The first room I was in started smelling like smoke while I was getting ready for bed. It was coming from the bathroom, so I’m guessing someone was smoking somewhere in the building. Thankfully, they had another room to move me to and did so quickly. I really liked this hotel, aside from that. It was close to everything, it was clean, it was a good value for the price. Except for on Saturday night. On Saturday the cost tripled so I booked a bed in the dorm and that was ok, but I wouldn’t stay in the dorm again.

Very clean with basic amenities. The room and toilet are spacious, sufficient space for us to walk around even with 2 medium size luggage. With most hotels in Taiwan not providing one-off disposable item, this hotel provided toothbrush and toothpaste. We also love the hotel's phone! Its so special. Fengjia Night Market is also about 5-10mins walk away. Highly recommend for a stay in Taichung!

The hotel was excellent and offered great value for money, significantly cheaper than other hotels in the area. We booked a room for three people with breakfast included, and the breakfast was fantastic. Plus, it’s just a short walk to the MRT station, making it very convenient for getting around.

Hub Hotel Taichung Wenxin Branch is hands down the best accommodation in Taichung! The rooms are exceptionally clean and well-maintained, making it such a comfortable and relaxing place to stay. The amenities are amazing — from the cozy lounge areas to the convenient in-room features, everything is thoughtfully designed for a great guest experience.
One of the highlights is the free breakfast, which is both delicious and satisfying — such a great way to start the day! The location is also incredibly accessible, making it easy to get around the city whether you're here for leisure or business.
The overall vibe is welcoming and modern, and the staff are helpful and professional, so check-in and check-out were very smooth. I can’t wait for my next stay here. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Taichung!

I fortunately won NT$5000 accommodation voucher from Klook / Lucky Land and it applies to The Carlton. Super great deal!! considering there's daily breakfast included and the hotel is near bus stops. Additional note: there's a cat cafe within 5-min walking distance :)

The hotel is getting old but is still clean in general. Very well-trained staff, from receptionists, to waitresses and the parking lot security, all are polite and helpful. We checked in late and was starving but was thrilled to find that they offer free Taiwanese snacks at their restaurant. They also offer free parking at their spacious underground garage which saved us a lot of hassle.
