It was a really nice experience and the guide is really friendly, knowledgeable, and humorous :) The bus transportation was on time, we weren’t rushed at every landmark, and we took lots of pictures!

A wonderful experience, glad we followed a day tour instead of self drive so we could admire the view better, be relaxed and learn more about each of the pit stops (eg. monkey creek). Loved the cruise ride had great weather and views! the food on the cruise was good too! We went for the last tour which set off at 8am from Crowne Plaza and boarded the last cruise out at 2.30pm. It’ll be good to have some light snacks else lunch will be served quite late. We had the falafel (vegan) wrap which was served cold and still yummy while the chicken pie was served warm! both options were yummy!

The Milford Sound Day Tour with Cruise was an unforgettable experience and well worth the early start. The scenic drive to Milford Sound was breathtaking, with plenty of photo stops along the way to capture waterfalls, mountains, and mirror-like lakes. The commentary from the driver/guide added depth to the journey, sharing fascinating stories and facts about the region. The cruise itself was simply stunning. Surrounded by towering cliffs, lush greenery, and cascading waterfalls, it felt like stepping into a postcard. We were lucky to spot wildlife, including seals and birds, which made the trip even more special. The boat was comfortable with spacious viewing decks, and complimentary tea and coffee were a nice touch. Overall, it is a must-do experience for anyone visiting New Zealand’s South Island—nature at its most majestic.

The journey from Queenstown to Te Anau to Milford is quite a long drive, hence joining this tour is very recommendable. We were quite surprised that they will provide you food during the Milford Sound cruise, which includes pie, chips, apples, snack bar, etc. and is very filling, so no need to buy your lunch. The bus driver will also stop at some famous photo locations. Initially, I thought the cost was a bit pricey, but experiencing how far it is and knowing the price of the Milford cruise alone, I would say this package is worth it!

Initially, I thought the one-day tour fee was quite high, but after a full day's experience, I can understand its value. The driver and guide, Joe, was very friendly (apologies if his name wasn't Joe, my English listening isn't great), efficient, and a skilled driver, providing commentary and guidance along the way. The bus had a restroom, and multiple rest stops were arranged every 1-2 hours for passengers to use the facilities. During breaks, the driver would check the restrooms; coincidentally, someone had motion sickness and vomited, leaving an odor in the restroom. The driver noticed this and sprayed air freshener in the restroom. It was tough for the driver to drive 8-9 hours round trip (over 570 kilometers) in a day. The itinerary was well-planned: we boarded in Queenstown, drove 2 hours to Te Anau for a 30-minute break and breakfast (at our own expense), then enjoyed the scenic drive to the Milford Sound cruise terminal. We boarded the boat at 2:30 PM. The boat had a free coffee machine where you could get coffee, hot tea, and hot chocolate. The meals included chicken and mushroom pie/vegetable pie, biscuits, potato chips, and apples. Although waiting for the pie to heat up took almost an hour, which was a bit long and made me a little hungry, it didn't detract from the overall experience. We saw many waterfalls along the way, and the captain's skill was excellent, allowing us to get very close to the waterfalls, which were spectacular up close. Unfortunately, the weather was poor that day, with rain and fog, making it difficult to see the full grandeur of the fjord. Overall, it was a great experience.

We had a wonderful day going to Milford Sound. Our tour guide was wonderful. He knew the area well. Everything was very professional and well organized. Our tour guide was clear and easy to understand. We enjoyed each part of this tour. The boat guides were wonderful and shared interesting facts about Milford Sound from the water. We had a great day. Highly recommended! The scenery from the bus on the way there and back is also incredibly beautiful. It would be a shame to miss it by sleeping, so make sure to enjoy it. The scenery, especially as you approach Milford Sound, is absolutely stunning. Experience the vastness of nature! :) There's a rest stop in Te Anau, the halfway point, where you can check your meal options. You can choose between chicken and vegetables. The chicken is a meat pie, and the vegetables are like a burrito, with vegetables wrapped in a tortilla. Both are delicious! (I tried to switch to the vegetable option on the ferry because it looked good, but they said it wasn't possible. Apparently, they prepare the exact number of meals requested in advance.) The ferry was also very large and comfortable. It has three decks, so make sure to go up to the top! Coffee and various types of tea are provided, so feel free to try different kinds (Americano, hot chocolate, flat white, mocha, etc.). The morning group apparently saw dolphins, but we didn't see any, though we saw plenty of seals, haha.

It's definitely worth it. We book from Queenstown to Milford Sound, and we also enjoy many places around Te Anau. However, I just feel like some of the places that we get off to take a quick pictures were not too special. Especially when there is no specific explanation why we get off there. Nevertheless, it was very well organized tour and I enjoy the trip from the beginning until finished. Btw, we got a very delicious pie for the picnic lunch package that included in the tour. 🤤
