I was very impressed with both the guide, Mr. Chan, and the tour program. It's a bit of a shame that today was very windy and cold, and the river water level was low, so the boat trip program was canceled. However, we received a refund for that part (though not the full amount). I was very impressed. For the route after that, we only had 2.5 hours. If you could endure not having a proper lunch, you could cover everything, but we were hungry, so we ate at a teahouse for half an hour (many delicious shops). We didn't go to the monkey park because we don't like monkeys, but we went straight to Tenryu-ji Temple and then to the bamboo forest, which has a path leading down along the river back to the main road. If you don't shop around or queue for coffee at famous shops, you can make it to the Kimono Forest in time. I recommend using AI to help plan your walking route to make it smoother. In summary, the guide was excellent, much better than other routes (judging from asking other guides while waiting for the car; others were very moody, even if they were from the same company). Our tour guide, Hua Hua, is the best a group could ask for. He's very funny and keeps our group lively. He constantly updates us on what to expect and the places to visit around Arashiyama. He's also a good singer! Thank you for hosting us, Hua Hua!

I took this tour with my family and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. Our tour guide, Aki, was kind, informative, and always made sure no one was left behind. I really enjoyed the historical facts she provided as we walked through the gardens of Tenryu-ji Temple. The photos speak for themselves regarding how beautiful it was. After reading the reviews, I wasn't expecting much from the lunch buffet, but I actually liked it. It gave me Japanese school camp mess hall vibes and was tasty. Everything went according to plan, and based on my experience, I would 100% recommend this tour. However, I understand that some people are unlucky when the boat ride is canceled due to low water levels or excessive rain, and the river ride is a huge part of the experience. Tour guide Lai was enthusiastic and provided detailed explanations, even offering us information about activities after arriving in Arashiyama. We are very grateful! The entire journey by train, horse-drawn carriage, and rafting boat was exciting and fun, a truly rare experience! 👍

A very beautiful place and a wonderful itinerary. The timing was arranged perfectly. These locations are a bit far from Kyoto city center, so having someone assist with transportation was truly convenient. Highly recommended!

The guide was always available. The meeting point is at Kyoto Station, where the buses are (explained well in the guide). The Sagano train is very distinctive, and the 2-hour boat trip is beautiful, even more so with the autumn colors. You then have 2 hours to explore the bamboo forest and wander around the surroundings. Everything was perfectly organized! :) Recommended!

京都の嵐山を走る風光明媚な列車に乗りましたが、景色は期待を裏切りませんでした！川沿いや豊かな緑の中を走る列車は、とてもリラックスできました。保津川下りも本当に楽しみにしていましたが、残念ながら天候のため中止になってしまいました。それでも、列車に乗っただけでも旅の価値はありました！集合場所も分かりやすく、スタッフも親切で助かりました。
