Shirakawa-go and Takayama Tour is one of the best tours you can get in Nagoya. The tour consists of going to Takayama with some guided excursions. The orientation while inside the bus with the maps provided by the guide was enough for us to be well-guided with the best places to go in Takayama and Shirakawa-go. This tour provided observation deck access, which allowed us to take pictures and buy souvenirs. The tour in Takayama is one of the best tours we had since we were able to roam freely. In Shirakawa-go, we were also able to roam freely.

Yesterday, I participated in Klook's Takayama Shirakawa-go day tour, and the entire experience was very satisfying! I especially want to commend our tour leader, Zheng Qiang, who was very professional and dedicated. Although the round trip drive was four hours long, Zheng Qiang continuously provided explanations along the way, covering everything from the surrounding scenery and historical anecdotes to recommendations for local delicacies. His content was rich and lively, with no dull moments. It was clear he had done his homework, and his explanations were objective and neutral, without any hard selling, which made us feel very comfortable and enriched. Thanks to his detailed introductions, the entire journey became more meaningful. It wasn't just about visiting photo-op spots; we gained a deeper understanding of the local culture. If I go to Japan again in the future for a local tour, I will definitely choose Klook first and recommend it to my friends!

I like the sequence that we did the morning market/Takayama first before the Shirakawa-go. The time allotted for each destination was just right. Our guide was also very helpful. The instructions she gave enabled us to make maximum use of the allotted time. You can have a decent photo taken at the observation deck for 2000 yen. No photobomber and a panoramic view of the village behind you

I highly recommend this tour. Although the drive was a bit long, seeing the snow-covered Shirakawa-go village made us temporarily forget the fatigue of the journey. Takayama Old Town has many delicious foods and a wide selection of souvenirs. The itinerary was well-arranged, with appropriate time spent at each attraction. Our tour guide (Jiajia) was friendly and provided travel information and recommendations for good restaurants and snacks along the way. She would take the group to a designated spot, remind us of the boarding time, and then let us explore freely. This was different from typical group tours where you have to stick together; there was no need for the group to enter and exit together, and the guide explained things as we went. This approach was more relaxed, free, and stress-free. The tour group members were also excellent; everyone was very punctual in getting on and off the bus, and the itinerary had no delays at all. It was a perfect day.

I highly recommend this tour when visiting Nagoya! Shirakawa-go Gassho Village is truly beautiful! Especially after a snowfall, it's definitely worth seeing at least once! The Hida beef in Takayama Old Town is also delicious! The meeting point was easy to find and very convenient! Our tour guide this time was Ms. Liu Mei. She thoughtfully prepared maps in advance, explained the attractions in great detail, and recommended many popular photo spots and restaurants, allowing us to quickly familiarize ourselves with the area upon arrival! She was very professional! She adjusted our itinerary in real-time, making the trip very smooth! This saved us a lot of waiting time, and we had a wonderful time! The bus driver's skills were also excellent! The bus was clean and tidy! Back in the city, tour guide Liu Mei enthusiastically shared many city delicacies and other tourist attractions in Nagoya! Next time, we will definitely come back to Nagoya to join other day tours recommended by tour guide Liu Mei! We hope to have tour guide Liu Mei lead us again!

Highly recommended tour. Takayama and Shirakawago were both worth the time (8am-6pm). These places were both charming, rich in culture and very photogenic. The quality of the food and the crafts in the area were great. Our guide Leo was excellent. He shared a lot of information about both towns, its history, food, and culture. He went extra by marking our maps with recommended walking routes and spots for snacks and shopping. And by the end of the tour, he shared his recommended dining spots in Nagoya.

This was an unforgettable tour to Shirakawa Go. The tour guide changed the itinerary to visit Shirakawa Go first then went to Hida Takayama; which worked better because Shirakawa Go was so beautiful in the morning when the sun was out. This tour was on late December and the snow just started to build up, but melted eventually as it was not cold enough. Beware! Lots of black ice, wear non slippery base shoes. The tour guide added extra hours to Shirakawa Go which was great that we had time to enjoy some local snacks while in the area. Visit to Hida Takayama was in late afternoon, lots of restaurants have closed by 2:30 pm so we could only have light lunches like hida beef sushi and yakitori. But the town itself is so beautiful. We enjoy the atmosphere. The tour guide was so lovely, she was knowledgable and made lots of suggestions of what places to visit and to eat in. She also walks with us to make sure we can get in and out the places correctly. We highly recommend this tour. The timing is correct, not too rush. Thank you to both the tour leader and the driver! You did a great job!

I was awe-struck on the trip. My trip was led by Miss Amy, and she is a very kind and cheerful guide. She is both very informative by giving us pictures of the map ahead of time and laying out what to explore ahead of time. She was also very considerate to us tourist, and was touched by her acts of personal kindess to my family. She made us feel welcome at the locations we visited. Moreover, she cooperated with the bus driver cordially and thanked the bus driver for his hard work. We also expressed our gratitude to the bus driver for his part in the trip at the end of the trip. Overall, I would say that the trip was worth it.

The meeting point is easy to locate. Our tour guide, Jane, gave a good overview of the history of Takayama and Shirakawa-go. It was a long bus ride, and ample washroom stops were provided. We tried the famous ramen in Takayama and the yummy ice cream in Shirakawa. The beautiful scenery in both places was amazing. My children had fun playing with the snow; it was drizzling high up in the mountains. We walked up to the observatory deck as we missed the micro-bus, which ran every 20 minutes. The walk takes about 10-15 minutes. When we were done and came down, the micro-bus had just arrived at the observatory deck.
