The footage was also spectacular; only when rewatching the video did I truly realize I had accomplished something I once thought was out of reach. When my feet touched the ground again, the sense of accomplishment and emotion was something I will remember for a lifetime. I sincerely recommend that anyone wanting to try it book early. Prices are usually more favorable, and you'll have more flexibility with timing. Slots on good weather days are highly sought after, so the earlier you arrange it, the more at ease you'll be. It was a great experience for my first time there. The sights, smells, and sounds were an eye-opener to what a thermal wonderland truly is. It has a rich history, and we had a wonderful host that morning to welcome us to the show. On-site parking was free; do head there early as it starts around 10:30 AM.

The registration process was smooth, as was boarding and disembarking. Watching the engine room was exciting. The farm tour and the tour guide were very informative. What I was most excited about and enjoyed the most was feeding the animals, shearing the sheep, and watching Kim (the dog) herd the sheep. The tea (coffee, juice) and light snack were also sufficient and tasted good. Overall, the experience was exemplary. Great for solo travelers, couples, and families with kids.

The provided equipment was quite comprehensive, the ground crew explained everything in great detail, and the helicopter was very new. Once we reached the glacier, our hiking guide, Hunter, was humorous and engaging, giving us a complete and enjoyable experience. Thank you to the entire team for their efforts!

Great experience, my first time to see the glowworm in its natural habitat. The ferry from RealNZ to Cavern House where the cave is, is also exciting with a chance to glaze the stats and recalls what I learnt in the Stargazing Tour in Twizel!

The kiwi, unique to New Zealand, can only be seen in specific conservation areas, and this is one of the best locations. Since kiwis are nocturnal, the KIWI HOUSE is dark and photography is not allowed, so you won't be able to capture any images. It's recommended to arrange both the KIWI HOUSE experience and the animal show at the same time; 1-2 hours in between is enough to see the entire park, and then enjoy a local honey drink.

I had such a great time!!!!!!!! I didn't realize I'd get to experience calves and lambs up close like this, haha. The direct interaction time was so much fun. It's really enjoyable if you keep in mind that there might be some unexpected situations since you're with the sheep without any restrictions. This was my first time joining a stargazing tour, and it was even cheaper than the official website. The service was excellent; you don't need to worry about not having warm enough clothes, as they provide one-piece down jackets. It seemed like they had four or five sizes! The only downside was that the night we attended was the fifteenth day of the first lunar month, which was a full moon. This affected the stargazing, making it a bit different from what I had imagined. For the "Dark Sky Project," they pick you up from the foot of the mountain and drive you to the observatory's protected area. Then, a specialist explains various astronomical phenomena, and they'll ask if anyone has questions about astronomy. If you're not very familiar with the twelve planets and some professional astronomical English terms, it might be a bit challenging to understand. However, they do offer earlier sessions in Chinese. They also use the observatory's super-large astronomical telescope for stargazing, which was my first time experiencing it, and I found it very magical and a rare opportunity! But if you encounter dates near the first or fifteenth day of the lunar month (full moon), I suggest not attending, as you might be quite disappointed.
