Although booking two weeks in advance via a lottery system might make one think it would be packed, upon arrival, we found the crowd control to be excellent. There was no pressure from crowded queues, making the sightseeing experience very comfortable. While Fukuoka Tower may not be the tallest building we've ever conquered, standing in this glass tower, the panoramic views are truly on par with any famous landmark. Sunlight glistens on the distant sea, city buildings, and elevated bridges, while nearby, lush green trees, coupled with magnificent cumulonimbus clouds, offer a breathtaking view of the entire city of Fukuoka, which is truly refreshing. Visiting the tallest building in every new city is a travel tradition my child and I have always maintained. This time at Fukuoka Tower, watching him excitedly stride across the giant floor-to-ceiling windows, I felt this habit added another beautiful parent-child memory. If you're planning a trip to Fukuoka, I highly recommend including Fukuoka Tower in your itinerary. Remember to make reservations online in advance (it's a lottery system). Good scenery is worth waiting for, and even more so, worth experiencing in person.

AUG. 13, 2026 ✈️ Let's go to Fukuoka ✖️ Marine World Uminonakamichi Good morning! Today, August 13th, is definitely the crucial turning point of this trip‼️ As early as August 6th, when I saw two typhoons forming, 'White Dolphin' had no impact. Although Typhoon No. 15 'Chan-hom' swept across mainland Japan, it seemed to be heading north, so I initially wasn't concerned. However, the day before departure, I checked the weather, and it looked like the path on August 13th might hit Northern Kyushu. I had already prepared myself for a rainy outing today... But to my surprise! On August 8th, I checked the typhoon path again, and the storm circle had shifted directly north, completely missing Northern Kyushu! Today, we were greeted with a super sunny day! Although the UV rays were so strong I could barely open my eyes, the sun is always better than rain. Long live sunny days! ☀️✨ Our first stop today is Marine World Uminonakamichi, and our luck with the itinerary has been incredible: 🦭 Seal Show: We just made it for the 10:40 AM show, the 'only one' of the day – super lucky! 🐧 Penguin Feeding and Explanation: At 11:50 AM, we saw penguins running wildly and even slipping and falling while chasing food. They were so cute it melted our hearts‼️ 🐬 Dolphin Show: The incredibly powerful dolphin sounds combined with their cool surfing tricks were truly amazing (◐‿◑) However, it was really, really hot today! After much consideration, we decisively decided to skip the vast outdoor Uminonakamichi Park and head straight to Tenjin for some air-conditioned shopping! 🛍️

Secara keseluruhan, perjalanan ini sangat menyenangkan. Sepanjang hari cuaca mendung. Gunung Asp sayangnya berkabut dan kami tidak bisa melihat banyak. Selain itu, saya sudah memesan perjalanan perahu tetapi airnya tinggi dan kami tidak diizinkan melakukan aktivitas berperahu apa pun, oleh karena itu, seluruh biaya akan dikembalikan sesuai dengan yang telah disampaikan kepada kami.

Our tour guide, Sun Peng, was humorous and engaging, making the trip very enjoyable. He explained each location thoroughly and even pointed out great photo spots, showing true professionalism. On this trip, we visited: Takachiho Railway (at the highest point, a young man blows bubbles before the train returns; personally, I don't think it's a must-do), Takachiho Gorge (you can see beautiful scenery from above even without boating, and the miso grilled dango there is delicious), Kamishikimi Kumanoimasu Shrine (a mysterious forest shrine that is incredibly beautiful and definitely worth climbing up to; the water there is drinkable and very tasty), and Kusasenri (where you can see Mount Aso and the 'matcha pudding' landscape). The entire trip was very worthwhile, though it's a pity we didn't have much time at each stop.

This was a lot of fun and you do get to see a lot in one day. The only thing is you have to be mindful about your time. It can be really easy to dwell only on one area of the place you’re visiting and before you know it, your time is almost up and you have to head back to the bus. My guide was Kevin and he was wonderful! Kevin had beautiful energy, was very kind and explained everything to me in English-since I am coming from the United States. I do recommend maybe packing some snacks/food just because you can get caught up sightseeing that you may not have the chance to grab something there and also because food is not provided. Overall my favorite part is how scenic the entire trip is!

これは私たちのお気に入りのリバークルーズ体験の一つでした。私たちは「橋の下」のアクティビティを1回、2回と楽しんだからです。ツアーガイドのケンさんはとても丁寧で親切でした。彼は私たちのツアーグループに対して非常に熱心で面白かったです。彼はドラえもんの歌など、日本の人気曲をたくさん歌ってくれました。ボートの漕ぎは穏やかで、景色は壮大で、静けさを感じさせます。間違いなくまた乗りに行きたいです。

A very good experience, the attractions were beautiful, and we took many lovely photos. Most importantly, our tour leader KC was truly professional. The day before the activity, she messaged us to prepare heat-relief items due to the hot weather. Today, at each attraction, she introduced everything very thoughtfully, even providing photos for our reference and suggesting the best photo spots. She actively helped us take pictures, allowing us to capture many beautiful moments. She also proactively helped us pre-order and pick up meals, saving us queuing time and giving us more time to explore. The service was incredibly thoughtful. Driver Master Yu's driving skills were excellent; because of the hot weather, Master Yu would turn on the air conditioning for us before we got into the car. Highly recommended.

had a beautiful and amazing day visiting Yufuin, Beppu, Kinrin Lake, and Dazaifu! was the only English-speaking guest on the tour, while most of the other guests were part of the Chinese-speaking group. But thanks to our wonderful tour guide, Nana, I never felt left out or like I was on my own. Nana-san translated everything for me in English, took my phone number just in case I got or lost, made sure I had a comfy seat, and constantly checked that I was okay. She was so warm, funny, and genuinely thoughtful. She even reco a great place for ice cream at Honeybees! It honestly felt like I had my own little travel buddy for the day My fave part of the trip was Kinrin Lake. I was honestly amazed by how beautiful it was Beppu was also incredible. we couldn’t go on the Beppu Ropeway because of the weather, Dazaifu was under construction during my visit. Yufuin was probably the least enjoyable part for me because it felt quite touristy and crowded ended up having such a wonderful time.

Highly recommended! Our tour guide, Carson, was very kind and friendly. He proactively helped us take photos and recommended great sights and food. Plus, he speaks English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, which made communication very easy! Carson's time management was excellent. All group members were punctual, and no one was late, making the trip very smooth! Kyushu Zoo... being able to enjoy the air conditioning on the tour bus while watching the animals was a real treat for my parents, haha! Yufuin is definitely worth visiting. Carson's recommendations for eel rice and croquettes were delicious. You absolutely must try them! It's a shame we only had two hours... not quite enough time to explore the entire Yunotsubo Street... I hope the next trip can be scheduled for three hours! I will definitely join again!
