Higashiyama

Higashiyama District doesn’t close because it’s a neighborhood, not just one place. But most temples and shops close around 5 to 6 PM. Make sure to plan your visit so you can see popular spots like Kiyomizu Temple.

The best time to visit Higashiyama is during early April when cherry blossoms are in full bloom. The cherry trees look amazing and offer breathtaking views. Autumn is also a great time to visit. You should plan to spend about half a day exploring Higashiyama District.
