We had such a great time on this tour, and a big part of it was thanks to our tour guide, Kelvin! Kelvin was our driver, tour guide and also our photographer for the day. He was very knowledgeable and made the mangrove and fireflies tour really enjoyable. He introduced us to the different animals we saw, including the proboscis monkeys, and shared interesting facts about what they eat, their digestion and their behaviour. It was really interesting to learn about them along the way. He was also very entertaining and took great care of us throughout the whole trip. He definitely went above and beyond, especially when he took the time to help us take photos at the sunset spot. We really appreciated how attentive and thoughtful he was. Also, a big shoutout to his co-tour guide, Gary, who was equally helpful and made the experience even better. Thank you, Kelvin and Gary, for such a memorable day!

My family and a friend's family, totaling 4 adults and 4 children, signed up for this tour. We were picked up at our hotel at 7:30 AM, followed by a 2.5-hour drive to the Kinabalu Park viewing deck. Although there was traffic leaving downtown Kota Kinabalu towards Mount Kinabalu, the guide was very accommodating with bathroom breaks for the kids along the way. We took plenty of pictures at the viewing deck and then headed to the Desa Dairy Farm 🐮, making a pit stop at a local fruit shop just before arriving. Our tour guide, Jeff, introduced us to fruits we had never seen before, and we bought and tried a few of them 🥭. We were thrilled by fruits we had never heard of or seen, like apple jelly fruit, avocado cheese fruit, and snake fruit 😆. The avocado cheese fruit tasted and felt like sweet, steamed pumpkin, unlike any fruit we'd ever had! It was delicious 😋. From there, we headed to the Desa Farm. Located at an altitude of about 1,500 meters, it was pleasantly cool! It was clear with few clouds, and we managed to take many wonderful photos with the sharp ridges of Mount Kinabalu in the background. We even saw a sun halo ☀️! Jeff smoothly guided us through the highlights, like getting soft-serve ice cream and feeding the calves and goats. As a father of four, Jeff is also an expert on fun TikTok trends, and the kids had an absolute blast shooting fun, video-like clips with the family, leaving us all extremely satisfied 😁. Afterward, we had lunch at a nearby restaurant and headed off for Rafflesia viewing 🌺. We were worried whether we'd be able to see any since they only bloom for 5 to 7 days a year, but we actually got to see two blooming Rafflesia flowers ✌️. We also saw buds and withered ones, making it a unique experience you can only have on-site 👌. Nearby, there were cacao and durian trees! I had no idea durians grew on such tall trees 😳. By this time, it was a little past 3:00 PM. The kids were getting tired, so we decided it was time to head back, and we flexibly adjusted our itinerary to return home—especially since the morning traffic jam had been so long 💦. On the way back, Jeff pointed out a mysterious cloud hanging over the peak of Mount Kinabalu, telling us how rare it was 👌. The return trip was also a bit congested, but we managed to get back to the hotel around 7:00 PM. Our original return time was supposed to be 5:30 PM, but traffic and the summer vacation season made it busy. A helpful tip: it's a good idea to bring a bit of extra cash, as you'll need bug spray around the Rafflesia area, and some restaurants at lunch don't accept credit cards. Thank you, Jeff, for such a fun tour! Between the magnificent scenery and your entertaining guidance, we had an amazing time. Highly recommended 👌.

Pengalaman island hopping yang sangat menyenangkan dan nyaman. Perjalanan dengan perahu lancar dan berangin, cuaca sangat baik hari itu. Baik Pulau Sapi maupun Pulau Manukan memiliki pantai yang sangat indah. Pemandu wisata, Nanak, sangat ramah dan menjawab semua pertanyaan kami, juga membantu semua orang menjaga tas dan barang-barang mereka. Banana boat dan snorkeling wajib dicoba. Berhasil melihat beberapa spesies ikan, snorkeling terbatas pada area dekat pantai tetapi dapat melihat cukup banyak ikan. Matahari sangat terik jadi harus memakai tabir surya untuk mencegah kulit terbakar. Waktu juga cukup dan berakhir cukup awal pada jam 3 sore.

