Experiência de trekking ao pôr do sol no Monte Batur em Bali

The Mount Batur sunset trek was a great experience that blends adventure with tranquility. The trail was barely crowded, which is what we were looking for. The trail is moderately challenging, but well worth the effort. As you ascend, panoramic views of Lake Batur and the surrounding volcanic landscape begin to unfold. Reaching the summit just in time for sunset was magical—the sky transforms into a canvas of warm hues, casting a surreal light. The guide was knowledgeable and attentive, ensuring safety. She patiently waited for us whenever we slowed down. Whether you're a nature lover, a photography enthusiast, or simply seeking a peaceful escape, this trek is a must-do. Highly recommended for couples, solo travelers, and small groups looking to experience Bali from a truly elevated perspective.

Tack vare vår fantastiska guide, Wayne, fick vi en oförglömlig soluppgångsvandring på Mt. Batur. Från början till slut var Wayne tålmodig, uppmuntrande och otroligt stöttande, särskilt när vi navigerade den branta stigen i mörkret. Hans lugna vägledning gjorde klättringen mycket mer hanterbar, även för oss som inte vandrar så ofta. På toppen överraskade Wayne oss med en varm och tröstande frukost – ångkokta ägg, färskt bröd och en kopp varmt kaffe som kändes som ren himmel i den kyliga bergsluften. Det var en så omtänksam gest och fick hela upplevelsen att kännas ännu mer speciell. Vi vill också ge ett stort tack till vår chaufför, Mangku. Han var punktlig, vänlig och körde oss säkert och smidigt även under de tidiga morgontimmarna. Hans varma leende och genuina omsorg fick oss att känna oss verkligt välkomna på Bali. Rekommenderar varmt både Wayne och Mangku om ni planerar denna upplevelse.

The driver, Respi, was kind, friendly, and punctual :) It was nice to chat with her. As a young couple who are fit but have never hiked before, this was challenging as it was all uphill. It took us about an hour to reach the top. Honestly speaking, we felt very unsafe because it gets narrow and slippery. We are thankful for the hiking instructor for looking out for us and helping us up, preventing us from slipping. The lunch was made in the kitchen they had there, just a comforting meal :) When we reached the top of Mount Batur, the instructor also showed us the volcanic activity ongoing which was really cool! Unfortunately, as it was too cloudy, there was no sunset and it drizzled here and there. I gets cold up there so do bring a windbreaker or sort! The hike down was very slippery and dark, we were honestly afraid that we would slip and die hahaha. We hiked down for a tough 20minutes and asked for a jeep because we did not want to risk it. The jeep cost us IDR 400,000.

We had the absolute best experience on this sunset tour. Firstly, our driver Aldy was so amazing and nice and made the 2.5 hour drive there from Seminyak and same back go so quickly! Our guide up Mt Batur was incredibly accommodating to our pace, and at the top made us hot tea, snacks, and we even got to cook eggs from the heat of the volcano and eat them!! 10/10 experience, would highly recommend and was amazing value for money. Was totally the highlight of our 9 day Bali trip!!

La primera parada antes de la caminata fue la plantación de café gestionada localmente. Nuestro guía de café, Komang, estaba bien informado y nos contó todo sobre cómo los agricultores locales hacen que la cosecha de café, cacao y té sea sostenible. ¡También un excelente menú de degustación! Estaba lloviendo durante este tiempo y al principio temíamos que la caminata se cancelara, pero afortunadamente la lluvia cesó mientras nos dirigíamos al pie del Monte Batur. Esto fue seguido por una increíble caminata al atardecer por el Monte Batur, y esto a pesar de las condiciones nubladas y con niebla. Todo esto fue gracias a nuestra guía Yuli; su joven y curiosa prima Putu también se unió a nosotros. Si vas a Bali durante la estación seca, te recomendamos esta caminata porque durante el 90% del tiempo, éramos los únicos en el sendero y tuvimos un encuentro con otro grupo a solo 15 minutos de la cima (ellos estaban bajando). El refrigerio que tuvimos en la cabaña de la cima fue el final perfecto: té caliente, sándwiches y huevos duros calientes después de ver la caldera. Un extra para la caminata al atardecer: las hermosas luces del valle de abajo y del lago Batur. 10/10 lo recomendaría para evitar multitudes y hacer ejercicio.

The climb was our best activity that we booked so far. We had helpful trek guides, Ketut and Pantu. The ascend to the peak was very challenging but reaching it was so rewarding with the spectacular view. We chose the sunset trek and it was all worth it as it was not crowded at all. Our trip back to Ubud was so comfortable as we had a driver,Wayan, who drives well and puts our safety first all the time. I will be booking a trip with this team again the next time i come back to Bali.

every things is so great !!the tour guide and driver are all so friendly and kind. though the road is a bit trim to walk but tour guide help us a lots and we are having the most beautiful sunset and dinner there!

Well worth going. Our drivers had to navigate horrendous traffic to bring us from Legian to Kintamani and they were checking in on us often. Our guide was waiting for us at the foot of Mt Batur. He equipped us with walking sticks and On the way down, headlights as well. He made sure we had plenty of rest stops on the way up. He also cooked a lovely banana sandwich for us at the summit, and took many great photos and videos for us. The trek up took about 2h while it took us another 90mins to get down. Round trip from Legian was around 5h so I would suggest to stay Ubud or Kintamani if you wish to climb Mt Batur. Do wear proper hiking shoes for better grip.

Such an intimate adventure with my wife. And an experienced guide to lead the way. There wasn't any other tourists around and only ran into another of 5 on the way down. Felt like we had the whole climb experience to ourselves! no regrets with the sunset experience!

The sunset view have been underrated! As a result, there was only one other group there when we got to the peak, which allowed us to fully enjoy the views. Not an easy hike & keep in mind that you will have to hike down in darkness. Driver was very flexible with the schedule, dropping us at the hot springs prior (would not recommend)
