Amazing tour. Ian was a great tour guide, very knowledgeable and entertaining throughout the whole drive to the ferry. A must do if you're travelling to Milford Sound. The captain of the ferry was also very entertaining, thank you RealNZ team for such an amazing experience. Highly recommend this tour and will be booking future experiences with RealNZ.

Wonderful tour experience! We had Paulie as our bus driver and guide and he was super friendly and knowledgeable about the whole route, sharing fun facts about the different stops and sights along the way + the bus ride was smooth and really comfortable. The cruise experience was amazing too, we managed to catch a bunch of different sights as it had rained prior and it was overall a really magical and beautiful experience. The cruise also had a cafe with some food & drinks for lunch and the viewing decks were super nice to see the scenery from. Overall great experience, would definitely join again!

I prayed for rain and boy did I get what I prayed for. The mountains around Fiordland were covered in temporary waterfalls that only appear when it rains for 4+ hours. They call them Cascades and it was magical. The cruise around Milford was exciting and well worth getting drenched in the rain. Worth it.

Beachten Sie, dass es für andere eine zu lange Fahrt sein kann, seien Sie also auf eine lange Reise nach Milford Sound und zurück nach Queenstown vorbereitet.

The tour was nicely planned with time for a quick bite / toilet break / photo stops along the way to make the long journey to Milford Sound comfortable. Our driver Ryan drove very professionally (it was a huge bus), making the journey really comfortable (helps too that he had a good playlist)! Would highly recommend booking this tour.

The viewpoint was truly stunning and incredible. On that sunny day, there was a waterfall that was so beautiful; it was the main attraction. In my opinion, if it had been a rainy day, it might have been even more beautiful, as the water would have been cascading down the mountains.

This is a must-do tour if you're visiting Queenstown or Te Anau!! Milford Sound is absolutely stunning, and the guide is incredibly kind 🥹. The weather was good when I went, which made it even more beautiful! Actually, I had only planned to hike Mount Cook and hadn't booked Milford Sound, but the weather was bad at Mount Cook, so I booked this tour the day before and went! It was so good! The travel agency is quite large, so booking was easy, and the guide was especially great! Highly recommended! Brandon, You are awesome!!👍👍

RealNZ's buses are different from those of other companies. They have large windows on both sides, and the front seats also have a large glass roof. There's a pick-up service at a bus stop near the hotel at 7 AM, followed by an approximately 2-hour drive to Te Anau, where you'll have about 45 minutes to rest/eat breakfast. Then, it's another approximately 3-hour drive, arriving at Milford Sound around 12:30 PM. During the journey, the driver (who also acts as a guide) will introduce the scenery along the way, and stop for about 5-10 minutes at several photo spots. After boarding the boat at Milford Sound, you'll travel along the fiord to St Anne Point and then return to the starting point, stopping in front of a large waterfall along the way. Paid food and beverages are available on board. For the return journey, I opted to purchase an additional small plane flight from Milford Sound back to Queenstown through RealNZ. (If conditions permit, you can buy tickets on the spot, but small planes are highly dependent on weather.) The driver mentioned that the scenery is even more stunning on a rainy day. A must-do itinerary for the South Island! ☺️

The bus was comfortable, and the driver/guide was friendly and humorous. The views along the way were beautiful, and the driver let us off at a couple of places for photos, quick breaks, and to stretch our legs. We were thankful we decided to leave our rented car in Queenstown and booked this tour because it really seemed like a super tiring drive. The 2-hour cruise itself was nice; the waterfall was majestic, as was the rest of New Zealand.
