I had an amazing experience on the Milford Sound Day Tour from Queenstown. The journey itself was just as memorable as the destination. Our driver was friendly, knowledgeable, and shared interesting facts about the region, making the long drive feel enjoyable. We made several scenic stops along the way, giving us plenty of opportunities to take photos of beautiful mountains, waterfalls, rivers, and valleys. Milford Sound was absolutely breathtaking. The cruise was well organized, comfortable, and offered incredible views from every angle. Seeing the towering cliffs, lush rainforest, and cascading waterfalls up close was unforgettable. We were also lucky enough to spot wildlife, including seals and several birds, which made the experience even more special.

Wonderful tour experience! We had Paulie as our bus driver and guide and he was super friendly and knowledgeable about the whole route, sharing fun facts about the different stops and sights along the way + the bus ride was smooth and really comfortable. The cruise experience was amazing too, we managed to catch a bunch of different sights as it had rained prior and it was overall a really magical and beautiful experience. The cruise also had a cafe with some food & drinks for lunch and the viewing decks were super nice to see the scenery from. Overall great experience, would definitely join again!

From Queenstown to Milford Sound, the journey takes about 6 hours one way, with brief stops in Te Anau and a few small scenic spots for everyone to get off, take photos, and use the restroom. The fjord landscape is magnificent and well worth the trip.

Real NZ's buses are very comfortable, and the driver was extremely friendly, making stops along the way so we could take plenty of photos. It was an unforgettable journey. Milford Sound is stunning, the waterfalls are magnificent, and we were even lucky enough to spot some dolphins. The Real NZ boat was comfortable, and the onboard staff were engaging and provided experienced commentary about Milford Sound. The only slight disappointment was that the weather was too nice on the day of our visit; we heard that rainy days reveal even more waterfalls.

Amazing tour. Ian was a great tour guide, very knowledgeable and entertaining throughout the whole drive to the ferry. A must do if you're travelling to Milford Sound. The captain of the ferry was also very entertaining, thank you RealNZ team for such an amazing experience. Highly recommend this tour and will be booking future experiences with RealNZ.

Das lange Busfahren lohnt sich auf jeden Fall mit ein paar Zwischenstopps für schnelle Fotogelegenheiten. Milford ist wahrlich majestätisch. Ein großes Plus war, dass ich dank des sehr sachkundigen Fahrers, der gleichzeitig fahren und erzählen kann, einige geschichtliche Hintergründe und Wissenswertes erfahren habe, einfach klasse!

I departed from Lake Te Anau (about a 2.5-hour drive), and self-drivers can park near the lake or the public restrooms. Riding in a tour bus with oversized panoramic glass windows (even the ceiling is transparent), the scenery along Fiordland National Park is enchanting, and there are scheduled stops for restroom breaks. There might be seat chargers available on the bus. Upon arriving at Milford Sound, you will see the RealNZ boat, which probably accommodates over 50 passengers. The scenery is stunning, and the captain will take everyone to spot dolphins and waterfalls, with the round-trip cruise lasting about 2 hours. It is recommended to bring windproof and waterproof jackets and shoes, as well as your own snacks. This is definitely a must-visit destination in New Zealand!

El viaje a Milford Sound fue estupendo. Pero quiero centrarme en nuestro conductor, Peanut. Muy paciente, tiene una voz muy calmada al hablar. Explica las cosas con todo detalle. No se altera aunque otros pasajeros sean molestos y siempre está muy atento. La conducción es muy segura tanto en la ida como en la vuelta de Milford Sound.

Das war eine unvergessliche und lohnende Erfahrung! Besonders der Fahrer war sehr nett, und ich habe das Radio im Auto geliebt – es liefen so viele vertraute und klassische Lieder, bei denen man mitsingen konnte. Außerdem hatten wir großes Glück mit dem bewölkten und regnerischen Wetter, sodass wir neben den großen Wasserfällen auch zahlreiche kleine sehen konnten.

Although the drive was quite long, it was much more comfortable than driving ourselves. The scenery along the way was beautiful, and the driver also made stops so everyone could get out and take photos. The fjords are truly worth a visit, absolutely magnificent.
