Experiência de Caminhada na Cratera Ijen saindo de Surabaya e Malang

The driver will pick you up at the hotel in a five-seater sedan. In mid-April, the temperature at Mount Ijen in the early morning is around 15 degrees Celsius. Wearing a short-sleeved shirt and a light, warm jacket should be sufficient. The mountain road is steep, and you will sweat a lot during the climb. You can rest in stages according to your physical condition. From the entrance at an altitude of 1800 meters, you will climb to the summit at 2300 meters. There may occasionally be a pungent smell of sulfur. Before departure, you can choose whether to rent a gas mask. The sunrise and sea of clouds are very beautiful. However, since the sulfur minerals belong to an energy company, and workers are employed to mine and extinguish fires, you won't be able to see a large area of blue flames. Nevertheless, the burning sulfur is unprecedented and very impressive. It is recommended to arrange this trip separately from Mount Bromo, resting before continuing. A two-day/one-night or three-day/two-night trip involves a significant physical load.

Saya sangat senang berkat pemandu Dino dan pengemudi Febri. Mereka menjemput saya dari hotel di Surabaya pukul 6 sore sebelum kami memulai perjalanan darat ke Ijen. Perjalanan memakan waktu 6 jam dan berkat keahlian mengemudi Febri yang luar biasa, kami tiba dengan selamat dan tepat waktu. Pendakian sebenarnya baru dimulai pukul 2 pagi karena itu adalah waktu yang diizinkan bagi pengunjung untuk memasuki area tersebut. Jadi kami semua makan di restoran di sana untuk menghabiskan waktu. Saat itu sangat dingin, tetapi Anda akan berkeringat selama pendakian. Jaket akan berguna setelah Anda mencapai puncak dan menunggu matahari terbit. Jalurnya bagus dan mudah dikelola meskipun Anda harus cukup bugar untuk menyelesaikan pendakian. Masker gas sangat membantu setelah Anda berada di puncak tetapi belerang mengiritasi mata saya sehingga saya melewatkan api biru. Seluruh pengalaman itu menyenangkan. Terima kasih banyak kepada Dino atas panduan dan bantuannya selama pendakian. Kami berhasil mendapatkan tempat yang bagus untuk melihat matahari terbit. Saat itu berkabut sepanjang waktu kami di sana sehingga kami harus menunggu sebentar sebelum danau toska terlihat dari atas. Akhirnya danau itu menampakkan diri tepat sebelum saya mulai turun. Itu sangat indah! Pasti sepadan dengan pendakiannya.

We had a pleasant experience despite the persistent drizzle throughout the night. Our guide Sony was awesome in making sure we were safe and comfortable. Although we didn't get to see the blue flames due to the rain, Sony brought us down to see where the sulfur and smoke came from and we were able to see it up close. It wouldn't have been possible if there wasn't any rain so I might return for a second trip in a better season (May-July). The tour was well organized and planned and everything went smoothly except the jam which caused our journey to be doubled. At least we were able to get a good rest by bringing pillows from the hotel onto the car ride as it's the same car that drives us back too.

Driver IKHSAN drove for 14 hours round trip from Malang to Ijen Crater. The vehicle was comfortable, and I slept well. Despite the long journey, I was tired enough to fall asleep easily. The mountain was slippery due to volcanic ash, but the guide continuously took care of us to ensure a safe climb.

Our trip to Ijen Volcano was absolutely unforgettable, thanks to our amazing driver Rully and our fantastic guide Yudi. Rully was punctual, professional, and always ensured we were comfortable and safe throughout the journey. Yudi was not only knowledgeable about the volcano and its unique blue flame, but also incredibly warm and attentive. He helped us capture stunning photos, shared fascinating stories about the region, and made sure we understood everything by translating when needed. Their combined efforts made this adventure smooth, memorable, and truly special. We couldn’t have asked for a better team — thank you both for such a wonderful experience!

Aunque muchas reseñas decían que nunca esperaron la magnificencia del fuego azul del cráter de Ijen, tuvimos una experiencia maravillosa al escalar Ijen durante más de tres horas de ida y vuelta. El equipo organizador nos equipó con luces y máscaras y nos dio información útil antes de subir. En general, fue agotador pero divertido. ¡Gracias!

The tour contacted us very soon after booking to clarify the timing/date. Our car from Surabaya to Ijen broke down on the highway, but thankfully the driver had safety first in mind. He quickly coordinated a tow truck and a replacement car to ensure we could continue our journey on time. The replacement driver and local tour guide were both nice and welcoming. Although the trip was exhausting, it was rewarding.

The trip organiser is Fun Adventure, the allocated driver, Tori and guide, Warno is helpful and professional. It is a 6 hours drive from Malang to Mount Ijen, throughtout the trip, you could request stop for meal and toilet breaks. The climb down the crater is challenging but fun in many ways, furthermore, the sight of the blue fire is amazing. Definitely recommend the trip to any beginner hikers.

Fun Adventure service is very good and professional. The guide is very experienced and helpful. We enjoyed the trip very much, although it was a bit tough for us seniors.😁
