This was my first time visiting for the lunch buffet since the restaurant renovation, and it was for a friend's birthday. The food quality was very high, with oysters, king crab legs, sashimi, chilled shrimp, and chilled conch available. While the variety wasn't extensive, freshness was paramount. It was a shame that on a Saturday, the restaurant was only about half full; I hope business improves in the future. The biggest surprise was the bar staff, who made specialty drinks for guests on the spot. Besides regular coffee or tea, she could also prepare iced lattes (no ice, no sugar) or coffee tonics. My friends and I were all very happy, eating and chatting slowly from 12 PM to 2:30 PM. It was a great weekend activity, and I highly recommend everyone try it!

It's a buy-one-get-one-free deal, and for the price of this lunch, there's an unexpectedly large amount of food, so it's no wonder the place was packed. The desserts, in particular, were very thoughtfully prepared and unique, including mango Napoleon, durian pancakes, crème brûlée mochi puffs, taro egg waffles, several kinds of soft cookies, and various Movenpick ice cream flavors. They were truly impressive and delicious. The seafood, such as oysters, shrimp, and clams, was standard, and surprisingly, there were even lobster claws. The salad was good. The hot dishes and Chinese options were average and could be improved. The Japanese sashimi wasn't cut to order; it was pre-cut and available for self-service, and the quality was just okay. Sushi, cold noodles, and similar items weren't particularly exciting. The service was normal. Overall, this meal offered excellent value for money, and I would definitely come again.

Doskonała i dogodna lokalizacja 📍 Restauracja znajduje się w hotelu Eaton, w bardzo dogodnej lokalizacji. Można do niej szybko dotrzeć autobusem lub metrem, co jest niezwykle wygodne. Cały wystrój restauracji jest bardzo charakterystyczny, łączy w sobie nostalgiczną, retro atmosferę filmową z nowoczesnym komfortem, sprawiając, że od razu po wejściu czuje się relaks i przyjemność. Nienaganna obsługa personelu 💯 Szczególnie chciałbym pochwalić postawę wszystkich pracowników obsługi klienta tego dnia! Od osoby prowadzącej do stolika, przez osoby sprzątające talerze, po kucharzy przy każdym stoisku z jedzeniem – wszyscy byli uśmiechnięci i niezwykle uprzejmi. Talerze były sprzątane bardzo szybko i sprawnie, nigdy nie pozostawiając pustych naczyń na stole, a personel zawsze zwracał uwagę na potrzeby gości, sprawiając, że czuli się oni jak w domu. Wyjątkowo wysoki standard owoców morza i jedzenia 🦀 Najbardziej zaskoczyła mnie obfitość i jakość jedzenia! Owoce morza były bardzo świeże, a zimne dania, takie jak ostrygi i kraby chlebowe, były uzupełniane niezwykle szybko – nigdy nie widziałem pustego talerza; gorące dania były różnorodne, a ich przyprawy były idealne, niezależnie od tego, czy była to pieczona wołowina, pieczona jagnięcina, dania gotowe czy wykwintne przekąski. Czuć było zaangażowanie zespołu kucharzy. Sekcja deserów była idealnym zakończeniem, z ogromnym wyborem lodów i różnorodnych wykwintnych małych ciast, których standard wcale nie ustępował wysokiej klasy cukierniom. Podsumowując: Restauracja The Astor prezentuje bardzo wysoki standard pod względem atmosfery, obsługi i jedzenia, oferując doskonały stosunek jakości do ceny. To zdecydowanie doświadczenie kulinarne, które chce się powtórzyć, i gorąco polecam je wszystkim przyjaciołom poszukującym wyśmienitego jedzenia i doskonałej obsługi!

This time, we booked the dinner buffet for a birthday celebration. The last time I visited was three years ago for the lunch buffet. While the variety of food isn't extensive, the quality is excellent. I'm grateful to the restaurant for arranging a window seat for us this time; the view was lovely. The evening atmosphere is much better than during the day. There weren't too many diners, and everyone was very orderly when getting food, allowing us to enjoy our meal in a quiet and comfortable environment. 👍🏻 A special mention goes to the attentive staff who constantly checked if any plates needed to be cleared. They even prepared a small cake and took photos of us with the night view from the window sill. 🙂 The theme of this buffet was Japanese cuisine, featuring dishes like sukiyaki and caviar wagyu sushi, which suited my current preference for lighter meals. Additionally, the ginseng chicken soup had a strong ginseng flavor without being too overpowering; I had three extra servings! The desserts were decent, and there was a good selection of homemade gelato flavors. One highlight was the unique baked goods; I even made my own mini pineapple bun. 🤭

Oferuje bogaty wybór pysznych dań kuchni wschodniej i zachodniej, a do tego jest w promocji „kup jeden, drugi gratis”, co daje świetny stosunek jakości do ceny! Mimo że co miesiąc odwiedzam to miejsce raz lub dwa razy, aby delektować się kolacją w formie bufetu, naprawdę nie jestem w stanie spróbować wszystkich superatrakcyjnych potraw! Nie martwcie się więc kolejką po „gorące homary”… dłuższą niż „wojsko”. Wiele osób, w tym ja, zjada tylko pół lub jednego homara, ponieważ zostawiamy sobie miejsce na inne pyszne potrawy. Szybko zauważycie, że „nikt nie stoi w kolejce po homary, bo inne przysmaki są już gotowe!”, a do tego obsługa jest uprzejma i „błyskawicznie” sprząta talerze. To profesjonalni „specjaliści od sprzątania talerzy”, ale nie zbierają latających spodków UFO. Dlatego w niedawno ujawnionych przez USA tajnych aktach UFO nie znajdziecie śladu ani informacji o „pokoleniowych specjalistach od sprzątania talerzy” z restauracji „Bay View” w Hong Kong Marriott Hotel! Haha!

