Remember to arrive at the check-in counter early. There's a parking lot and gas station nearby, which is very convenient! After checking in, you can browse the merchandise store. After gathering, there will be an explanation and equipment fitting. Remember to apply sunscreen!

Before departure, the supplier will ask you to put your backpack into a special waterproof bag. We recommend packing as lightly as possible and remembering to bring water, as we spent a long time on the ice. It's windy on the ice, so we suggest wearing a wool hat. For some experiences, water may drip, so put on the hood of the supplier's waterproof jacket. This activity is highly recommended and offers great value for money. We happened to catch them building a new viewing platform. Glaciers move several centimeters forward each day, so they need to build new platforms every few months.

The glacier hike experience was excellent! 👍 The equipment was complete; you only needed to bring your own sunglasses and a wool hat. The explanations were detailed, and they helped take care of children's clothing and safety. Most of the group members were Chinese, and they were well-behaved, keeping the team orderly throughout. The guide was also very patient and enthusiastic, explaining everything thoroughly and trying their best to explore interesting routes. We found several blue ice caves and even drank glacier water. The hiking time was long enough, and the difficulty was not high; my son kept saying he hadn't had enough fun. However, a reminder: Fox Glacier and the other two glaciers are very far apart. If you're starting from Tekapo, Tasman Glacier is more suitable. Make sure to plan your route and navigate when booking.

The glacier scenery is truly spectacular. From the commentary, shuttle service, helicopter ride, to the guide's explanations, everything was very professional and smooth. Our guide was a young, handsome, and charming man.

There are many places to see glaciers on New Zealand's South Island, and Fox Glacier is definitely one to recommend. After checking in, you can store your belongings, collect your equipment, and listen to a full safety briefing. After the briefing, you'll take a shuttle to the airport for a helicopter ride. About ten minutes later, you'll arrive at Fox Glacier itself. We walked on it for about three hours, marveling at the beauty of nature, but also lamenting the rapid disappearance of the glacier, which made us cherish this trip even more.

The experience of exploring the Fox, Franz Josef, and Tasman glaciers, along with the views of Mount Cook and the Southern Alps, was originally supposed to include a helicopter landing on the snow. However, due to weather conditions at the landing site, this was not possible, and we were offered an alternative experience: a scenic flight in a light aircraft. The scenery was incredibly beautiful, and I highly recommend trying it at least once. The safe flight and the rich explanations of the terrain and scenery were the highlight. Even the child loved it very much.
