We had an amazing heli hike experience and were so fortunate to have Tyana as our guide! She was incredibly friendly, informative, and approachable throughout the entire trip. She made an effort to speak with every participant individually, constantly checked in to make sure we were doing okay, and patiently answered all our questions. Tyana shared so much interesting information about Fox Glacier, which made the experience even more memorable and meaningful. We felt very safe and well taken care of throughout the hike. All the necessary gear was provided, including waterproof pants and jackets, backpacks, hiking sticks, waterproof boots, and crampons, so we were fully prepared for the conditions. The hike itself was manageable and not overly tiring, with plenty of pit stops along the way to rest and take beautiful photos. Overall, it was such a fun and unforgettable experience, and we’re really happy to have had Tyana as our guide. Highly recommend!

Aunque es un poco caro, es una actividad que realmente hay que probar en Nueva Zelanda. Pero por el paseo en helicóptero y las 3 horas de caminata por el glaciar, diría que vale la pena. Me sentí seguro durante toda la actividad y proporcionaron vestimenta y equipo buenos y suficientes para garantizar mi seguridad y que me mantuviera seco. This unforgettable trip was absolutely worth the price. Everything was included, from windproof clothing, pants, bags, hiking poles, shoes, and gloves. The staff were friendly and even helped tie shoelaces! During the hike, they took excellent care of everyone. Even though some people were taking photos while walking, they patiently advised them without getting annoyed. The helicopter and glacier hike fulfilled two wishes at once, providing a full four-hour experience that is definitely one of the best memories from New Zealand. Thanks, Klook. We took the tour on December 1st, and it wasn't too cold; a long-sleeved T-shirt and the windproof jacket they provided were warm enough.

We were so lucky that the weather was on our side and we managed to go up to the glaciers after hearing that they failed to go all 3 days before us and even the slot before us couldn't go up. (No worries, it would be fully refunded if you don't go up). We went in December and thought it would be very cold up there, but actually it's not that cold, provided necessities and jackets/boots. Very helpful guides made the whole experience magical! We would love to go back again if there's a chance!!

Once in a lifetime experience in New Zealand. Been to Franz-Josef too, different feelings and experience after these years. Overall, the tour guides were nice and catered guests’ request. The facility is easy to find with parking. Equipment is well provided. And finally, the weather made this happen.

The helicopter ride was so fun and amazing. You get to see wonderful scenery from a bird's eye view. Our guide, Iven, ensured our safety was taken care of at the glacier, and he brought us to see beautiful glaciers and hike along icy caves. The whole experience was so fun and splendid. Highly recommended.

Upon landing by helicopter, we were transported to a different world, experiencing something entirely new at the ice glacier. Witnessing the history of the ice glacier up close was a truly memorable and unforgettable experience!

If you're visiting New Zealand's South Island, I highly recommend adding the Fox Glacier hike to your itinerary! You get to admire the beauty of the glacier up close, and there's plenty of time spent on the ice, so it's not just a quick glance. The staff provide detailed explanations about the glacier's formation and evolution, making it both entertaining and educational. The equipment provided is also very comprehensive; basically, you just need to wear your own warm clothing and apply sunscreen. The waterproof jackets, waterproof pants, wool socks, leather boots, and crampons provided by the shop are all well-maintained, so there's no need to worry about the cleanliness of shared items. One thing to note is that because this tour involves a helicopter, it's more susceptible to weather conditions. For example, our original booking was canceled due to heavy rain, but luckily we had an extra night in the area. We simply asked the front desk to rebook us for the next day, and the weather improved, allowing us to depart smoothly.
