Alpen Takayama Matsumoto Pass Review – My Own Money, My Own Experience I used this pass during my recent trip to Japan, which followed an itinerary of Nagoya → Matsumoto → Alpine Route → Toyama → Takayama → Nagoya. 1. **Fast Delivery of Exchange Voucher.** It was great to receive the pass exchange voucher within two days of ordering. 2. **Easy Exchange for Physical Ticket at Nagoya Station JR Counter.** The process of exchanging the pass at the counter and immediately reserving seats made train travel during the trip much more convenient. 3. **High Utility for a Multi-Region Itinerary.** Since my plan was to travel connecting Matsumoto, the Alpine Route, Toyama, and Takayama, it was convenient not to have to arrange various transportation methods separately. 4. **The Scenery from the Train Was Truly Beautiful.** There were many sections where I traveled while enjoying mountains and natural landscapes, making the journey itself feel like part of the trip. 5. **Excellent Customer Service from Klook.** When a sudden change in plans caused a minor issue during my trip, Klook's customer service responded in real-time, allowing me to resolve it without much difficulty. 6. **I Plan to Go Again.** I was satisfied with this trip and plan to use Klook again when I visit next time. By showing the QR code to the Nohi Bus driver, you can board directly (you need internet access and to open the screen where a bus animation will be running). Although the journey to the ropeway station is a bit long (about an hour and a half for the outbound trip, two and a half hours for the return trip) and there are many stops in between, if people get on and off at every stop during peak hours, it will take even longer for the round trip. The ropeway has two sections with different schedules, so you need to time it carefully and match it with the bus schedule. Overall, while playing in the snow was fun, we felt a bit rushed because we had to keep track of the schedules.😓

I didn't book the round trip because I wanted to take the JR, but on the return trip, I found it more convenient and cheaper to book a package ticket, so I did. There's no need to exchange for a physical ticket, so you need to pay attention to your phone's battery life. If your phone runs out of power or loses internet connection, you're in trouble. Another thing to note is that the voucher for this ticket is extremely, extremely, extremely long. Remember to scroll down until you find the corresponding link. Even after reading the exchange guide, I couldn't find it at first. I finally found where to display the ticket voucher with the help of the bus station staff.

Bara San was very helpful and informative. I had 90 minutes in Takayama, which was sufficient for browsing the morning markets, getting a few snacks, and trying the sake gacha and tasting. I had 90 minutes at Shirakawago, which felt very rushed due to booking the lunch experience. In my opinion, skip lunch for an extra 40 minutes in Shirakawago; it's much more worth it, as there are shops selling snacks in the village anyway. All in all, a beautiful place to visit. The tour guides and bus driver were pleasant, knowledgeable, and responsible. Would recommend for first-timers.

This was my first time joining a Klook one-day tour to famous Japanese attractions. The meeting time was neither too early nor too late, and the location was easy to find. However, since all tour members are strangers to each other on these tours, I believe it would be fairest if the tour guide/your company pre-assigned specific seats to each member. On the day of our tour, we arrived 30 minutes early and checked in with the guide, learning that the tour bus hadn't arrived yet. As there were many people, we waited elsewhere, which unfortunately led to us boarding the bus very late and ending up in seats near the back. As for the schedule, the time spent at each attraction was acceptable. The tour guide was very responsible, introducing popular must-try products and even planning a Shirakawa-go route for our reference.

Shirakawa-go and Takayama Tour is one of the best tours you can get in Nagoya. The tour consists of going to Takayama with some guided excursions. The orientation while inside the bus with the maps provided by the guide was enough for us to be well-guided with the best places to go in Takayama and Shirakawa-go. This tour provided observation deck access, which allowed us to take pictures and buy souvenirs. The tour in Takayama is one of the best tours we had since we were able to roam freely. In Shirakawa-go, we were also able to roam freely.

This was one of the highlights of my trip. Three locations in one day. Shirakawago was stunning even during summer. Takayama, considered the "little Kyoto," gave a peaceful vibe, as did the famous waterway at Gujo Hachiman. I really enjoyed this whole day trip.
