It was a good experience on the Hercules cruise. We were a group of 3 friends (all girls) and we boarded the limousine bus, which took us about 2 and a half hours to reach the deck. Our tour guide, Tình, was quite informative. At the deck, they welcomed us with a drink and a towel. Soon after, we had lunch, which offered a lot of vegetarian and non-vegetarian varieties. We visited the pearl farm, Sung Sot Cave (it was majestic, though about 700 steps), Ti Top Island (full of people, so we didn’t go), and enjoyed a free bamboo boat ride. By the time it ended, we had snacks and drinks. We came back relaxing at the top of the cruise. It was a good experience overall, and I think most cruises will offer similar amenities. Remember, they are very particular about timings; they won't hesitate to leave you if you are late.

My day voyage on the cruise was the absolute highlight of our Vietnam trip and worth every single penny. From the moment we stepped into our pristine, modern suite with its breathtaking its views of the cruise, the attention to detail was flawless. The onboard amenities—especially the stunning infinity pool felt like a floating five-star resort rather than a standard boat, and the dining exceeded all expectations by beautifully blending local Vietnamese flavors with international cuisine. What truly elevated the experience, however, was the impeccable and warm service from the crew, who anticipated our every need and perfectly organized the kayaking and cave excursions so we could avoid the heavy tourist crowds.

The cruise is brilliant, and the crew are exceptional. Especially Dan (Mr. Anh), the cruise manager. He was very welcoming and made the trip special from start to finish. He made sure we were well looked after by the staff, and made the tours fun & factful. The tours did take you to the top spots around Ha Long Bay, but they were at popular times so expect queues! The food on the cruise was nice, and they were very good with making sure food fit dietary requirements. Dinner was the standout as a “set menu”, whilst lunch and Breakfast & Brunch were buffet style. The rooms were clean and comfy, with a lovely balcony to relax on. Only big negatives were WiFi wasn’t the best & the hot water in our shower wasn’t consistent. Would definitely recommend this cruise, even potentially come back again and do a few more days!!! It was a very satisfying trip. My child and my family thoroughly enjoyed it. It happened to be my child's birthday, and the surprise they arranged gave him a wonderful memory. The trip and the staff (Dan, Chan, James…) were all very nice. I will definitely choose Amanda again next time!

We loved everything about this cruise and would highly recommend it to our friends and family! It was our first time in Vietnam and the hospitality from the cruise staff was amazing! Special shout to Alice and Louis for taking care of us during this trip! The room was clean, modern and had all the amenities. Food was always amazing and the excursions and activities were top notch as well! Do not hesitate to book a cruise to Halong Bay with Grand Pioneers!

Wow, what an amazing day! The weather was really nice, and a wide variety of food was served at the buffet. Our guide was professional, and Mr. Loi, the manager, contacted me a day before with all the information, including bus details. I highly recommend this to other tourists.

We had an amazing Ha Long Bay experience, especially after upgrading to the Solana Luxury Cruise. Our tour guide, Mr. Ben, was fantastic, fun, informative, and made the trip truly worthwhile. The stops at Halong Bay, Sung Sot Cave, and Tip Top Mountain were beautiful and memorable. It was a bit tiring but definitely worth it. The food on board was just average, nothing too special. One thing to note: single-use plastic water bottles are not allowed on the cruise. It’s best to bring your own reusable bottle for refills. If you must bring plastic bottles, keep them inside your bag—otherwise, the crew might charge you. The cruise chairs weren’t the most comfortable, but the bus ride was excellent. Overall, it was a great experience and one I would recommend with a few heads-ups for future travelers!

Our guide, Vincent, is a very handsome and funny guy. He told me to write that he looks like a monkey, and he entertained us throughout the trip. It was such a nice trip; we enjoyed it a lot. There were nice food options with scenic views, amazing hiking to Ti Top Island, and swimming at the seashore.
