五星體驗！五星旅程！完美的一次旅程！ 導遊Sue 早一晚已經由Whatsapp找到我們，超級有耐心回答所有問題。全程也會幫我們影相拍照無拒絕，隨團有一些對攝影要求好高的團友，想不到Sue 也會超有耐性幫他們影相。 要知道當日係會由幾團人合拼，但呢班人既導遊全部都識對方，所以好識搞氣氛，有一個導遊長期帶住大喇叭播歌，勁好氣氛，而且會配合主題，例如睇螢火蟲時會播周杰倫的稻香！認真正！ 要注意當地蚊勁惡，係唔怕蚊怕水，是要注意的一點。 當地日落勁靚！大把時間自由活動同打卡，第一次的浮潛都好驚為天人，唯一可惜係隨團可能有人恐水，要照顧這些人，未能去多幾個點，最後留在1個點玩左1個鐘左右。 島上可以$60HKD 租locker，但其實唔駛租都得，無人會在一個孤島偷你野… 睇螢火蟲絕對令你畢身難忘！影相都影唔到個種震撼，去一次你就會明！ p.s 當日集合時間是7點！所以勁早起身，但值得的。

Baoqing was truly our guide of the day. Although I’m a local and have joined multiple tour agencies to Mantanani Island and the Kawa-Kawa River, Baoqing stood out as an exceptional tour guide who showed me how much difference a good guide can make to a trip. He provided clear and detailed information from the beginning until the end, including estimated travel times to each destination, which is especially important for foreign tourists. What impressed me most was his attentiveness during the snorkeling session, where he took the initiative to ask who could and could not swim—something none of the other tour agencies I’ve experienced ever considered. The tour assistants were friendly, patient, and very considerate despite doing this work repeatedly, and their professionalism truly enhanced the overall experience. For firefly-watching tours, feel free to reach out—I’d be happy to help upgrade and enhance the tourist experience, as I studied firefly tourism during my master’s degree.

The one-day tour itinerary was exceptionally well-arranged; it felt like not a minute was wasted. The white sands and turquoise waters of Mantanani Island were truly breathtaking. The boat crew threw a lot of bread at the snorkeling spot, attracting many beautiful fish, making it feel like we were surrounded by schools of fish. In the evening, during the firefly night cruise in the mangrove forest, we saw countless fireflies. The crew used lights to attract them, making it feel as if we were in a fairy tale. We even saw a tree covered in fireflies, which looked especially like a Christmas tree lit up, corresponding to the brilliant stars in the sky, washing away the fatigue of bustling city life for every tourist. The only regret was not seeing proboscis monkeys during the afternoon mangrove boat tour, but travel always has some imperfections, which gives us motivation for our next trip! Secondly, I must highly praise our guide, Nelson. He was very enthusiastic, spoke gently and politely, and was highly experienced, taking great care of us throughout the trip. He advised us on the best seating positions on the boat for optimal views and experience, and helped us watch our belongings so we could take photos with peace of mind. A huge thumbs up to Nelson! 👍

An exceptional tour! Good value for its price. We went to Mantanani Island, explored the wildlife of Sabah on the river cruise, and saw the fireflies after sunset. It was a whole day tour, quite tiring, but it was worth it!

The facilities on the island are cleaner than any I've visited before, and there are great photo spots. Plus, free water sports equipment is available for rent. We went snorkeling at two spots; the water was quite deep, and the coral reefs were a bit far. You can attract fish by feeding them bread. Our guide, Johnny, was excellent; he dove down to take close-up photos of the beautiful coral reefs and fish for me, as I don't dive. After lunch and free time on the island, we went on a river cruise to look for the rare proboscis monkeys. There's only a 30% chance of seeing them, but we were lucky enough to spot two groups of them, and very close up! For dinner, we went to a spacious, uncrowded beach to dine while watching the sunset, which was much more comfortable than Tanjung Aru Beach in the city center. The fireflies we saw after dinner were truly unforgettable; cameras can't capture the shock and beauty of that moment. The fireflies even flew onto our hands. It was a very fulfilling day, highly recommended.

When we went to Mermaid Island, there weren't too many tourists. At the first snorkeling spot, we saw many colorful corals and fish. The second snorkeling spot wasn't as good as the first. The lunch provided on the island was quite delicious. During free time, we could use the boats placed nearby. Our guide this time was Victor. From previous reviews, it seems he always wears a red jersey with the number 79. He also accompanied us into the water at the snorkeling spots. If you can't swim, you can tell him, and he'll keep an eye on you. He's a very kind uncle, and the whole trip was very relaxed and unhurried, making it a great itinerary for unwinding (the afternoon snack, curry puffs, were super delicious!!! And the rose water was also very refreshing).

Addison, our guide, was very kind. I was the only Korean in the group, and I was with a Japanese family and Chinese people. The guide provided separate Korean guidance via WhatsApp just for me, so I didn't have any difficulty during the tour :) Also, they would proactively take photos for me or play Korean pop songs, giving me the impression that they were thoughtfully considerate to ensure I, as the only Korean, wouldn't feel bored or left out. The staff on our boat were also fluent in English and would joke with me or ask if I needed anything first, so I had an enjoyable time without any discomfort! I later asked if this guide and staff conducted other tours, but unfortunately, they only do tours to Mantanani Island ㅜ I want to come again next time. Safety: Life jackets and equipment are provided, and staff are present during various activities and snorkeling. Experience: They take good photos and offer a variety of marine sports (some at an additional cost). Location: A bit far from Kota Kinabalu city center.

Our day trip started at 7 AM from the hotel lobby on March 16th. Our guide was Yung, a friendly and responsible young man. We loved the activities! The snorkeling area wasn't great because the water wasn't clear and there weren't many fish to see. We did manage to spot some jellyfish. The island waters were very pretty, and the sand was soft. Too bad the weather was very hot. The Kawa Kawa cruise was great; we were lucky to see proboscis monkeys. After dinner, we visited the beach to view a gorgeous sunset, and then returned to the Kawa Kawa cruise for fireflies, which were so pretty. All in all, it was good. We reached the hotel after 10 PM. What a long day!

Awesome, awesome! Tour guide Wenzi is humorous, handsome, and thoughtful! The experience was fantastic, and you absolutely must see the fireflies! It's a visual spectacle, with the stars in the sky combined with the fireflies on the river and trees, incredibly beautiful, like the lights on a Christmas tree 🎄. The snorkeling 🤿 instructors thoughtfully guide you to find Nemo, take photos and videos for you, leaving you with wonderful memories. The sunset is also stunning. All in all, I'm very satisfied with this trip! I recommend finding Wenzi, the young man 😆

Although it's far from Kota Kinabalu, it's well worth the trip. It boasts a superior marine environment compared to Dinawan/Mengalum. Perhaps its inaccessibility makes it even more beautiful. I highly recommend it to anyone considering a visit.
