I booked a three-day chartered tour in Yilan this time. The whole process was comfortable and smooth. The driver was very kind and punctual. The pick-up and drop-off locations were very free and no need to walk much. We went to Taiping Mountain the next day, because there were not many dining options on the mountain, and the driver would help bring meals up. Overall, it was a good travel experience. Driver: Apu, Jeff.
Mr Shi was a very careful and responsible driver, taking all the necessary precautions at dangerous turns on the mountain roads in thick fog. He went out of his way to pick us up or drop us off at all the most convenient locations in the rain, and even called our restaurant to ensure we wouldn’t be left without a ride after we ended his services for the evening.
The driver is very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. He is able to give useful suggestions for us to amend our itinerary to optimise our time. Very friendly and patient with kids too. Car is very spacious and clean.
Jeff is highly recommended. Polite, punctual and a safe driver. Gave recommendations and was always careful - ensured my kids were buckled up before driving. Despite the long and winding drive up the mountainous roads, we ended up falling asleep - a testimony to his gentle driving. He did schedule stops as he advised us the drive could be pretty long. We communicated in mandarin for the journey, as well as via WhatsApp.
As we were already in Yilan, we booked for a city tour of Kavalan, Zhang Ama Farm, and Luodong night market. Fit perfectly for our 8 hour charter. Driver Xiaogao showed up in a Lexus. He just drove us around with not much talking, but that was completely fine with me. Easy communication over WhatsApp.