A very satisfying trip! I saw the Rafflesia as I wished, and the other activities were also good. Our guide, Calvin, was very kind and meticulously introduced the activities. He drove carefully, which made us feel very safe. I twisted my ankle and had a swollen bump that needed a doctor. He recommended and took me to a clinic, where I quickly saw a doctor and had an X-ray. The doctor confirmed I had no fracture, which put my mind at ease, and the cost was reasonable. Thanks again to Calvin for his help. This one-day tour had many activities, and the lunch was also good. I think the tour fee was reasonably priced.

We participated in the company trip with 8 people. We were the only Japanese, and most of the other tourists on Mantanani Island were Chinese. Our guide, Xiao Zhong, was particularly excellent. We were initially concerned because the tour was primarily in Chinese and English, but he used a translation device to explain everything to us. The snorkeling, proboscis monkeys, and fireflies were wonderful. Although we had to wait for over 30 minutes due to a sudden downpour, it was an amazing experience overall.

The half-day itinerary was packed, and our guide, Daniel, was absolutely fantastic! He spoke Malay, English, and Chinese... I bet he could handle Cantonese and Hokkien too! He was incredibly patient and meticulous with his explanations and arrangements throughout the trip. Even the two little ones in our group loved chatting with him. We found the proboscis monkeys, saw the sunset, but the grand finale was truly the highlight: a sky full of stars and trees full of fireflies. One star twinkled in the sky, and a firefly rested in my hand – it was the most beautiful and serene experience imaginable (the camera couldn't capture even a fraction of it). Thank you, Daniel, and thank you, Kawa, for a wonderful journey and a delightful encounter.

Enjoy a safe and fun stand-up paddleboarding experience at Tanjung Aru Beach, home to one of the world's most famous sunsets! We highly recommend stand-up paddleboarding in Sabah! First, a big shout-out to our coach! The coach was very responsible, dedicated, and humorous in their teaching. They provided careful guidance throughout the process and paid attention to everyone's safety, making our first stand-up paddleboarding experience completely stress-free and incredibly fun! After placing our order, the travel agency promptly contacted us to confirm the itinerary. The staff were friendly and patient, and the pick-up was very punctual. The entire process made us feel very reassured. The biggest fear when traveling is not being able to reach someone after booking an itinerary or uncertainty about pick-up, but this time, we had none of those issues. From booking and communication to pick-up and the on-site experience, everything was very reassuring. Stand-up paddleboarding is truly a blast!

Five-star experience! Five-star journey! A perfect trip! Our tour guide, Sue, contacted us via WhatsApp the night before and was incredibly patient in answering all our questions. Throughout the trip, she helped us take photos without any hesitation. There were some group members with very high photography demands, and Sue patiently assisted them as well. It's worth noting that our group was combined with several others, but all the guides knew each other, creating a fantastic atmosphere. One guide constantly played music through a large speaker, setting a lively mood and even matching themes, like playing Jay Chou's "Rice Field" when we were watching fireflies! Truly amazing! Be aware that the local mosquitoes are very aggressive and are not deterred by mosquito repellent or water, so this is something to watch out for. The sunset there is stunning! We had plenty of time for free activities and taking photos. My first snorkeling experience was also breathtaking. The only downside was that some people in the group might have been afraid of water, so we had to accommodate them and couldn't visit more spots, ending up spending about an hour at one location. You can rent a locker on the island for HKD$60, but it's actually not necessary; no one will steal your belongings on a deserted island… Watching the fireflies will definitely be an unforgettable experience! Photos can't capture the震撼 (shocking beauty); you'll understand once you go! P.S. The meeting time on that day was 7 AM! So we had to get up very early, but it was worth it.
