This was a fantastic day trip, and the overall arrangements were excellent! Our tour guide, Kevin Yang, was amazing—lively, fun, and very friendly! He even provided explanations in multiple languages (Chinese, Japanese, and English), which must have been a lot of work for him! At the end, he even gave each of us a small, meaningful souvenir that is said to bring good luck ☺️ He was so thoughtful! The Takachiho Gorge is incredibly beautiful; you absolutely must see it in person 🤩❤️ Boating was also a lot of fun, and I recommend trying it to see even more stunning views. However, the boats aren't very easy to paddle and require some skill. When it's crowded, you also have to navigate around, bump into, and get stuck with other boats, which can take more time 😅 You'll need to manage your time, but since our group departed earlier, we had plenty of time overall and spent a full 2 hours in Takachiho, allowing us to leisurely walk and paddle 🚣 It was a wonderful experience! I recommend everyone come here~ The Takachiho railway was a bit less impressive; the scenery was nice, but it was a bit hot 😅 The gorge scenery is definitely superior 👍 Amano Iwato Shrine ⛩️ was also great, built in a very cool location and worth seeing. Throughout the day, you can absorb a lot of phytoncides ⛰️🌳 It was a wonderful nature experience, and I am very satisfied. I will definitely recommend it to friends and family if I get the chance!!! High value for money 👍 The main highlight was meeting the excellent tour guide, Kevin Yang, who truly enhanced the entire trip~

Our tour guide, COCO, provided truly excellent service this time. We are also very grateful for the many practical suggestions she gave us along the way, which allowed us to adjust our original itinerary with greater flexibility. We especially appreciate the transportation advice given yesterday. We took the tour bus all the way to the last stop, the Takachiho Amaterasu Railway, and after it ended, we chose to take a public bus back to the Takachiho Hotel on our own. For us, as independent travelers, this arrangement was very convenient and saved us a lot of time on transportation and parking. The commentary on the bus along the way was also very detailed. It wasn't just about taking us to the attractions; it truly helped us understand Takachiho better. Additionally, I particularly want to commend the thoughtful service of reminding everyone to prepare towels before boarding the train! What might have seemed like a small reminder initially turned out to be incredibly helpful after experiencing it. The sun exposure along the way was very strong, and our whole family almost entirely relied on wet towels to cool down. This small reminder made the entire experience much more comfortable, and it showed COCO's attentiveness to travelers' needs. We are also very grateful to the platform for providing such an itinerary and booking service, which allowed our whole family to successfully experience the boating and Takachiho Amaterasu Railway activities that are relatively difficult to book independently on official Japanese websites. It also saved us the time of finding parking and arranging transportation if we had driven ourselves. Overall, the itinerary was very smooth, the guide was professional and meticulous, and enough flexibility was provided for independent travelers. For our family, it was a very pleasant and worthwhile Takachiho travel experience. Thank you!

Thanks to our tour guide Nicole, who provided explanations in both Chinese and English throughout the journey, including mythological stories and food recommendations. Although the round trip was long, she thoughtfully arranged stops for restroom breaks. Today, our first stop was a mini-train ride. Despite the scorching sun, the conductor didn't forget to activate the bubble machine for us. The scenery was picturesque, and passing through the tunnel, the temperature dropped slightly, making it well worth the fare! 👍🏻 The second stop was boating, about a twenty-five-minute walk, mostly downhill, so it felt fine. When we boated near the waterfall, it truly felt like entering a fairyland, and the boating experience was very enjoyable and fun! On the way back, we also had the chance to experience the JRT Free shuttle taxi, a perk of this tour, saving us from walking, paying for a taxi, or waiting in a long queue for the free shuttle. So, joining a tour group is a good option! The third stop was Amano Iwato Shrine and Amano Yasukawara, which was also where we had lunch. The food and drinks were delicious, thanks to Nicole's recommendations. Finally, thank you, Nicole, for the omamori (charm) you gave us! ❣️

This was a really cost effective way for our family of 4 to see Takachiho Gorge, which was absolutely worth the trip and a highlight of our holiday. Our tourguide Daisy was organised, friendly, spoke in both English and Chinese and we had a good understanding of where we needed to go and meet at the end of each section of the day. We opted to go on the sightseeing train which took you over a beautiful valley (and was alarmingly high up), and the Takachiho row boats - a treat for the senses. A highly recommended trip. Some sections required a fair bit of walking so sensible shoes are a must, and the coach journey takes a while so a neck pillow and travel snacks were a godsend!

