Transport in Tainan

We traveled on the day Super Typhoon Bavi was affecting Taiwan, so we were very grateful that our Taiwan High Speed Rail trip still operated safely and wasn't canceled. It gave us peace of mind and allowed us to continue our travel plans without major disruptions. Booking through Klook was seamless, and redeeming our tickets was quick and easy. The train was clean, comfortable, spacious, and departed on time despite the weather. The stations were well organized with clear signs, making it easy for first-time visitors like us to navigate. Traveling from Taipei to Kaohsiung was smooth, fast, and stress-free. We're truly thankful to the THSR team for their professionalism and commitment to passenger safety. Service: 115.4.11 This trip was specifically to attend the banquet hosted by Director's Tea Eggs. Since I needed to get around Tainan, I booked a scooter well in advance through Klook and this company, Starting Point. I picked up the scooter directly from their shop after getting off the train, and it was great to be able to head out and start my itinerary right away. Vehicle Condition: The scooter was very clean overall. There might have been a few minor scratches on the exterior, but it's always a good idea to record a video and take photos before riding for your own protection, just in case there's a dispute. Personally, I really like the service at this rental shop; the scooter was quite fuel-efficient and had plenty of power.

The driver contacted us in advance, and communication was seamless. Traveling from Taoyuan Airport back to Tainan usually requires many transfers. If your High-Speed Rail schedule is confirmed, I highly recommend using their transfer service for this last leg of the journey; it's very convenient!

Thank you to our driver and tour guide! 👍 The itinerary was perfectly arranged, covering all the must-see, must-do, must-eat, must-visit, and must-buy spots! I can't believe we managed to do all that in such a short time! (Apologies, as there were many driver changes during the booking process – perhaps a labor shortage? – so I'm not sure which 'true' driver served us. The driver didn't specifically introduce himself on the road, oh well, missed advertising opportunity! 🤣) Here are some of my favorite parts of the trip: 1) Hayashi Department Store. It was air-conditioned, had many high-quality small items, and a wide variety of things to choose from! 2) Siyue Green Tunnel. It was hot and sunny, but the scenery was beautiful, and the guide's explanation was excellent. (For great photos, the front row is best as there are no obstructions. The sides of the boat are second best. Definitely avoid sitting in the middle, it's hard to take pictures there!) Cleanliness: 5/5 Service: 5/5

The accommodation was conveniently located near Taichung Station. When you show the purchased voucher, they write down the time slot and seat number on a note for you. When boarding, just show the voucher purchased from Klook one more time, and you're all set!
