Mijn groep van 6 personen heeft genoten van onze 2-daagse/1-nacht tour door de Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route. We hadden het geluk zo'n uitstekende gids te hebben in mevrouw Zhang, 张静娟. Onze route was goed gepland en de gedetailleerde uitleg van mevrouw Zhang over de plaatsen die we bezochten was helder en precies. Ze heeft ons ook geadviseerd over het lekkere lokale eten dat we moesten proberen. De 6 verschillende transportmiddelen waren een ervaring toen we de Alpen en de bergen overstaken om de sneeuwmuren te bereiken. Het hoogste punt van de muur was 11 meter, helaas regende het toen we de sneeuwmuur bereikten, onze foto's waren een beetje wazig en nat, maar ons enthousiasme heeft het weer gecompenseerd 😂

This time, I joined a small group tour to Kurobe Tateyama. Although there was no tour guide, the driver was gentle and friendly, and he was an expert on Nagoya, so we could ask him questions at any time. Since the attractions are quite far apart, there is a lot of time spent riding in the vehicle, but it's also a great opportunity to rest along the way. The scenery along the route was super beautiful. In the evening, we stayed at a hot spring hotel where we could soak and relax. If you are thinking about visiting Kurobe Tateyama along with Shirakawa-go, I highly recommend this itinerary, as it saves a lot of time on self-planning.

Departing in mid-October, we seized the opportunity before the mountain trails closed. I had actually wanted to go for a very long time. Our tour guide, Ms. Yu, was extremely attentive the entire time, provided very clear explanations, answered all the group members' questions, and interacted with us a lot. We had a wonderful time, and both dinner and breakfast featured authentic Japanese-style meals.

Hiro-san was zo'n vriendelijke gids dat hij me op het perron ontmoette en me naar de plek reed. Sumi-san was geduldig met me en kon me de juiste techniek laten zien om mijn mes te slijpen. Ik ben buitengewoon blij met het eindproduct en heb het al gebruikt (snijdt als een droom). Ze hebben ook andere messen die je kunt kopen, dus ik heb er een paar meegenomen.

Location was superb, being right next to the train station, which was why I booked it. The public foot bath on the top floor was also very welcome, especially as I had just come in from Kamikochi. 6 mins walk away is Cafe Rin-Rin, a mom and pop cafe that felt like you were stepping back in time, and served delicious french toast. The room was comfortable and good-sized for a solo traveller, and the washing machine was a godsend. The only thing that was very annoying was the lamp sitting over the small table, as I kept hitting my head on it. It was at a very inconvenient spot and height.

Het hotel is erg goed. De kamers zijn ruim, met een privé-onsen en aparte airconditioning. Parkeren kost een beetje. Er is een welkomstdrankje in de vorm van bier of jus d'orange. Het ontbijt is standaard goed. Het is vrij ver van het treinstation en de stad, maar daardoor wel rustig.

I've stayed here many times. It's always clean. This time I got a slightly older room, but it was still good. Breakfast is included, and there's ramen available late at night. You can use the private onsen without a reservation; if the sign is available, you can enter right away. Just flip the sign on the door to 'occupied' when you're using it, and then flip it back to 'available' after you're done.

The hotel's location is excellent, just about two or three minutes from Takayama Station. There's also a large supermarket about a 5-minute walk away. The room is spacious, and the refrigerator comes with complimentary beer, soda, a large bottle of mineral water, and a large bottle of sake, all free to enjoy. A kitchen is provided, but there are few cooking utensils, and while there's a non-stick pan, it has many scratches. I heard you can exchange it for a new one at the front desk. The room also has a washer-dryer, and two complimentary laundry pods are provided, which is great!

Ik zou dit misschien een 4,5/5 geven. De locatie is 650 meter van Takayama station. Er staat ook geen gebouw voor hun hotel, dus het uitzicht was goed. Het personeel was behulpzaam. Vlotte check-in. De kamer was ruim genoeg, met tafel en stoel. Gratis water, leeshoek en complete voorzieningen in de lobby.
