Our tour guide, Xiao Chen, was very friendly and explained everything clearly. During the journey, he taught us a lot about the ecosystem of the Kawa mangroves and also helped us take many photos. He thoughtfully prepared raincoats and binoculars for us, in case we got wet and to help us see the gibbons/kingfishers more clearly. He even treated us to coconut pudding, which was very hospitable. It was truly a great experience.

Fantastic Kota Kinabalu City Tour! The tour company contacted us clearly via WhatsApp in advance, so everything was easy and stress-free. Our guide, Ms. Yee, was incredibly friendly and cheerful! Although our English is not perfect, she used a translation app, gestures, and lots of smiles to communicate with us. My wife and I had such a fun time thanks to her! Our driver, Mr. Max, was also very professional, with safe and smooth driving throughout the tour. The tour is short but covers the major landmarks of Kota Kinabalu efficiently. In a group of about 20-30 people, only two of us were Japanese. Most of the participants were Chinese, and the tour was basically conducted in Chinese, but the guide explained things to us in English each time and always looked out for us. The journey to the island was a little over an hour by high-speed cruise ship. It was incredibly fast and quite bumpy! 😂 But the ship was so fast that we didn't even have time to get seasick, haha. Onboard, the guides played music and livened things up, making the travel time enjoyable. The facilities on the island were new and clean. Toilets, shower rooms, and even hair dryers were fully equipped, making our stay comfortable. Before snorkeling, there was a safety briefing, and for the two of us, a staff member provided one-on-one explanations, showing us precautions translated into Japanese. They also checked each time to ensure we understood everything, and I felt that their attention to safety was very thorough. For snorkeling, we took a boat to two different spots. The sea was truly beautiful and wonderful! 🐠 The guide constantly checked on us, ensuring our safety while also making sure we had fun. After returning to the island, a luxurious meal of crab, shrimp, and other dishes was prepared, and we could enjoy drinks freely 🦀🦐 Afterward, we had free time. We relaxed under a parasol on the beach. When it was time, we boarded that super-fast cruise ship again for the return journey. Since it was an early morning tour, we were quite tired by the time we headed back, but it was a fulfilling day nonetheless. My only regret is that I forgot to give a tip to the guide who took such good care of us when we left. They were so kind to us until the very end. Since about 90% of the participants are Chinese, Japanese participants might initially feel a little uneasy if they join alone. However, there were many guides and staff members who paid very close attention to us Japanese participants, so in the end, we had a wonderful time without any worries. The sea was beautiful, snorkeling was fun, and the food was luxurious. Above all, the warm support from all the staff left a lasting impression. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who might be hesitant because of the small number of Japanese participants! 🌴🐠✨

I couldn't find the red phone booth at the meeting point, so I visited the information counter at Jesselton Ferry Port. Although I was past the meeting time, the information staff called the tour company for me, and I was able to meet up with my guide. There were three other groups who were also lost, and we all headed to the island together. It was my first time snorkeling, but they lent me a life jacket and fins, so I was able to swim easily. While I was swimming, the guide took photos and videos with a GoPro! I especially love the video taken with the clownfish's home! The photos taken will be sent via WhatsApp after the tour. Swimming was quite tiring, so it was great to have about two hours of relaxation time afterward. The boat ride was quite rough, so I thought it would have been better if I had taken motion sickness medication.
