Great 4.0
This was an expensive overnight stay but we had an early flight the next day so we had no choice. Check in took a little while. Room was spacious with a good view of the tarmac.

Fantastic 5.0
Located in the domestic terminal of the airport, the facilities are well-maintained despite their age. You can see the airplane tarmac from the windows, and the airplane noise isn't too bad at night. Recommended for tourists who want to spend the day before browsing the airport souvenir shops! Transportation convenience: Excellent (inside the airport) Hotel location: Domestic terminal Breakfast: Simple and acceptable Cleanliness: Clean

Fantastic 5.0
The hotel is located right next to the station. On the first floor, there is a selection of pillows of various materials to choose from, as well as a Yayoi Ken restaurant, which is also where breakfast is served. On the second floor of the hotel, there is a large public bath. Nearby is an AEON with a large supermarket, where sushi and bento boxes are all half-price after 8:30 PM. The second floor sells women's clothing and shoes. About a five-minute walk away is a delicious soup curry restaurant, and about a fifteen-minute walk away is a LeTao dessert and afternoon tea shop, next to which is a shop selling delicious bread and souvenirs. Right next to the hotel is a 7-11 convenience store. If you are traveling to the airport the next day, you can reserve the hotel bus, making it extremely convenient.

Fantastic 5.0
The place was much better than expected, especially considering the very affordable price. I stayed here for one night before an early morning flight since it’s close to the rental car compound, but it turned out to be more than just a quick stopover. The room was well equipped with all the necessities and would be comfortable even for a longer stay. The main downside is the location, as it’s not very central or close to major attractions. I chose it mainly for its proximity to the airport. The nearest train station is a bit of a walk, which could be inconvenient, especially in heavy snow so we took a taxi instead. There was no staff on site at check in, but the self check-in process via iPad with video call support was straightforward and worked well.

Very convenient for people who needs to be at the CTS airport. They offer free shuttle service. Some of the room amenities are self-service but most are already in the room.

Fantastic 5.0
Great place to stay for a night after a late flight into Chitose. Would happily have stayed longer if we were staying in town. Fast check in, clean room, easy luggage storage, not far to walk to the train station or any place in town.

What to know before visiting Chitose

Quick snapshot of Chitose and what to expect

Chitose is a gateway city where tours, zoos & aquariums and outdoor activities dominate bookings, and demand follows a strong seasonal rhythm. Klook data shows a clear winter peak in February and much lower interest through late summer and September. Expect most bookings to be for guided tours and nature-orientated experiences.

Best times to visit based on crowds and prices

According to Klook booking data, February is the busiest month while September is the quietest, with demand highest in winter and dipping through late summer. Prices drift through the year too: Klook’s past prices peaked around August and trended down into early summer the following year, with June typically the least expensive month. If you want lower prices and smaller crowds, aim for May–June or September when demand is softer; if you prefer the peak-season atmosphere and the busiest travel energy, plan for February. Note that demand and prices don’t move in perfect sync here—February is busiest but not the priciest month, while August has higher prices despite lower demand than the winter peak.

Tips for travellers from the United States

Most travellers from the United States tend to book around two weeks in advance, with many last-minute options available roughly within a week. If your trip falls in the busier winter peak, locking in popular tours a few weeks out gives you more choice; for off-peak months you can be more flexible and still find good options. Use Klook to browse tours and zoo or outdoor activities early on to compare availability and plan your itinerary.