The overall itinerary was quite good, and the attractions were well worth visiting. The weather also cooperated perfectly this time, so the overall experience was excellent. I highly recommend the Takachiho Gorge section; the feeling of rowing on the water and seeing the gorge from below is very unique. If you can choose the time, I think around noon is more suitable, but it gets incredibly hot in summer, so be sure to prepare sunscreen, a hat, and water. This section also involves a lot of walking, so if you are an elder, have bad knees, or generally have difficulty walking, it's advisable to assess your condition first. If you get tired, you can take a shuttle bus back to the parking lot above for about ¥300, which will save a lot of energy. The Takachiho Railway itself is a very special experience, and the scenery along the way is beautiful. However, it can get quite crowded when many people ride together, and it's just a round trip. In terms of experience, I would say it's a "once-in-a-lifetime" kind of trip. Our tour leader, Kevin, was excellent. He provided explanations in both Chinese and English throughout the journey, so communication was not an issue. He was also very attentive to the group members, paying attention to everyone's condition, which made the whole day's trip much more reassuring. Overall, I would recommend it, especially for those visiting Takachiho for the first time and who don't want to deal with transportation themselves. Joining a one-day tour will be much more convenient.

Our tour guide, Yang Meng, was very kind and good. This was my second experience with a Klook one-day tour. There were 37 people in this group, so we took a large tour bus, but the seats were a bit small, though each seat had a cup holder. Boating in Takachiho was really fun, but the boating time slot couldn't be chosen. Boating requires a bit of skill, but if you really can't paddle, the staff on-site will come over in a boat to assist you a little. The boating only lasts for thirty minutes, so it's a bit difficult to paddle all the way to the waterfall, haha! I found the Takachiho train to be quite ordinary; you can take it or not, and it's not cheap at 2300 yen per person. Finally, we also went to Amano Iwato Shrine, which was a walking tour, just strolling around and looking at things. Overall, it was quite interesting, but it takes three hours to get from Fukuoka to Takachiho. We departed at 8 AM, and due to rain and traffic, the tour officially ended at 7:10 PM. Perfect!

Our tour guide was Chinese-speaking, very friendly and professional. She briefed us clearly and guided us throughout the entire journey, making sure we reached our boat experience on time. They also tried their best to purchase the railway tram tickets for us, but unfortunately, due to the public holiday, they were unable to get them. Despite that, they were incredibly thoughtful and even gifted us a mushroom tea bag, some cute little ornaments, and chocolates to bring home. 🥹❤️ Our tour guide was also kind enough to recommend some local food for us to try after the tour, which was really helpful! Overall, we’re very thankful for the wonderful service and thoughtful gestures. It made our Takachiho Gorge experience even more memorable. ✨

The night before departure, I received an email and WhatsApp notification about the meeting time, location, and important information. The next morning, after checking in with the tour leader, we departed on time. The journey was a bit long, so I made sure to seize every opportunity to use the restroom. It rained after we set off, but luckily we were still able to go boating. The tour leader had shown us a video beforehand, but it turned out that shorter people are not very suitable for boating. I couldn't manage to get to the waterfall for a photo, and spent the entire thirty minutes of boating just circling near the boarding point. After the boating experience, we walked back according to the tour leader's instructions. The scenery along the way was beautiful. We took photos while walking back to the parking lot via stairs and a sloped path. This part of the journey was a bit tiring, so remember to stay hydrated. Finally, we took a round trip on the mini train. Since it was raining, it's best to prepare a raincoat. Upon arrival, the conductors on both sides sprayed bubbles with bubble guns 🫧, which was a fun and ceremonial touch. There was an unexpected traffic jam on the way back, but we still returned to Hakata before 7 PM. Waking up early for the activity was tough but very enjoyable. The tour leader always clearly explained the meeting times, and the driver was very polite. I would definitely participate again next time.

it’s a very good experience and easy to get into the place with lots of fun knowledge. the tour guide arranged the timing well and didn’t waste any of the time waiting anything. so I will highly recommend to join the tour if you don’t want to drive yourself from other places.

The place was beautiful and definitely worth the money. Takachiho was an amazing experience and I really enjoyed the scenery. However, the tour guide was a bit unfriendly, and although the tour mentioned English/Chinese support, things were not explained clearly to us which caused some confusion. There was also a misunderstanding about contacting me. But overall, the trip itself was still worth it because the place was so beautiful.😊
