Purchasing tickets for the Lake Akan sightseeing cruise through Klook was incredibly convenient. We simply presented the QR code at the pier's ticket counter to quickly exchange it for physical tickets. The process was smooth and easy, completely avoiding long queues or time constraints. Even better, the tickets aren't tied to a specific departure time; you can board any boat before the last one, which offers great flexibility for planning your itinerary. The ability to redeem tickets at either pier is also very convenient for travelers.
The cruise ship itself has a modern appearance, and the cabin is clean and comfortable, featuring family seating, a tatami area, and a children's play area. Although there isn't a snack bar, the overall atmosphere is cozy. During the journey, the boat sailed deep into Lake Akan, then circled along the shoreline. The lake water was clear, surrounded by lush green mountains and swaying reeds along the banks, creating a beautiful natural landscape.
Midway, we stopped at Churui Island, where I disembarked to visit the Marimo Exhibition and Observation Center. The exhibit showcased various sizes of rare and adorable spherical green algae balls. Although the visit time was limited, I was still able to admire them up close and take photos. Finally, the sightseeing boat slowly returned to the pier, concluding this pleasant lake journey.
It's worth noting that in July, the temperature at Lake Akan is only in the low 50s Fahrenheit (around 10-19 degrees Celsius), and with the strong winds on the lake, it feels even colder. If you plan to enjoy the lake view or waves from the outer deck, be sure to bring warm clothing; otherwise, you'll have to view the scenery from inside the cabin through the windows.

What an amazing rafting experience! Our first time rafting was unforgettable, thanks to our fun and energetic guide , Sudip, who kept the excitement going from start to finish. The owner, coach, and photographer were all incredibly friendly and professional, providing a very relaxed and enjoyable environment for our family's first-time experience! All we had to do was change into our swimsuits, then put on the rafting gear and life vests they provided, and we were ready to go! Besides our family of four, there were also two Japanese tourists joining us. The coach patiently explained all the safety measures and procedures to us in English. He was a very enthusiastic and professional coach, and he created a pleasant atmosphere for us! During the rafting, even though there were some slightly thrilling rapids, all you had to do was follow the coach's instructions, and you could easily complete the trip. Even my five-year-old and ten-year-old children had a blast! My kids even jumped into the flowing water from a rock at the end of the rafting trip, under the coach's guidance – I was so proud of them! Of course, I joined in too, jumping in to experience the clear, slightly chilly water of Hokkaido in late August; it was truly wonderful! This activity became one of our family's most memorable experiences in Hokkaido! At the end of the activity, the photographer took many fantastic pictures for us, and we received all of them at the end, leaving us with beautiful memories!

I booked a ski instructor for my two daughters. Before the lesson, they added me on WhatsApp to arrange the meeting, ask about the students' basic skiing ability, and send the ski instructor's contact information. We booked an English-speaking instructor for 6 hours, from 10 AM to 4 PM (with a 1-hour lunch break). The instructor picked them up at the ski rental shop. My two daughters loved the instructor; she was very kind and took photos and videos throughout the lesson. We got so many videos of the kids skiing. We were very impressed!

We highly recommend this tour! From meet-up to the ski resort, smooth transportation (back and forth). The equipments we needed were already ready upon arrival. Our guide is really really good, she really tried her best to teach us first timers in snowboarding; also, she knows when someone is struggling and doubles the effort to teach and help the person. The morning session was more into basic snowboarding training, and in the afternoon was the advance level where we will go to the summit then go down! We're able to play with the snow happily! Thank you very much!

The instructor accommodated the ski resort's rescheduling due to strong winds, and also helped with renting equipment, switching from snowboarding to skiing. Despite it raining all day, I still learned advanced techniques. The next day, with the help of AI analysis, I practiced alone on the green slope, then moved to the red slope. Although my technique was still rough, I managed not to fall, which was a great sense of accomplishment.

We rented snow gear and a snowboard this time, and the experience was excellent. The staff was very attentive, carefully checking sizes and equipment details. The best part was being able to communicate in Chinese, which made the rental process easy and quick, so there was no need to worry about misunderstanding technical terms. The equipment was also in great condition. Highly recommended!

I tried skiing for the first time. The instructor was very kind and taught me how to fall and get back up on my own, because I fell often... The instructor was patient and taught me slowly. The location is good and easy to get to. There's a direct bus from Sapporo Station, so there's no need to drive.
