My instructor, Sam, was thoughtful, explained things clearly, and made learning fun – a perfect coach! 🫵🏻🫶🏻 ⸻ The whole process is roughly as follows: Day before · First, go to the Queenstown city store to pick up your equipment. Then, take the equipment back to your accommodation and bring it to the ski field/shuttle yourself the next day. When picking up equipment, staff will provide two hard cards (passes). · It's recommended to pick up in the city, otherwise, you'll have to queue for a long time at the ski field. ⸻ 📌 If you've added a city-ski field shuttle service: · When placing your order, choose your shuttle pick-up location. I chose Crowne Plaza. When selecting the location, the Klook system will show the departure time. For my location, it was 7:40 AM. It's always recommended to arrive 10-20 minutes early. · When boarding, the driver will confirm your reservation name and help place your skis/poles in the luggage compartment. You'll take your ski boots and other personal belongings onto the bus yourself. · The bus will first stop at a parking lot halfway up the mountain to pick up other tourists who drove up themselves. After the bus is full, it will continue to the ski field, arriving around 9:30 AM. · The driver will explain on the bus that you'll take the same bus back. It's recommended to take a photo or note down the license plate number, as it will be much more convenient for the return journey. ⸻ If you lose the hard card you received the day before: · After arriving at the ski field, go up the stairs, and the lobby is on your left. There are two self-service machines to the right of the lobby entrance. · Use the barcode in the attachment of the email sent by the official ski resort (not Klook's email) to scan and re-receive a soft card pass. ⸻ Need to change equipment: · If your ski boots, skis, or other equipment are not the right size, you need to take your pass to the Rentals area and queue to exchange them. · Rentals is to the right of the ticket office in the lobby. Just queue there. ⸻ Class process: · Classes start at 10:30 AM. · After getting your equipment on, follow the crowd straight ahead, pass through the red archway, and look for the orange flag on your left. Tell the staff you are attending the one-day beginner course, and they will help with group assignments. First lesson: · Mainly learn basic techniques: putting on/taking off skis, finding your dominant foot, braking, S-turns, and how to ride the magic carpet. · Afterwards, you'll first practice on a small gentle slope, then do actual skiing on a small hill. Lunchtime: · Just leave your equipment on the small slope next to the class location. · Lunchtime is from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM. · Return to the meeting point promptly at 1:45 PM to continue the lesson. Second lesson: · If the overall condition of the entire group of students is good: · The instructor will usually take everyone for 1-2 runs on the small slope to warm up and check their condition. · Then, take the chairlift to the top of the mountain, and the instructor will lead you down the easiest beginner trail for about 2 runs. Class ends at 3:45 PM. ⸻ Return shuttle (for those who purchased round-trip transfer): · The shuttle bus departs at 4:15 PM. · Many people will queue near the ticket office to board the bus, but you don't need to join that queue. · Walk towards the stairs at the entrance, turn right, and walk straight. Many buses will be parked there. Find the same bus you took in the morning (which is why it was suggested to note the license plate earlier). · After the driver confirms your reservation name, you can board the bus, and then it will return directly to Queenstown city.

The resort opened one day later than our original booking due to weather, but we were informed promptly and still managed to ski/snowboard. As it was only the first day and snowfall wasn’t heavy yet, not all runs were open and only the practice slope was available, which was a bit of a pity. Overall, it was still worth the money and I would recommend it!

This skydiving experience truly deserves a perfect score, without reservation. From the moment I boarded the small plane, my heart raced. Looking down at the lakes and mountains through the window, the entire landscape unfolded like a three-dimensional map beneath my feet. The lake shimmered with blue-green light in the sun, and the mountains stretched layer upon layer to the horizon. At that moment, I already felt it was worth every penny. When the cabin door opened and the cold wind rushed in, my mind went almost blank. The instant I tumbled out, the world suddenly became quiet, leaving only the sound of the wind and the exhilarating sensation of rapid descent. Those dozens of seconds of freefall completely defied imagination—it wasn't fear, but an extremely pure release. The blue sky was right before my eyes, and the lake and town rapidly grew larger beneath me. That shock is truly indescribable. After the parachute opened, the scene suddenly became gentle. Sunlight streamed onto my face, distant snow-capped mountains were clearly visible, and the lake lay quietly like a mirror between the valleys. To be able to skydive in such weather, I truly have to thank the heavens for giving me an almost perfect blue sky. Stable winds, clear views, and excellent visibility made this experience one of the most beautiful entries on my life's bucket list. The instructor was very professional, providing a full sense of security throughout, from equipment checks to in-air guidance. The footage was also spectacular; only when rewatching the video did I truly realize I had accomplished something I once thought was out of reach. This was more than just an extreme activity; it was an experience of self-dialogue. When my feet touched the ground again, the sense of accomplishment and emotion was something I will remember for a lifetime. I sincerely recommend that anyone wanting to try it book early. Prices are usually more favorable, and you'll have more flexibility with timing. Slots on good weather days are highly sought after, so the earlier you arrange it, the more at ease you'll be. I have to say, my first experience with live-fire shooting was really thrilling. It's suitable for all ages and genders — we all had a great time.

What an incredible experience. Scott is such a fantastic guide, very knowledgeable and cheerful. The hike was around 1.5 hours with lots of time stopping for pictures, so it was not as physically demanding as expected. The glacier is truly mesmerizing, it is one of the best memories I have made in NZ!

May 31st was a rainy day, but thankfully we had this activity booked because the sled ride wasn't operating. Two staff members took turns assisting us on all four ziplines. It was a very enjoyable experience, though it really depends on whether you're brave enough to try different moves. You can glide smoothly through the trees, or you can let go and confidently hang upside down for photos. The staff were very professional and would introduce the scenery at appropriate times during each section. At the end, you can choose to walk back to the check-in area (about a 15-20 minute walk) or have a car pick you up. It's a completely effortless experience! 👍

This activity definitely is the best experience in my New Zealand trip! highly recommend u guys go to play! There was a shuttle to drive you to the place and back to the town! it is very convenient!

The service center is right in the heart of Queenstown, and the staff are very friendly. After arriving at the shuttle drop-off, someone will explain everything, and then you'll head to the bridge to prepare. If you're nearsighted, you'll need to wear contact lenses as prescription goggles are not provided on-site. The fee includes photos, with many different angles, and a video. The day after your experience, you'll receive an email with links to your video and photos. Oh, and they also give you a free souvenir T-shirt on-site!
