Caminhada de Helicóptero na Geleira Franz Josef

It was a fantastic experience. We went in mid-June, and the weather was excellent that day. The glacier staff provided us with plenty of equipment, i.e., crampons, socks, hiking boots, spiked shoes, glacier poles, waterproof jackets, waterproof pants, etc. They also provide extra clothing if needed. However, it's worth noting that you cannot bring your own backpack; you'll need to put your belongings into the small shoulder bag they provide. If you have a camera, you can hang it around your neck. If you wear the gear correctly and follow the guide's instructions, the path won't be too slippery, and you can take beautiful photos throughout the trip! I give full marks for the equipment provided, the professionalism of the guide, and the helicopter experience! This is one of those life experiences worth doing. Glaciers are only getting smaller... now is the most beautiful time to see them!

A must-do in South NZ!! It was the highlight of our trip! Glad to see beautiful sceneries on the helicopter and an interesting hiking adventure on the glacier. Guides were good & ensured our safety.

Mind-Blowing is one word to describe this experience. This was just out of the world, I totally loved this activity. The way the whole activity was organized very professionally, right from the briefing to the end everything went smoothly. Tom was our guide and he was highly skilled. Andy was our helicopter pilot and he flew really well. I felt totally safe and confident to do this activity with Franz Josef Glacier Guides. This is a once in a lifetime activity and I highly recommend this. Don't miss this if you're in Franz Josef.

Unfortunately, due to the weather, we were informed that we could postpone our trip. Although we changed the time, the weather conditions were still not good. Later, we rescheduled for another day, but we had to leave, so we had to decline their suggestion. We are waiting to receive our refund and look forward to another opportunity in the future!

Wonderful experience, the staff are professional and friendly, and I could see the glacier from the top of the helicopter. It's worth trying!

Highly recommended! This is one of New Zealand's most unique activities. Although the price is quite high, it's truly beautiful when the weather is good. I highly recommend it!
