It is a must do hiking at the Fox Glaciers. Less cancellations during winter as compared to summer. It rained halfway through but they let us complete the whole journey. Get to taste the glacier water and eat the ice. Amazing experience!

If you're planning to experience several famous New Zealand tourist attractions and activities, purchasing a New Zealand Pass can save you money. Popular options include Hobbiton Movie Set, Milford Sound, jet boating, Rotorua hot springs, and glowworm caves, all of which can be bundled with a pass. I highly recommend three cruises for families: the whale watching cruise in Kaikoura, the Milford Sound cruise, and the cruise to Walter Peak by steamship for a buffet. Also, for those who love thrilling activities, I recommend the exhilarating Shotover Jet.

This was a great trip, especially if you come from a country with little snow and ice! I've done helicopter hikes at both Fox and Franz Josef, and I can confirm that the experiences are very similar. Our guide at Franz Josef was Kalie, and she did an excellent job. Flying onto the glacier was a wonderful experience, and the views from up there were perfect for admiring the local scenery. Hiking and exploring the glacier was a lot of fun, and the conditions are constantly changing.

Jet boat: Very exciting, with commentary on the scenery along the way. A great experience. Milford Sound: The waterfalls are stunning, and we saw penguins and seals. Allow extra time for driving as some sections of the road are under maintenance. Also, after parking, it's a 10-15 minute walk to the pier. There's basically no signal after the car park, so it's best to screenshot your tickets/QR codes in advance. Fox Glacier Hike: We had good weather, so we were able to take off and complete the entire glacier experience, seeing various glacier features.

I enjoyed my South Island New Zealand trip affordably with the Klook Pass. I bundled Milford Sound, Kaikoura Whale Watching Cruise, and Queenstown Shotover Jet with the pass, and it was great because it was cheaper than buying them individually. Milford Sound is a must-do tour if you're traveling to New Zealand. The scenery on the way is beautiful, and the soundscape enjoyed on the cruise is unforgettable. Kaikoura Whale Watching had some rough waves, but it was amazing to see whales in person. The dolphins following along were also cute. Shotover Jet was incredibly fun. I rode it longer than I expected, and the thrill of the 360-degree spins and passing through the canyons is something I'll never forget.

I feel like having a Klook Pass is not guaranteed savings. Do your own due diligence and some calculations before booking. In our case, the Klook Pass was cheaper, and I have to say that the Klook Pass also makes booking simpler, as with one pass I can book multiple activities. The Klook Pass New Zealand also has add-ons like the Fox Glacier hike. There were no problems when redeeming the individual tickets; it was easy and simple. All the operators were friendly. My group went for the Milford Sound small boat cruise and Te Anau Glowworm Caves. I highly recommend those two activities. We had a great time with the help of the Klook Pass simplifying everything.
