the hotel in a five-seater sedan. In mid-April, the temperature at Mount Ijen in the early morning is around 15 degrees Celsius. Wearing a short-sleeved shirt and a light, warm jacket should be sufficient. The mountain road is steep, and you will sweat a lot during the climb. You can rest in stages according to your physical condition. From the entrance at an altitude of 1800 meters, you will climb to the summit at 2300 meters. There may occasionally be a pungent smell of sulfur. Before departure, you can choose whether to rent a gas mask. The sunrise and sea of clouds are very beautiful. However, since the sulfur minerals belong to an energy company, and workers are employed to mine and extinguish fires, you won't be able to see a large area of blue flames. Nevertheless, the burning sulfur is unprecedented and very impressive. It is recommended to arrange this trip separately from Mount Bromo, resting before continuing. A two-day/one-night or three-day/two-night trip involves a significant physical load.
