Japan Bus Tickets

You can book highway buses, sightseeing buses and airport buses across Japan on Klook. That includes city-to-city routes like Tokyo to Osaka and Tokyo to Kyoto, airport transfers from Narita and Haneda, and sightseeing routes to Mt. Fuji and Kawaguchiko.

After payment, your e-ticket will appear in Bookings and in your email. Show it to the driver or staff when you board. You don't need to pick up a physical ticket. A few operators do ask for printed vouchers. Check this info from your booking details in advance.

Your voucher will show bus stop name, a map link, and the boarding tips. Large terminals like Busta Shinjuku and Tokyo Yaesu Bus Terminal have several floors and dozens of bays, so check the floor and bay number on the billboard. Roadside stops in areas like Ueno, Asakusa and Namba can be a short walk from the station exit. Allow extra time to find them.

We will provide you boarding guide and tips to ensure you arrive at the correct location. Arrive at your boarding point at least 15 minutes before departure. Buses leave on time and won't wait for late passengers. If you miss your bus, it counts as a no-show, and your ticket will be non-refundable.

It depends on your operator. Passengers of the same booking are usually seated together, though this isn't guaranteed. On some overnight buses, operators avoid seating unrelated male and female passengers next to each other, so you may see fewer bookable seats than available.

Cancel: Open Klook app. Go to Account > Bookings, select your booking, then tap Refund. If your ticket is already being issued, cancellation fee may apply.

Each operator has different cancellation deadline, usually between 10 minutes and 1 hour before departure. After that, you can't cancel. Check the cancellation policy in booking details.

Change: Bookings can't be changed directly. Cancel your original booking and make a new one. Cancellation fee may apply.

If your bus is cancelled because of a typhoon, heavy snow or other uncontrollable circumstances, you'll get a full refund with no cancellation fee. Contact customer support with your booking number and we'll take care of it. Refund policy for delays depends on the operator's policy. Check your booking details for more info. Delays aren't refundable, so make sure you have enough time for connecting transportations.

It depends on the operator. Mostly, you can book 1-3 months before departure until the departure date. If you can't find any result for your travel date, it means tickets are not open for sales yet. Popular routes sell out in peak season and on weekends, so book early. Some routes sell tickets at terminal counter or onboard, but seats aren't guaranteed.

For most highway buses, you can store one suitcase under the bus and take a small carry-on onboard. Allowances and fees vary by operator. Check the luggage policy at checkout or on booking details. Oversized items like bicycles, skis, snowboards, golf bags and musical instruments may be rejected if space runs out. Operators aren't responsible for loss or damage to items stored under the bus.

Icons on each product page show what's on board: toilet, Wi-Fi, power outlets, reclining seats and blankets. Toilets aren't available on every long-distance bus, but you can easily find one by using filters. Long routes stop for a break every 2-3 hours.

Smoking and alcohol aren't allowed on any bus. You can eat on board, but avoid bringing food with strong smell considering other passengers.

Most operators offer a child ticket with discount for children aged 0-11. Children aged 0-5 may travel free if they don't require seats. Don't worry about remembering complicated age policy. Once you enter passenger details, correct tickets will be assigned automatically.