The buffet restaurant offers beautiful sea views and comfortable seating, with a reasonable variety of food. However, the hot soup dishes were disappointingly cold, not hot. The male staff member who cleared plates and served ice cream and desserts had an excellent attitude. A major drawback, though, was that precisely at 9:30 PM, when the buffet was scheduled to end, most of the chefs and staff collectively made loud, clanging metal kitchenware and cutlery noises that everyone in the restaurant could hear! This method of clearing metal utensils and rapidly removing food made it seem as if guests were not allowed to stay even one second longer! It was quite startling and embarrassing for customers, almost as if they were being rushed out. All the guests, including a foreign family of three who had arrived late and only had an hour to dine, quickly got up and left the restaurant with me and other patrons. In all my years of frequently enjoying buffets at various hotels in Hong Kong, I have never encountered a hotel restaurant where, precisely at closing time, most of the chefs would display displeasure and deliberately create loud metallic noises, subtly hinting for guests to leave quickly. This was a rare and unsettling experience! Adding to this unpleasant experience, there was a huge, terrifying painting at the restaurant entrance when I left. The painting had a dark, somber tone, depicting only two expressionless men and a child staring directly at you, with terrifying, bottomless black eyes and no whites. It was incredibly eerie and disturbing! No wonder I had previously seen comments from guests saying their seats were in front of this giant painting. I couldn't understand why such a terrifying and unsettling painting of men and a child would be displayed at the entrance of a five-star hotel's high-end restaurant. Seeing this horrifying painting as I left only deepened the unpleasantness of this buffet experience!

Po tym, jak zobaczyłem rekomendację Youtubera, bardzo chciałem pójść na kolację w formie bufetu do Yamm. Klook oferował zniżkę, więc od razu zarezerwowałem stolik. Wszystkie potrawy były pyszne. Było też wiele rodzajów zimnych przystawek, takich jak homary, kraby chlebowe, nogi kraba, małże, szczypce homara, małże, omułki, ślimaki itp. Ryż w glinianym garnku z wołowiną Wagyu, sukiyaki z wołowiny Wagyu i pieczona wołowina były również bardzo smaczne. Pieczona wieprzowina char siu była chuda i soczysta, a kaczka po pekińsku również była dobra. Były szaszłyki z krewetek, tempura i tosty z foie gras. Było wiele rodzajów deserów, a do tofu fa można było samodzielnie dodać czerwoną fasolę, co wyglądało i smakowało świetnie. Było wiele rodzajów gorących i zimnych napojów, w tym soki owocowe, samodzielnie przygotowywana mrożona i gorąca herbata cytrynowa, kawa, a także ekspres do kawy do różnych rodzajów kawy. Lody to były kubeczki Häagen-Dazs. Chciałem spróbować wielu potraw jeszcze raz, ale mój żołądek był już pełny. Dawno nie jadłem tak dobrego bufetu. Restauracja miała wystarczającą liczbę pracowników, szybko sprzątano talerze, każda stacja z jedzeniem miała odpowiedzialną osobę, nikt nie obsługiwał kilku stacji, jedzenie było szybko uzupełniane, więc nie było obaw, że czegoś zabraknie, można było jeść spokojnie. On May 29th, we visited the Kowloon Whampoa Harbour Grand Hotel to enjoy a lavish buffet lunch (12:00 PM - 2:30 PM). The price was reasonable and offered excellent value for money. There was a wide variety of food, and the quality and taste were guaranteed to be delicious. The hotel staff and servers provided excellent service. We've dined here many times and have never been dissatisfied. Our table was conveniently located near the food, which was perfect as one of our party was an elderly person who requested easy access to the buffet. The environment was pleasant with bright natural light from the floor-to-ceiling windows, though the air conditioning was slightly insufficient, which wasn't a major issue. Regarding the food, there was roast beef, which is my favorite, as well as salmon sashimi, octopus, fresh scallops, and fresh red shrimp—all fresh and varied. The cakes and desserts were satisfying. There was a slight shortage of cutlery, but it was replenished quickly, perhaps because the kitchen couldn't wash and replace it fast enough. Overall, I give it a five-star rating; it was a satisfactory experience.

This was an incredibly high-value experience. The food quality was excellent; the lobster was very fresh and sweet, and even the grilled oysters weren't tough. The Chinese chef at this buffet seemed particularly skilled; even simple siu mai demonstrated a deep level of expertise. The restaurant also provided each person with a fish maw soup dumpling. All the hot Chinese dishes were delicious, and the Southeast Asian dishes were also very flavorful. There was a wide variety of food choices. This package also included unlimited sparkling wine, and the timing was very generous, allowing us to dine until 10 PM. It's a highly recommended experience! 👍🏻
