Great 4.0
The hotel's location is excellent; you can see Mount Fuji from the window. It's near the Kawaguchiko scenic area, making it a relaxing place for a vacation. However, the room amenities only include a toothbrush and toothpaste, and there isn't even bottled water. I feel this aspect makes the value for money (CP ratio) low for the price.

Fantastic 5.0
Parking is free, and the rooms look exactly like the photos. Overall, it has the typical Toyoko Inn style. There's more than one parking lot; if you go out at night and come back to find no spaces next to the building, there's another parking lot a bit further up! It has two buildings, A and B. This time, I stayed in building B. For breakfast, one building offers Western style and the other offers Japanese style. You can go to either or choose whichever you prefer! Self-check-in starts at 3 PM, and check-out is also self-service.

Fantastic 5.0
The location is very central, offering views of Mount Fuji. Although a part of it is obstructed in this area, it actually makes it quite unique. The room was very clean and comfortable, and the staff were all polite and thoughtful. I had to catch the early 9:16 Fuji View sightseeing train the next day, and the hotel specially arranged a private car to depart at 8:45 AM to take me to Kawaguchiko Station. I stayed in the room on the far right facing the hotel, so my view was more obstructed, but when I saw Mount Fuji, I could quickly rush downstairs to the lakeside to take photos!

Fantastic 5.0
Hotel is in a beautiful spot - 10 mins from fijikowaguchiko station. Staff welcoming, helpful and very friendly. do yourself a favour book the Fuji mountain view if you can - we were lucky enough to see mt Fuji from our balcony - truely beautiful. Hotel is dated but still works and looks ok. Facilities were very good within the hotel and their free shuttle bus is a great bonus as well. Overall a very very good hotel. Breakfast was also very good.

Fantastic 5.0
A very good experience! Waking up to a direct view of Mount Fuji, which you're guaranteed to see if the weather is clear between 5 AM and 10 AM. The room is spacious, but the shower facilities are basic; it's better to use the large public bath! Hotel location: Unbeatable beautiful scenery. Transportation convenience: Only accessible by car.

Fantastic 5.0
You can already capture beautiful views of Mount Fuji from within the hotel: from the breakfast cafe, the outdoor garden, the public bath, and even from your room's balcony! It's perfect for anyone who wants to see Mount Fuji. The rooms are very spacious, though the public bath is a bit small. Since the hotel is located on a mountain, it's best to drive there; taking the shuttle bus might not be very convenient.

Fantastic 5.0
The hotel's mattress was very comfortable, and the public hot spring bath had the perfect water temperature, making for a very relaxing soak. I slept wonderfully afterward. The hotel thoughtfully upgraded us to a room with a view, allowing us to see Mount Fuji from afar, but unfortunately, the weather wasn't good during those days, so we couldn't see the beautiful mountain scenery.

What to know before visiting Minamitsuru

What to do in Minamitsuru

Minamitsuru is best known for Tours, Cable cars and Attraction passes, with Parks & gardens and Outdoor & sports activities also popular, according to Klook booking data. The year's rhythm is driven by a busy winter and calmer late summer: December and November register the strongest demand while August is the trough. Travelers come for sightseeing tours and scenic cable-car experiences when demand peaks, and for quieter outdoor adventures in the very quiet late-summer months. Decide whether you want festive crowds or peaceful outdoors — Klook booking data helps you match activities to the season.

Demand and price track each other in winter—higher demand around November–December coincides with stable-to-higher prices—while late summer brings very quiet demand and the year's lowest typical prices. That gap is roughly 75% by Klook booking data, so you can expect a big stretch between budget and top-end neighbourhoods. Staying near the more affordable end suits travellers who prioritise saving on lodging and spending more on activities; the priciest districts tend to suit those who prefer higher-end hotels and are willing to pay a premium for that comfort and ambiance.

Tips for travellers from Singapore

Most travellers from Singapore book ahead: Klook bookings show travellers typically lock things in about 8 days ahead, while the earliest planners book around three weeks out. That makes Minamitsuru friendly to short-notice trips, but planning a little earlier pays off in November–December when demand peaks. Many experiences remain available close to travel—last-minute bookings are often possible one day before—yet if you want popular tours or cable-car time slots in peak months, book earlier on Klook. Use Klook to secure tickets and passes ahead so you can focus on enjoying the season you prefer.
