Dingen om te doen in San Francisco Ferry Building

De wachttijden voor de boten waren een beetje lang, maar al met al verliep alles zeer soepel en was het een goede ervaring.

De pier was gemakkelijk te vinden, ik was snel aan boord en het was niet te druk op de dag dat ik ging. Ze hebben audio om te vertellen over de plaatsen waar de cruise langs kwam.

De tour was goed omdat deze je door de stad leidde, maar sommige stops liggen een beetje ver van toeristische trekpleisters. We moesten veel bergopwaarts lopen om Lombard te zien. Het Aquarium maakte plotseling geen deel uit van de tour op de dag dat we meededen, dus we kregen niet de tickets die inbegrepen zouden zijn. De zonsondergangtour was echter de moeite waard.

Wilt u de Golden Gate Bridge van dichtbij zien? Dat kan op deze cruise! De audiogids geeft veel goede informatie over de baai, bezienswaardigheden in de buurt, Alcatraz en natuurlijk de Golden Gate Bridge. De cruise van 1 uur was de tijd en prijs waard. Er zijn veel fotomomenten, het kan fris worden, dus wees voorbereid. Drankjes en snacks zijn verkrijgbaar, en er is veel zitgelegenheid binnen. De beste uitzichten zijn natuurlijk op het dek!

The weather was so great that we could see the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz very clearly. We thought the boat would dock at Alcatraz Island, but it didn't; however, it was actually nice because we got to see various other viewpoints in detail.

It was a tour without a single Korean person, and it was wonderful. We departed right on the dot at 8:40 across from the Gray Line office. They give you a quick moment to take pictures at the Golden Gate Bridge, visit two wineries, and then give you an hour and a half for free time for lunch at Sonoma Plaza. After visiting one more place, we headed back and arrived at 5:30 PM. It was also really great that the driver provided tour commentary the entire way there and back! Even if your English isn't very good, it's still plenty of fun. I used ChatGPT for real-time voice translation throughout the tour to understand, and it was so enjoyable. My only regret is that I couldn't chat with the other tour members because of my English. I highly recommend that Koreans experience this tour, even if you aren't fluent in English!

We were able to board the cable car by showing the QR code on our voucher, but the first staff member told us, "This isn't a ticket." When I peeked at another tourist's smartphone, it looked like they had purchased it locally and didn't have a QR code. Undeterred, I explained the situation to another staff member and showed the QR code, and they let us ride. My heart was pounding, wondering if it would be okay. Since it might depend on the staff member, and there are several around, I think it's a good idea to ask a few different people. Even with that little hiccup, we had a wonderful stay in San Francisco.

Als je van Disney houdt, moet je hier echt heen gaan, het was geweldig! Als je de app downloadt, kun je luisteren naar een audioridleiding in het Nederlands! (Misschien handig om hier alvast in Nederland naar te luisteren). Niet alleen het gebouw zelf is mooi, maar buiten is er ook een groot grasveld en zijn er prachtige uitzichtpunten waar je kunt genieten van iconische bezienswaardigheden van San Francisco, zoals de Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz en het Palace of Fine Arts.
