This was by far the best Klook tour I’ve ever been on! My husband and I absolutely loved our guide, Mr. Joe. He was incredibly kind and provided clear, detailed information about the itinerary, meeting point, and drop-off location. We especially appreciated how he shared interesting history about Osaka, Kyoto, and Nara along the way. His English was very clear, which made communication easy and enjoyable. We were also lucky enough to ride Cabin No. 5 on the Sagano Romantic Train, and we didn’t miss out on the Hozugawa River boat rafting experience either. It was truly a memorable day! Okani Mr Joe! Hope we meet again!

If you're taking the Sagano Romantic Train and then the Hozugawa River Boat Ride, it's best to allow an hour and a half in between, for example, taking the 11:00 AM train and the 12:30 PM boat. After getting off the train, there will be signs guiding you through a tunnel to the bus stop. The bus will make a brief stop and then go directly to the Hozugawa building. There's a small shop where you can buy snacks and drinks; it's essential to buy something to drink, as the boat shop won't appear for about an hour and a half after you board. The boatman on our trip was very entertaining, likely a veteran, and interacted well with the passengers. When approaching rapids, he would playfully warn passengers about a small splash; you won't get completely soaked, as there are tarps available. Throughout the journey, the boatman used a mix of Japanese and short English phrases, and also used gestures to point out the local wildlife. The boat ride is spectacular and highly recommended.

Walking from JR Saga-Arashiyama Station, luckily the weather in April wasn't too hot, and there was a pleasant breeze the whole way. The onsen had two attendants, one male and one female. Although I don't speak Japanese, I understood what they were saying, so communication was not difficult.

This was one of our favorite experiences in Arashiyama. Watching the molten metal being poured into the mold was really exciting, and making our own shuriken was much more fun than we expected. The staff were friendly, patient, and explained everything in English, so we never felt lost. Taking home something we made ourselves made the experience even more special. If you're looking for a unique ninja experience in Kyoto, I highly recommend this place.

Great, affordable way to visit many temples in the one day. You can depart from kyoto or osaka and on the tour, you'll receive information from a guide on the bus overviews where you're going next, but then you're free to explore. Perfect way to see the main sites without having to so many trains all over the city. The guide kindly provided the option to eat at a restaurant as a group and most meals were 2000 yen each, or more for fancier options like beef. This worked well as we paid him on the bus and the food was delicious, pre-ordered and brought out on our arrival, saving time to focus on touring the temples. Very efficient and so much food I didn't eat it all. Highly recommend this tour.

For my graduation trip to Japan, it was my first time trying on a kimono, and it was the most worthwhile expense! I spent a long time choosing a shop and finally decided on this one in Arashiyama, and it was such a pleasant surprise 😭 There were absolutely no regrets or dissatisfactions. Everything from the service to the quality of the kimono, the hairstyle, and the overall experience was perfect. First, let me say there are so many kimono styles. I chose a lace one, which was included in the package. The texture was excellent, and the photos turned out very elegant and luxurious, super kawaii! There were many types of hair ornaments and kimono accessories, and the proprietress even helped me choose and match styles, which was very helpful for someone with decision-making difficulties. The lady who helped me put on the kimono was especially wonderful! She heard it was my first time and said she would help me put it on extra well so it wouldn't loosen no matter how much I moved or played around. She kept asking if it was too tight, and the comfort level was maximized; I wore it all day without any discomfort. I especially want to praise the Japanese hairstylist they hired; Japanese hairstyles really are something special. My hair is a mullet, with varying lengths, but she still styled it into a beautiful updo. It stayed perfect all day. In short, I will definitely choose this shop again next time! My friend and I chose one blue and one pink, and they matched perfectly!
