13. August 2026 ✈️ Ab nach Fukuoka ✖️ Marine World Uminonakamichi Guten Morgen! Heute, am 13.08., ist definitiv der entscheidende Wendepunkt dieser Reise ‼️ Schon am 6.8. habe ich gesehen, dass sich Doppel-Taifune gebildet haben. Der erste hatte keine Auswirkungen, und der 15. Taifun "Chan-hom" fegte zwar über das japanische Hauptland hinweg, schien aber nach Norden abzuziehen, was zunächst unbedenklich schien. Doch am Tag vor der Abreise zeigte der Wetterbericht, dass die Bahn am 13.08. wohl Nordkyushu streifen würde, weshalb ich mich innerlich bereits auf einen regnerischen Ausflug eingestellt hatte…… Und dann das! Als ich am 12.08. noch einmal den Taifunpfad überprüfte, hatte sich das Sturmfetzgebiet nach Norden verschoben und Nordkyushu überhaupt nicht berührt! Heute wurden wir von einem strahlenden blauen Himmel begrüßt! Auch wenn die UV-Strahlung so stark war, dass man kaum die Augen öffnen konnte, ist Sonnenschein immer noch besser als Regen – Sonnenschein ist einfach großartig! ☀️✨ Unsere erste Station heute war das Marine World Uminonakamichi Aquarium, und unser Glück war einfach unglaublich: 🦭 Robben-Show: Wir haben genau die "einzige" tägliche Vorstellung um 10:40 Uhr erwischt, ein riesiges Glück! 🐧 Pinguinfütterung mit Erklärungen: Um 11:50 Uhr sahen wir, wie Pinguine dem Futter hinterherjagten, dabei stolperten und ausrutschten – einfach zum Dahinschmelzen süß ‼️ 🐬 Delfinshow: Umwerfende Delfinlaute kombiniert mit coolen Surfeinlagen, wirklich absolut beeindruckend (◐‿◑) Aber es ist heute einfach viel, viel zu heiß! Nach reiflicher Überlegung haben wir beschlossen, den riesigen, weitläufigen Außenbereich des Uminonakamichi-Parks schweren Herzens sausen zu lassen und direkt nach Tenjin zu fahren, um uns bei Klimaanlagentourismus dem Shopping hinzugeben 🛍️

This time, bringing the kids to Fukuoka, we also visited the Marine World Uminonakamichi. To be honest, this is neither the largest nor the most luxurious aquarium we've been to, and some of the facilities show a bit of age. However, after walking through it, we found that the overall flow design is very rational, the interior is clean and tidy, and the display of marine life is quite rich. Whether it is the breathtaking ocean view during the outdoor dolphin show, or the indoor jellyfish pavilion with its interplay of light and shadow and the exhibition of giant fish, you can feel everywhere that the locals are running this place with care, and the experience exceeded our expectations. In addition, I especially want to share a great transportation tip for independent travel: I strongly recommend taking a boat from the pier at the foot of the Fukuoka Tower directly to the Uminonakamichi Pier! This is definitely the best option for combining a day trip to the Fukuoka Tower and the Marine World. Taking a boat while enjoying the sea breeze not only saves energy on transfers, but also makes the day's itinerary very smooth. The unique experience of water transportation, paired with the children's excited cheers when the dolphins jumped, left us with very deep family memories of our trip to Fukuoka. If you are also planning to bring your kids to Fukuoka, this land-and-water combined one-day itinerary is truly worth copying.

Compared to the prices in Korea, I am extremely satisfied~ We took the ferry from Momochi and it left wonderful memories for my childㅠㅠ There were so many fascinating jellyfish, so we looked around in awe haha. Please, do not sit in the front row for the dolphin show!! I recommend bringing a rain poncho... There were no seats left at all, so thinking 'how much could it splash?', we sat in the very front row and almost cursed at the dolphins hahaha. You will get completely soaked, on par with a water parkㅠㅠ The child loved it so much❤️

Fukuoka'da iseniz kesinlikle tavsiye ederim. Burayı kaçırmamalısınız. Yaklaşık yarım saatlik bir tren yolculuğuyla akvaryum, açık hayvanat bahçesi ve bisiklet sürmek için endişesiz bir park bulabileceğiniz aileler için bir cennete ulaşırsınız. Yunus ve fok gösterileri muhteşem. Park, çiçekler ve açık oyun alanlarıyla daha da güzel. Beklentilerimizin üzerindeydi. Keşke burada daha fazla zaman geçirebilseydik.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A fantastic spot for letting kids burn off energy, enjoyable for both adults and children! Taking my family to Marine World Uminonakamichi in Fukuoka this time was a wonderful surprise! The entire aquarium is thoughtfully designed with plenty of spacious areas, making it very comfortable to walk around even with a stroller. The absolute highlight is the ocean-facing dolphin and sea lion show, set against a backdrop as breathtaking as a painting! The children clapped and were super excited. Additionally, the "Wonderland" on the 1st floor allows kids to feed seals by hand, offering great interactivity—they didn't want to leave. There is also an adorable sea otter feeding session in the museum, which was truly heartwarming. The restaurant inside lets you watch dolphins swim while you eat, and the meals feature cute penguin shapes! Scoring full marks for both educational and entertainment value, this is definitely a must-visit first stop for any family trip to Fukuoka!

I love aquariums and have visited all of them in Korea, even the one in Jeju Island, but this one was incomparably impressive! The dolphin show and the penguins outside were especially adorable, so I watched them for a long time! Also, I'm a hardcore fan of Nintendo's Animal Crossing, and it felt like the museum from the game was moved here as-is, which deeply touched me 🥹 The dolphin show seems to be held at 11:00, 1:30 PM, and in the afternoon as well—I actually watched it twice, at 11:00 and 1:30 PM! I thought watching the exact same show twice might be boring, but each trainer had slightly different routines, so I was amazed all over again! I wish I had more time to watch the 4:00 show too, which is a pity. Also, the line at the restaurant was too long so I couldn't eat there, but outside food is allowed, so if you plan to stay a long time, bring a lunchbox or snacks!

素晴らしい水族館で、イルカ・アシカショーやペンギンショーを含めて2.5～3時間で見て回れます。500円でアシカに餌をあげたり、芝生の上を間近でペンギンが歩き回るのを見たりする素晴らしい体験ができます。

It was so good, when we went, there were a few people. Maybe we were lucky to avoid the crowds and had a chill walk around the aquarium. There was a seal performance, it was so cute to see them that close. You can also feed them, if you buy food next to their place. It has become one of our favourite aquarium in Japan.
