The food buffet spread is simply amazing! Everything you would crave for: lobster, crab legs, oysters, shrimp, steak, lamb chops, Peking duck, sushi & sashimi, and much more! The durian concoctions are both unique and delicious: ice cream, tart, cakes, etc.! Plus, all the staff are friendly and attentive to service!
Hotel Icon's buffet is renowned for its excellent food quality. This time, my husband and I went to enjoy their weekend brunch, and it was an unforgettable experience. We were seated by the window, overlooking the hotel garden. Perhaps due to the large number of customers, the tables and seats felt a bit cramped. In addition to the famous durian dishes, the autumn theme also featured crab. Cold dishes included crab meat and fruit salad, and king crab. The crab meat was fresh and sweet, not just salty. Furthermore, there was crab congee and crab noodles, both incredibly fresh and sweet. There was a wide variety of sashimi, each piece very fresh, with large scallops, oily salmon, sweet shrimp, crispy octopus, and fatty tuna. The roasted beef and lamb chops were tender and flavorful, full of juices even without any sauce. Desserts included Godiva's 70% chocolate and milk soft-serve ice cream, as well as Häagen-Dazs cups. Each dessert was small, making it convenient for guests to try multiple varieties. For those who enjoy alcohol, there was unlimited sparkling wine. Beverage options, besides tea, coffee, lemon tea/water, and fruit juice, also included more unique choices like sugar cane and imperatae root drink, and kumquat juice. The food quality is excellent and truly lives up to its reputation, making it worth visiting again.

I did also try the Chinese restaurant (above and beyond) from this hotel with amazing service and good quality of the food. very satisfying, good services. for THE MARKET buffet have a lot of DURIAN dessert choices. for durian lovers, you must try. not only that, don’t forget to eat the GODIVA ice cream which is you can eat as much as you want😂
The restaurant was quite full when I arrived, and the buffet area seemed a bit small, but it had everything I wanted. The staff were friendly and efficient. They quickly cleared plates, and the cooks kept all the dishes replenished. The chilled crawfish and lobsters were great. The snow crab was a bit watery but decent. The sashimi was okay, but nothing special. They also had some Alaskan crab/King crab dishes. The chef at the grilled King crab was very slow, perhaps intentionally to keep costs down, but there were other king crab dishes that were good too. The dessert section had a durian focus, which I don't like, so I had the Godiva ice cream and panna cotta. They also have a wide selection of beverages, including hot and iced tea and coffee, as well as juices.
This was my first time trying The Market at Hotel Icon. Even though it was a Monday, the restaurant was 80-90% full. As I was dining with elderly family members, they found the pre-arranged chairs with backs a bit uncomfortable. The staff quickly resolved the issue by re-arranging a sofa seating area for us, which we greatly appreciated! The food selection was appropriate, and a pleasant surprise was the jackfruit, which is rarely offered at buffets and was very fresh! Among the durian options, the durian paste was outstanding, and it was even better with ice cream. All the chilled seafood was crisp and springy, with fresh and sweet meat. The crab legs had a strong ocean flavor, a little salty but still delicious. There was a good variety of drinks, with four types of juice and hot/cold coffee and lemon tea to choose from. A special mention goes to the crab and seafood congee, which was very rich and full of fresh flavor. Every staff member was friendly and polite, proactively introducing food options. They also tried their best to accommodate our requests. I forgot to mention that two of our party were celebrating birthdays when I made the reservation, and only asked if they could arrange a plate writing service upon arrival. They managed to arrange it, and it was unexpectedly beautiful. I would definitely go back to try their brunch!
The dishes are abundant and appealing; even after going for food three times, there were still things I wanted to try, and I felt very satisfied after eating. There's a wide selection of salads and fruits. The cold seafood is okay, and there are many choices for cold cuts and cheese. The Thai food was too spicy for my 'baby palate,' but there was also freshly cooked coconut chicken soup and tom yum goong. The sashimi chef cut the fish very thickly. There are many hot food options, including beef, lamb, pork, fish, and shrimp, with two or three varieties of each. They are currently featuring durian desserts; the homemade ice cream is very creamy, likely durian puree mixed with cream, offering an authentic flavor. There's also a whole mountain of durian puree, and I saw people filling ice cream cones with it, eating it like ice cream. For drinks, there's a coffee machine and four types of juice. Both Western and Chinese style soups are available.
The food is really good. If you like seafood, the buffet will be perfect for you. The dessert is also quite good; durian is the main dessert, but there are other options if you don't like durian. Overall, there's a great food selection.
The service was excellent 👍 There were quite a few customers, and the restaurant was a bit crowded, very lively. The overall taste of the food was good 👍 Especially liked: Aqua Green salad greens were very fresh. Tomato beef salad was sour, spicy, and appetizing. Walnut cheese was fragrant and smooth. Coconut chicken stewed soup was sweet and nourishing. Fried German pork knuckle was crispy and tender. Lamb rack was tender and smooth. Roasted beef was fragrant and had a rich beef flavor. Mini durian cheesecake tart had a crispy crust and rich cheese flavor. Durian puree was rich and fragrant (eating just the durian puree was quite filling). Homemade durian ice cream was very rich in ingredients. Durian pineapple buns were freshly baked at 1:30 pm. Fried mixed seafood tasted good. And Godiva soft-serve ice cream. However, the Peking duck and caviar crab toast were just average. (There were many other dishes that I couldn't try one by one 😆) Will visit again with friends 😀

The vegetable salads were fresh and diverse, and there was a wide variety of desserts, allowing me to feast to my heart's content. It's worth mentioning that they also offered options for special dietary needs, such as vegetarian and gluten-free foods, which is a great choice for those with specific dietary requirements. Overall, this buffet dinner left me very satisfied. From the quality and variety of the food to the attitude of the staff and the environment, this restaurant excelled in every aspect. If you are looking for a comfortable and high-quality buffet dinner experience, I highly recommend this restaurant.
Klook offers the best deal for this durian tea, even better than using a PolyU credit card for checkout. Desserts are all-you-can-eat style with free-flow Godiva soft serve🍦. Everything is perfect, but the limited 2-hour dining time is definitely not enough.
