Transport in Tainan

We traveled on the day Super Typhoon Bavi was affecting Taiwan, so we were very grateful that our Taiwan High Speed Rail trip still operated safely and wasn't canceled. It gave us peace of mind and allowed us to continue our travel plans without major disruptions. Booking through Klook was seamless, and redeeming our tickets was quick and easy. The train was clean, comfortable, spacious, and departed on time despite the weather. The stations were well organized with clear signs, making it easy for first-time visitors like us to navigate. I would give the travel agency a solid 10 out of 10. From airport transfers to communication, the drivers were very polite and friendly. They provide detailed guidance just in case you are unsure, which I found to be truly fantastic. This includes the coordination of flights and ferry schedules—they even replied to me after business hours (at that time, I happened to purchase the tickets on a Saturday for a Monday trip), and handled everything thoughtfully. It's really convenient to be able to rent a scooter from a creative scooter shop just a three-minute walk from Tainan Train Station through Klook. Plus, you can choose a comfortable scooter to explore Tainan. It's definitely worth renting again on my next trip to Tainan, and I highly recommend it to everyone!

The condition of the scooter was great, it rode very smoothly, and the under-seat storage was large and very convenient. It's a bit of a walk from the High Speed Rail station (about 15 minutes or so), but if you're traveling with someone, one person can come pick up the scooter and ride over to pick up the other person very quickly. The female clerk was also very nice.

I can't believe we managed to do all that in such a short time! (Apologies, as there were many driver changes during the booking process – perhaps a labor shortage? – so I'm not sure which 'true' driver served us. The driver didn't specifically introduce himself on the road, oh well, missed advertising opportunity! 🤣) Here are some of my favorite parts of the trip: 1) Hayashi Department Store. It was air-conditioned, had many high-quality small items, and a wide variety of things to choose from! 2) Siyue Green Tunnel. It was hot and sunny, but the scenery was beautiful, and the guide's explanation was excellent. (For great photos, the front row is best as there are no obstructions. The sides of the boat are second best. Definitely avoid sitting in the middle, it's hard to take pictures there!) Cleanliness: 5/5 Service: 5/5

Tainan Bus Route 98 connects Anping and major tourist attractions, making it very convenient for travelers using public transportation. Taking a small boat through the mangroves in the Sicao Green Tunnel feels like a leisurely walk through a forest. The tree reflections and scenery mirrored in the water create a mysterious and exotic atmosphere, reminiscent of stepping into a tropical rainforest. It is a must-try experience when visiting Tainan!
